Abstract: A vacuum cleaner device containing a water filter and a filter shroud. The filter shroud contains an outer wall having a gap for the passage of water and air, an inner wall placed near the gap and coaxial with the outer wall, and a dry filter at the top of the device. Contaminated air enters the filter shroud near the center of the inner wall. Most of the contaminants are filtered out of the air by the water. The air passes along the inner wall, through a channel between the inner and outer walls, through the gap in the outer wall, and up through the dry filter. The air reaching the dry filter has lost all of the water and most of the contaminants. The configuration of the filter shroud prevents the dry filter from becoming wet and losing its effectiveness.

Abstract: The present invention provides a reverse opening type separable end stop having a mechanism which securely locks a reverse opening type slider on a surface of an insert pin or a box pin, thereby blocking the slider from needlessly moving inward, wherein the reverse opening type separable end stop comprises a reverse opening type slider, a box pin and an insert pin, the insert pin or the box pin being provided with a contact portion with which a locking pawl provided on the reverse opening type slider mounted on a fastener chain can always make contact by colliding an end surface thereof in an opening/closing direction at an end portion of the fastener chain, so that the contact portion is locked by the locking pawl, whereby a high quality reverse opening type separable end stop is ensured.

Abstract: A touch fastener including an elongated base having multiple segments connected by articulable joints. Each segment has an upper surface, a lower surface, and a plurality of touch fastener elements extending from the lower surface of the base. A flexible barrier extends across at least one articulable joint between adjacent base segments. The fastener may include a magnetically attractable material disposed along a center region of the upper surface of the base. The fastener base may define a pair of first and second notches in opposite longitudinal edges of the base at the articulable joint to allow bending of the base. The base may also define a slit extending through the base from a longitudinal edge thereof at the articulable joint.

Abstract: A clip for use in holding cords or tubing, comprising an upper jaw and a lower jaw, each of them having a grasping part and articulated with respect to the other about a hinge between a closed position and an open position; a spring biasing the jaws into the closed position; a tubular sheath having a longitudinal opening, connected between the jaws; and a means for moving the jaws into the open position. The longitudinal opening is open when the jaws are in the open position and closed when the jaws are in the closed position. The sheath is adapted to receive cords or tubing through the longitudinal opening when the jaws are in the open position, and retain the cords or tubing when the jaws are in the closed position. The sheath is adapted to retain medical tubing or electrical cords.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for winding a strip (17) consisting of a plurality of parallel threads (18) onto a rotating warping drum (2), wherein the winding position of each individual thread is determined with the aid of a thread guide (21) which is associated with a thread selection device (8) and which is allocated to said thread. The thread guides (21) are displaced in the direction of the axis of rotation (6) of the warping drum (2) from a rest position into a working position and the individual threads (18) are seized successively by an internal thread carrier (30) associated with the warping drum (2).

Abstract: The casing cutter disclosed herein is useful for severing downhole tubulars and comprises a body, a cutting head, cutting blades, and actuators for operating the cutting head and cutting blades. Cutting is accomplished by rotatingly actuating the cutting head with an associated motor, and then radially extending the cutting blades away from the cutting head. In one embodiment, the cutting head includes a cutting member that pivotally extends from the cutting head upon rotation of the cutting head. In another embodiment, cutting members extend from the cutting head due to centrifugal forces associated with rotating the cutting head.

Abstract: A mounting spindle with a thread that is formed adapted to the thread-protecting element, formed as a helical wire, serves as a mounting tool with the mounting method. The helical wire is fixed on the mounting spindle by frictional engagement, which is greater than the torque necessary for mounting the helical wire into the receiving threads. The mounting spindle with the helical wire fixed thereon is then threaded into the receiving threads. Then, the mounting spindle is removed from the helical wire by rotation opposite to the mounting direction. The frictional force is achieved by a reduced-diameter end section of the helical wire.
