  • Patent number: 7419362
Abstract: Blade load path on a gas turbine disk can be diverted to provide a significant disk fatigue life benefit. A plurality of gas turbine blades are attachable to a gas turbine disk, where each of the gas turbine blades includes a blade dovetail engageable in a correspondingly-shaped dovetail slot in the gas turbine disk. In order to reduce gas turbine disk stress, an optimal material removal area is defined according to blade and/or disk geometry to maximize a balance between stress reduction on the gas turbine disk, a useful life of the gas turbine blade, and maintaining or improving the aeromechanical behavior of the gas turbine blade. Removing material from the material removal area effects the maximized balance.

  • Patent number: 7419368
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards an air circulation device. The air circulation device is capable of producing and directing an air current to a desired location. The air current is used to circulate stagnant air which, in turn, provides a cooling effect. Advantageously, the device is electrically powered by 12-volt direct current (DC) but is capable of producing an air current of a magnitude similar to or greater than that produced by air circulation devices which are powered by 120-volt alternating current (AC). Further, the device contains at least one retractable elongated support which allows the device to stand upright on a flat surface when the support is in an extended position. When the device is not in use, the support may be retracted so as to be protected from being damaged during transport. Still further, the device is manufactured of a polymeric material and the motor and bearings of the device are sealed.

  • Patent number: 7419396
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a waterproof connector having an adjusted spacing between terminals or electrical wires for achieving an effective waterproof. The electrical wires received in a terminal receiving portion of an outer housing are guided to a wire seal fit portion, while the electrical wires are pressed with wire holders (displacement limit portions). The electrical wires are then passed through a holder (spacing adjusting portion), a seal member, and another holder (lead-out portion) of a wire seal in the wire seal fit portion. The wire seal is fitted into the wire seal fit portion for achieving waterproof of the waterproof connector. The electrical wires guided out of the lead-out portion have an equal spacing therebetween by expansion of the spacings between the electrical wires or displacements thereof. The equal spacing ensures insertion of the seal member and provides the effective waterproof.

  • Patent number: 7419400
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly for connecting a flexible circuit to a circuit board includes a flexible circuit attached to a clamp member and a plurality of alignment posts extending from the circuit board. The clamp member has notches that receive the posts to place the contact field of the flexible circuit above the contact field of the circuit board. A spring assembly attached to the clamp member has a manually-operated drive that moves a cam member deflecting the spring against the posts, generating a spring force pressing the clamp member against the circuit board. Barriers formed on the posts prevent contact of the flexible circuit with the circuit board until the contact fields are properly aligned.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dehumidifier safety cut-off system. This invention is an after-market safety accessory for existing dehumidifiers which operate through the use of a condensate-pump. The safety cut-off system would automatically shut down a dehumidifier in the event of pump failure by disabling the power supply to the dehumidifier. This system would consist of a compact housing with an external power cord, a transformer, a normally closed relay, and a pair of external, low voltage leads that would be connected to the safety float switch leads of the condensate pump. The invention could also feature an alternative version that could be hard wired in place.
