Abstract: Stock for a recoilless hunting rifle, for medium and large caliber hunting guns, which eliminates the stress produced by the effect of the recoil on the shooter's shoulder, providing at the same time a good targeting precision and a reduced consumption of bullet cartridges or shot cartridges. The stock has a stock butt and a mechanical anti-recoil module, with fast assembling, and a gun stock resembling the classical gun stocks but without transferring the recoil force to the shooter's shoulder. The recoilless buttstock comprises a mechanical anti-recoil module, presented as an assembly comprising a coupling member, an elastic mechanism, a fixed seating with rollers, a superior guide with spring, an inferior guide with spring and the case of the stock.

Abstract: A firearm security device including a frame to which a fixed plate and a movable plate are attached. A grip pad is attached to each of the opposing inner sides of the fixed and movable plates. A trigger guard stud is attached to and projects from the inner face of the fixed plate. The trigger guard stud inserts through the trigger guard of the firearm. Means are provided for shifting the movable plate from an open position wherein the firearm is positioned with the trigger guard stud projecting through the trigger guard, to a closed position where the movable plate is positioned substantially parallel to the fixed plate and at least a portion of the receiver of the firearm is held in a compressive grip between the grip pads. A lock selectively restricts operation of the shifting means and the movable plate.

Abstract: An improved waterfowl decoy includes a molded plastic main body including an underside, the main body having the general configuration of a selected waterfowl and a keel structure including a longitudinally extended hollow keel tube mounted on the underside of the main body. An anchor weight is configured such that it fits within the hollow keel tube, and a generally tangle-free anchor line is connected to and extends from the anchor weight up to one end of the hollow keel tube and further extends through at least a portion of the hollow keel tube such that the anchor line extends at least partially through the hollow keel. Finally, the anchor weight fits within the hollow keel tube when the generally tangle-free anchor line is pulled up and through the hollow keel tube whereby the anchor weight is releasably securable within the hollow keel tube.

Abstract: The invention is a fishing pole with an integrated line tension measuring device Measured line tension is displayed in quantitative units, pounds or kilograms. A line tension warning system activates when the sensed line tension exceeds a threshold set by the fisherman. The line tension measuring device does not touch the fishing line so the fishing pole with integrated line tension measuring device fishes and operates like a normal fishing pole. The line tension measuring device may be integrated into the fishing reel seat which, in turn, is an integral part of the fishing pole.

Abstract: An humane trap for small animals, such as cats, includes a housing having rigid bottom, top, side, front and rear end walls which cooperate to define an animal-receiving chamber, the front end wall being guided for vertical movement between opened and closed positions relative to the other housing walls. A retaining rod is axially displaceable within the chamber between a retaining position in which an end portion of the rod extends through a retaining opening contained in the second wall to maintain the same in the open position, and a released position removed from the retaining opening, whereby the second wall is displaced by gravity downwardly toward the closed position. The retaining rod is released either by a food retention plate that is engaged by the animal in the trap, or by a remotely controlled solenoid arrangement.

The mechanism for controlling rotative movement of the trapping means provides high sensitivity of the trap. Abstract: A fan containing apparatus has a first enclosure which can accommodate a conventional mosquito coil/mosquito candle/vaporizing device, etc. The smoke/vapors are blown by the fan through an outlet in the apparatus to provide a much better distribution of the gas/smoke/vapor into a room. A perforated hose can be attached to the outlet to provide a much better positioning of the gas/smoke/vapor in a room or outdoor area.

In the first position, the stop member engages an engagement surface of the actuator to obstruct movement of the actuator and prevent movement of the bolt to the retracted position, and in the second position, the stop member does not obstruct movement of the actuator.

The frame can be secured in a doorway rough opening with the nosing assembled to the jamb plate, using the mounting fin for initial securement, optionally without assembly or disassembly of the frame at the construction site. Pultruded substrate covering covers both the outer surface and opposing sides of a mullion substrate. A pultruded mullion nosing is assembled to the substrate covering, and overlies part of the substrate cover, providing complete pultruded overlayment of the outer surface of the mullion substrate and spacing the front panel of the nosing from the outer surface of the substrate.

A separate end glide foot supports each end of the transverse base bar. A self-leveling intermediate glide foot projects downward from at least some of the plurality of wall panels to support those wall panels on a floor.

The casing comprises a face which defines a finished slab edge for an unfinished slab edge; and, a base which extends from the face. The base is connectable to one of a slab face that is adjacent the unfinished slab edge or is registerable with the unfinished slab edge. The face and base have respective inside surfaces that define a form into which concrete is poured and allowed to cure. One of the face and base also comprise a reinforcing element mount for receiving a reinforcing element that extends from the unfinished slab edge. A method for installing the casing is also provided.

Abstract: A method and assembly for setting a pole having a container with an opening in a top, side wall and bottom to form a hollow chamber that receives a predetermined amount of concrete. Extending inwardly from the bottom wall and aligned with the opening is a knob. Water is added to the container and mixed with the concrete. A pole is inserted through the opening and is slidably received on the knob to center the pole as the concrete sets.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cushioned impervious flooring usually formed in place. At least one layer of closed cell cushion is overlaid with a reinforcing mesh having interstitial spaces, a layer of adhesive is applied to adhere the reinforcing mesh to the cushion and to adhere the reinforcing layer to a layer of sheet flooring. Tapered edges provide gentle transition from the cushioned impervious flooring to adjacent surfaces at a different elevation. Joints in the closed cell cushion, reinforcing layer and sheet flooring are offset from each other to provide smooth installation and more strength.

A plurality of different secondary three-dimensional patterns are also formed over the surface of the panel. The secondary three-dimensional patterns are arranged such that different ones of the second three-dimensional patterns are used on different areas of the first three-dimensional pattern.

Abstract: A building framework includes metal columns (e.g., tubular or I-beam), wood-product beams, and bracket connectors for joining the beams to the columns to form a building joint of sufficient strength and durability for buildings suitable for human occupation. First mechanical fasteners (such as bolts and nuts) secure a selected connector to the column, and second mechanical fasteners (such as lag bolts) secure a selected beam to the connector. The columns include double rows of holes. A plurality of different connectors with differently angled flanges are provided, such that beams can be connected at a wide variety of different angles. Further, the system allows columns and/or beams to be cut at the construction site, or at a building supply company. Thus, basic building components can be inventoried in a manner not previously possible, yet the system supports a wide variety of different building frames for on-site customization and adaptability.

Abstract: A frame for doors, windows, and the like of buildings includes upper and lower portions that are both made of wood. The upper portion of the frame is made of a conventional wood, and at least a portion of the lower portion of the frame is made of a wood that is naturally resistant to weathering, decay, rot, insects, or the like. According to other aspects of the present invention, other building components such as doors, trim, and the like may also be constructed utilizing different wood species for different parts of the component to provide different levels of rot and/or decay resistance for different parts of the component.

Abstract: An apparatus (“chair”) for supporting one or more reinforcement bars or post-tension cables (“bars/cables”) in a concrete structure includes a base member having a centered opening, a pair of opposing first leg members extending upward from the base member at a first angle, a pair of opposing second leg members extending upward from the base member at a second angle, and a strap-shaped locking cradle. The strap-shaped locking cradle includes an arc-shaped receiving portion attached to the first and second leg members, a flexible portion suitable for wrapping over the bars/cables and a fastener to affix the flexible portion to the arc-shaped receiving portion or one of the first leg members such that transverse and vertical movement of the bars/cables is limited and longitudinal movement of the bars/cables is allowed.

Abstract: A tapered truss is provided. In one embodiment, the truss has a pair of base members configured to be attached to a top surface of a vertical support member. The truss may further have an upper pair of truss members and a lower pair of truss members. Each upper truss member each forms an acute angle with a respective base member and each lower truss member forms an obtuse angle from the respective base member such that the lower truss member is not parallel to the upper truss member. The truss may additionally include a ceiling joist member connected to each of the lower truss members. In one embodiment, the ceiling joist member is substantially parallel to the pair of base members.

Abstract: An anchor bolt positioning and restraining apparatus eliminates use of the conventional J-shaped anchor bolt and replaces it with a straight-line anchor rod. The apparatus includes a support plate having an anchor bolt attachment means attached thereto, a pair of opposed, identical, upstanding positioning and restraining arms attached to lateral ends of the support plate and a straight-line anchor bolt that is secured to the attachment means after the foundation wall is constructed. The positioning and restraining arms invariably position anchor bar at exactly the same location within an interior core of the cinder block such that the anchor bar will consistently project above the sill plate on its centerline, while projecting at a consistent height and at a consistent ninety degree angle with respect to the top surface of the sill plate so that an anchoring nut and washer combination can be properly attached to the projecting end of the anchor bar when tying the building framing to the foundation wall.

Abstract: An improved flashing for sealing an opening of an architectural structure, comprising a generally vertically disposed substantially planar forward portion having an upper end and a lower end. A base portion rearwardly projects generally from the upper end of the forward portion and has an upper surface that includes a generally inclined portion and also includes a plurality of outwardly projecting spaced apart ribs. Kits and methods employing the flashing are described as well.
