Publication number: 20080149716Abstract: In a mobile terminal, a control section monitors a battery residual amount at a power supply section, if the battery residual amount is less than a preset threshold, it refers to the states of various flags stored in a flag table at a memory section. Subsequently, if the control section judges it is before exit after entry for a service for the object of a lock temporary release and an entry and exit usage service, it changes a noncontact IC card function section to a lock temporary release state. This allows the noncontact IC card function to be in a lock temporary release state, just before the power supply is turned off, even if the battery residual amount is low. Therefore, when the commuter gets off a train and passes through a station ticket gate, the commuter may use the noncontact IC card function.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2007Publication date: June 26, 2008Applicant: Casio Hitachi Mobile Communications Co.Inventor: Kenichi Sakai

The anti-backlash device is sufficiently resilient and flexible so that it is disposed in tension against the reel sufficiently strongly to prevent knots and tangles but not so strongly as to prevent rotation of the reel during use thereof.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2007Publication date: June 26, 2008Inventor: Jaclyn Caswell

Publication number: 20080149754Abstract: A netting deployment and recovery system for covering vines and row crops has a collecting and dispensing cart that travels aside the row to be covered while netting is unrolled from a spool and guided overhead to a sweep tube mounted on a boom. In deploying the netting, a sweep tube directs the netting from the spool up over the row such that it spreads outward and lays over the row as the cart moves forward. In removing the netting the sweep tube gathers the relatively open netting at the upper end and conveys it in a compressed form back to the take up reels. The sweep tube is mounted to pivot about the boom in response to excess tension when the netting is deployed or removed. Such pivoting of the sweep tube engages an actuator to modulate the rotation of the take up reel. The orientation of the sweep tube is reversed for deployment and retrieval of the netting. In retrieving the netting the tension of the netting is reduced via the take up spool to avoid breakage.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2006Publication date: June 26, 2008Inventor: Andrew J. Publication number: 20080149756Abstract: A web winding device (not shown) is disposed in a downstream side from a slitter (not shown) in a web transporting direction. Spacers 34 for positioning and winding cores 33 are mounted alternately to a first winding shaft 26 of the web winding device. Each spacer 34 includes a spacer body 57 being in contact with a peripheral surface of the first winding shaft 26 and contact members 58 being in contact with the winding cores 33 on both sides of the spacer body 57. The contact member 58 is held by a contact member holding recess 59 provided in the spacer body 57. A plurality of resin rollers 62 are disposed between the contact member 58 and the contact member holding recess 59. Thereby, the contact member 58 is rotatably held relative to the spacer body 57. Since each winding core 33 can be rotated independently, it is possible to wind webs at a stable winding tension.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2006Publication date: June 26, 2008Applicant: FUJIFILM CORPORATIONInventor: Fujio Kuwabara

Publication number: 20080149757Abstract: In a reel change in the reeling process of a fiber material web, the fiber material web (W) running to a reel that is becoming full is changed to run around a new reeling core (2) brought to a reel change position in such a way that the web is made to adhere onto the surface of the new reeling core (2). The web (W) is made to adhere onto the surface of the reeling core (2) by a change in the properties of the material on the surface of the reeling core (2). The material is a combination of an adhesive area (6a) on the surface of the reeling core and a protective layer (6b) on top of the adhesive area, and the properties of the material are changed by removing the protective layer (6b).Type: ApplicationFiled: February 3, 2006Publication date: June 26, 2008Applicant: METSO PAPER, INC.Inventors: Jari Tiitta, Pekka Ruha, Topi Tynkkynen, Tatu Pitkanen, Petteri Lannes, Teppo Kojo, Hannu Kasula, Matti Kemppainen

Publication number: 20080149758Abstract: An unmanned air vehicle designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, data acquisition, and general research. The vehicle is a monoplane that is comprised of several pieces that can easily be assembled using a minimal amount of tools. The aircraft consists of a forward and aft fuselage section, two identical horizontal stabilizers, and four identical wing sections. The aircraft can fly with all four wing sections, or with just two wing sections (the short wing configuration). This makes the aircraft usable for missions requiring short takeoff and landing and high endurance (long wing), or missions requiring higher speed and range (short wing). No other UAV (or other aircraft) has this unique feature. Another novel aspect of the present invention is the wing control can be specially designed to increase the effectiveness of the wing control surface while minimizing the effect the control surface has on the overall aerodynamics of the wing, namely drag.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2007Publication date: June 26, 2008Inventors: Richard D. Publication number: 20080149760Abstract: An aircraft including a wing and a pylon, wherein the pylon provides an airfoil inverted for an airfoil of the wing, and an improvement and method for improved flight dynamics for 20 and 30 Series Learjets are disclosed. The improvement includes an increased distance between a leading edge of a wing and an intake of an engine of the aircraft, which reduces drag and increases lift for improved flight dynamics of the. The inverted airfoil of the pylon negates an influence of the pylon on flight dynamics for improved overall flight dynamic of the aircraft. The method includes steps of removing an original engine from an original pylon, removing the original pylon from the fuselage of the aircraft, and mounting a new pylon in a new location adjacent the fuselage, wherein the new location is aft of the original location.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2006Publication date: June 26, 2008Applicant: Calvin BurgessInventors: Clark M. Publication number: 20080149761Abstract: Plural regions are defined within a main wing by a plurality of spars and ribs. Of these regions, predetermined regions extending from a main wing connecting portion of the pylon to an internal space of a leading edge skin are used as wiring/piping accommodating chambers for collectively accommodating wiring and piping which provide communication between an engine and a fuselage, a predetermined region adjacent to parts of the wiring/piping accommodating chambers is used as a landing device accommodating chamber for accommodating a landing device and predetermined regions adjacent to other parts of the wiring/piping accommodating chambers are used as fuel tanks. Thus, the maintainability is improved as compared with the case where the wiring and the piping are distributed within the main wing. In addition, because the wiring/piping accommodating chambers are isolated from the landing device accommodating chamber and the fuel tanks, the operational reliability can be improved.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2007Publication date: June 26, 2008Applicant: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Jun Nakazawa, Kazuhide Hasegawa, Hirohide Azuma
