Abstract: A flower-shaped bag (including but not limited to: handbag, purse, belt bag, duffel bag, tote bag, pouch, backpack, fanny pack, waist bag, etc) in its entirety takes the form of a flower; in that its shape resembles a flower in bud when the bag opening is closed, and resembles a flower in blossom when the bag opening is opened. When the bag opening is in a close position, the form structure (42), comprises of constituent flower petals (19), is capable of changing the bag's shape to resemble a flower in bud by folding and partially overlapping the petals to seal the bag opening, keeping articles securely stored within. When the bag opening is in an open position, the shape of the form structure changes to resemble a flower in blossom by unfolding the partially overlapped flower petals; this provides an opening to access articles stored inside.

Abstract: In a tire tread with a decoupling groove (38), the edge (36) of the tread rib (32) adjoining the decoupling groove (38) has a wavy contour. The wavy edge (36) provides protection from step-off wear because erosion at one location is confined to the affected wave. The adjacent edge (44) of the decoupler rib (34) may have a complementary wavy contour. In the area of the contact patch, where the vehicle load on the tire deforms the tread, these two edges (36,44) will interlock with each other, thus protecting the outer edge (36) of the tread rib. Instead, the outer edge of the decoupler rib (34) will be subjected to erosion wear. Toward the bottom of the decoupling groove (38), the wavy contour of the edges (36,44) may taper off. The bottom of the decoupling groove (38) can be arranged in a straight circumferential line.

A cord exiting guide tube end is axially offset to remote extremities of the first and second roller annular grooves and a first and second axially extending slits are formed within the guide tube opposite the roller annular grooves, respectively.

Abstract: A heat and sealant delivery nozzle is constructed for sealing seams between adjacent sheets of flooring. The nozzle of the invention is formed from separate, mating sealant feeding and hot air conducting members that fit to and are secured together. The two part construction of the nozzle produces first and second enclosed plenum chambers therebetween with a series of ducts and passages that preheat both the groove in the flooring that is to receive molten sealant, and the sealant itself. Furthermore, although the pattern of ducts, passages, and cavities within the finished nozzle is quite intricate, the ducts, passageways, and ports are formed without great difficulty due to the two part construction of the nozzle. Moreover, the nozzle is constructed so that the hot air does not mix with the sealant within an internal melting chamber, but rather makes contact with the molten sealant only when the sealant leaves the nozzle.

Abstract: A heat-sealing apparatus comprising a pair of opposed hot plates and a pair of hot plate-mounting blocks to which said hot plates are mounted, respectively. The hot plates respectively have pressing surfaces adapted to be pressed against each other with superimposed film sheets held therebetween during sealing; and mounting surfaces formed at opposite sides to said pressing surfaces. The hot plate-mounting blocks respectively have support surfaces. The hot plates are mounted to said hot plate-mounting blocks in such a manner that the mounting surfaces are pressed against the support surfaces, and that the hot plates can thermally expand and contract in a sealing direction without being restrained by said hot plate-mounting blocks. In another aspect of the invention, the mounting surfaces are formed on respective surfaces extending substantially perpendicular to the pressing surfaces and the hot plates are mounted on respective support surfaces formed on the hot plate-mounting blocks.

Abstract: This invention relates to a process and/or method and associated apparatus for use in spray freeze drying a fluid substance such as fruit juice, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, tea and coffee. A fluid substance is sprayed (atomised) and reduces in temperature to below its eutectic temperature; thereby inducing a phase change of fluids in the fluid substance. The atomised fluid substance (AFS) is then subjected to a vacuumous drying chamber in which the AFS is subjected to an energy source to assist sublimation of fluid from the AFS as it is conveyed through the chamber. Such an energy source can provide a temperature gradient through which the AFS passes and is exposed to, all carried out so as to preferably minimise or reduce the likelihood of degradation of the substance being dried (reducing the fluid content).

Abstract: An awning assembly includes an awning and support arms and rafters that are adapted to support the awning from a backing structure both when the awning is in an extended position and when it is in a retracted position. The support arms and rafters are mounted to the backing structure in a manner that allows for the positions of the support arms and rafters to be readily converted as the awning is extended and retracted. Additionally, the manner in which each rafter is joined to a respective support arm allows for the convenient rearrangement of the rafters and support arms to facilitate supporting of the awning in both the extended and retracted positions. A cooperative roller mechanism, on which the awning is wound and unwound, and locking device are provided to lock the awning in place. The awning assembly, in a particular embodiment, is applied to a pop-up trailer.

Each end portion of the sheet material is connected to a frame member at a respective side of the opening, the flexible sheet material being of an open structure and the connection with the frame member being by adhesive which permeates the material from one side to the other. The connection of the sheet material to the frame members is such as to resist loading applied by an adult person acting against the sheet material. The sheet material can be cut by a sharp blade for subsequent removal of the temporary protection from the opening when no longer required.

The pattern on the sleeves can be the same, related to subsequent sleeves or allow for staggering of the printed pattern. The pattern can also repeat after a finite number of sleeves. The consumer slips the end of the sleeve onto a vane of the vertical blind. The sleeve is secured to the top of the blind and the end of the sleeve is trimmed. The consumer continues this process for the remaining sleeves. The sleeves are fabricated from a variety of materials including paper, film, natural or synthetic fibers. The pattern is seasonal; theme based, and is easily changeable. The sleeve also provides additional insulation and light filtering properties.
