Abstract: The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a walk-in bathtub. The method involves heating an acrylic sheet, wherein the outer perimeter of the sheet is heated to a higher temperature than the center of the sheet. The heated acrylic sheet is then placed over a vacuum mold that is shaped like a bathtub, including a seat and a foot well, and drawn into the mold by the vacuum. Vacuum pressure is manually reduced when the acrylic reaches the top of the seat in the mold, and the vacuum is shut off when the acrylic is approximately two inches from the bottom of the foot well of the mold. The acrylic is removed from the mold, reinforced with fiberglass and secured to a support frame. A door space is cut in the side of the tub and a pre-hung door assembly is then installed in the door threshold.

The face sheet and noise attenuation layer include acoustically transparent joints. The noise attenuation layer includes a first side joined to a second side at a seam by an adhesive strip. The adhesive strip bonds the first side to the second side without filling any chambers. The face sheet includes a joint filled with an adhesive providing the desired uninterrupted surface within the fan case. Openings are formed through the joint and the adhesive to communicate with the underlying noise attenuation layer. The joint and seam become essentially transparent acoustically to improve noise attenuation performance.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a head gimbal assembly manufacturing method which can attach another magnetic head slider to a suspension to be reused without addition of solder. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a head gimbal assembly (HGA) is attached to a jig. Both sides of a portion close to the rear end of a magnetic head slider are gripped with hot tweezers heated at about 200° C. They are heated for about four seconds while applying force in a direction of peeling off the magnetic head slider from gimbals, thus removing the magnetic head slider from the gimbals. When another magnetic head slider is attached to the suspension, an adhesive adhered to the gimbals is removed and another adhesive is applied to the gimbals. The back of another magnetic head slider is pressed to the adhesive, whereby the magnetic head slider is fixed to the gimbals. Next, the solder fillet left on the gimbals is irradiated with laser beams to be melted and joined to an electric terminal.

The switch consists of an upper inductive coil at one end of a micro-cavity; optionally, a lower inductive coil; and a free-moving inductive element preferably made of magnetic material. The coils are provided with an inner permalloy core. Switching is achieved by passing a current through the upper coil, inducing a magnetic field unto the inductive element. The magnetic field attracts the free-moving inductive element upwards, shorting two open conductive wires, closing the switch. When the current flow stops or is reversed, the free-moving magnetic element drops back by gravity to the bottom of the micro-cavity and the conductive wires open. When the chip is not mounted with the correct orientation, the lower coil pulls the free-moving inductive element back at its original position.

Abstract: An engine is connected to the upper end of a drive shaft housing and a work head with a string trimmer or blower or both is operatively connected to the lower end of the drive shaft housing and is rotatably driven by an engine rotating a drive shaft inside the drive shaft housing and connected to the working head. The drive shaft housing is rigidly connected to the working head and may be rotated about its longitudinal axis relative to the engine in any desired amount of rotation, but the preferred degree of rotation is 135° to move the working head from a trimming position with the rotating trimmer string in a horizontal position to an edging position with the rotating trimmer string in a vertical position and with the working head being displaced to the operator's right side for better viewing and control and operator comfort.

Abstract: A chainsaw is provided having a brake band disposed about a brake drum, which is rotated upon movement of a throttle control trigger to an on throttle position. Rotation of the brake drum results in rotation of the saw chain about the saw bar. A braking mechanism, in its normal position, serves to draw the brake band taut about the brake drum to prevent advancement of the saw chain. A safety lever is associated with the braking mechanism, and, in its braking position does not affect the normal position of the braking mechanism. When the safety lever is moved to its release position, the braking mechanism is manipulated and the brake band is loosened from about the brake drum. When loosened, moving the throttle control trigger to the on throttle position causes the brake drum rotate to drive the elements of the chainsaw that serve to advance the saw chain.

Abstract: A universal blind marking apparatus is disclosed where the system includes components that are universally usable to identify where a wall should be cut or a hole should be drilled. The system includes a plurality of adhesive backed pads that are placed in the corners or along curved surfaces. When the surface to be marked is brought into contact with the pads. Some marking material is transferred through the pad identifying where to cut or drill on the surface. The apparatus also works for the marking of vent holes and the routing of electrical wires. In another embodiment the pads are fabricated with sides having different adhesive properties where the low adhesive side is adhered to an object and when the object is brought in contact with a surface the high adhesive side transfers the pad to the surface.
