Abstract: A vacuum device and method of use for capturing unwanted pests includes a housing including a carrying handle, an inlet opening capable of communicating unwanted pests therethrough, an inlet duct in open communication with a bag cavity, an exhaust duct in open communication with at least one exhaust vent, a bag cavity adapted to receive a bag including at least one layer of air-permeable material, optionally including a pesticide, a plurality of pliable members sealingly engaging one another when the vacuum is not operating and cooperating to form a passageway when the vacuum is operating, and a bag mounting flange, at least one exhaust vent in open communication with the exhaust duct for passing exhaust air away from the housing to air surrounding the housing; and a suction-creating device that creates suction thereby forming a vacuum within the housing. Optionally, the bag may include a pleasantly scented compound.

Abstract: A cleaning device with an elongated housing having a grip at one end and a cleaning head at another end, a dirt collection device and a vacuum source. The cleaning head has a rotary agitator, a first inlet opening having a first cross-sectional area, and a second inlet opening having a second cross-sectional area. The second cross-sectional area may be substantially less than the first cross-sectional area. The second inlet opening may be above the first inlet opening. There also may be a fluid supply tank and an associated pump, and the pump and agitator may be driven by the same motor.

Abstract: A blower/vacuum having an air inlet cover and a blower tube, both of which attach to a blower housing for operation of the blower/vacuum in a blower mode. The air inlet cover may removably attach to both the blower housing and to the blower tube. In some embodiments, operation of the blower/vacuum may generally be restricted unless both the blower tube and the air inlet cover are first installed. The blower/vacuum may further be adapted to operate in a vacuum mode by removing the air inlet cover and blower tube and replacing the same with a vacuum tube assembly and a vacuum collection container, respectively.

Abstract: A swivel caster assembly has a spring-loaded detent pin in a cylinder threaded into a nut mounted to the underside of the caster horn top. A lower bearing race has detent notches in an outer peripheral surface under the caster horn top and engage-able by the pin to control directional orientation of the horn relative to a load carried by it. The cylinder is adjustable by turning the cylinder in the nut, to change the amount of orientation control. The detent features are concealed under the top portion of the horn.

The track and roller system comprises a track for supporting for a plurality of rollers and a mounting bar. The rollers are connected to base portions of sliding supports for the tarpaulin. The track has at least one interlocking element. The mounting bar supports the at least one light means below the track. The mounting bar has an outwardly facing supporting portion for supporting the at least one light means and an interlocking portion connected to the supporting portion. The interlocking portion has at least one interlocking element for interlocking with the at least one interlocking element of the track.

The hinge comprises a base member having a slot and a channel generally perpendicular to the slot, an adjustment nut disposed in the channel, the adjustment nut having a generally circumferential recess and a threaded axial bore, the adjustment nut being rotationally fixed within the channel, a screw threadably engaged in the threaded axial bore and axially fixed relative to the base member and a leaf for insertion into the slot. The leaf has a slot dimensioned to receive the circumferential recess, wherein rotation of the screw moves the adjustment nut axially in the channel, thereby moving the leaf in the slot.

A stopper part is slidably disposed between a detent position and a release position on the first hinge part, and comprises an outer toothed surface and a first control region. An adjusting part is connected to a shaft and comprises a second control region cooperating with the first control region. An elastic means biases the stopper part in the detent position. On the second hinge part defines an inner toothed surface, which mates with the outer toothed surface. The stopper part is axially slidably disposed on the first hinge part, is substantially non-rotatably disposed, and is spaced an additional axial distance apart from the first hinge part in the detent position than in the release position.

Abstract: This invention provides a clip for joining tubular members that employs living hinges that are part of a unitary clip including jaws and a base spring. The jaws are joined by a center living hinge and each jaw is also joined along a surface opposite its gripping surface to a cantilevered end of the base spring by a side-mounted living hinge. When the clip jaws are in a fully open orientation, with the center hinge at a maximum distance away from the base spring, the user biases the central hinge toward the base spring. The base spring ends are thereby biased away from each other, and after the jaws rotate about their living hinges through a position of maximum spread in the base spring ends, the spring ends rebound, forcing the jaws downward toward the base spring, and into a fully closed orientation. The clip includes a base that can be an anchor that embeds in foam of an upholstery cushion, or can have an adhesive that allows it to be secured to a structure, in the case of a pipe or conduit clamp.

Abstract: One aspect of the invention is a method for making a memorial piece. The method includes capturing an initial digital image representative of memorial information. The digital image is edited to create an adjusted digital image, which is then converted to create a three-dimensional image. The three-dimensional image is used to generate a three-dimensional pattern, which in turn is used to generate a mold cavity. At least some memorial information is contained in the mold cavity. A rough casting is formed within the mold cavity such that the memorial information is imparted to the rough casting. The rough casting is then cleaned and prepared. The casting is then oxidized to form a memorial piece with memorial information thereon.

Abstract: A flexible system for welding motor-vehicle bodies or subassemblies thereof envisages a series of pairs of side frames provided with referencing and clamping devices for keeping in the correct position the structures to be assembled during welding. For each different type of body to be assembled a different pair of side frames is provided, equipped with referencing and clamping devices adapted to the respective type of body. Each pair of side frames is associated to a basic structure, with which it forms a unitary referencing and clamping module. Said modules can be moved through the assembly station to follow one another in the operative welding position, according to the type of body to be welded. The structure to be assembled, or at least part thereof, is fed to the welding station by means of a conveying line that is totally independent and separate from the basic structures of the modules.

Abstract: Method and system for manufacturing small wind energy gathering devices, for example, of geometrical dimensions tip to ?th of an inch (microdevices), employing micro-fabrication techniques. For example, three-dimensional single chemical composition parts of a small wind energy gathering device are manufactured using two-photon three dimensional lithography. Preferably, a plurality of such parts are manufactured in parallel, thereby optimizing the production process. The plurality of parts may be handled and assembled using precision instruments such as micro-tweezers, micro-scissors, and holographic lasers. Nanowires may be used to interconnect a plurality of the microdevices together, or to connect components of a particular microdevice. These nanowires are produced in nanowire arrays and are attached to a common base structure.
