Abstract: During operation of a secondary communication system 100, a device will perform spectrum sensing of certain channels (either by itself or as part of a group of nodes 104). When activity is found on a channel from a primary user, other devices will be notified that the channel is not available for use. The device may then modify its spectrum sensing to assist another device (or group of devices) that have not yet found activity on a different set of channels. Abstract: In a wireless network, a wireless device may dynamically estimate how long it can remain in a sleep mode without missing out on a necessary opportunities to communicate within the network. In some embodiments, this estimate may be based on a combination of things such as the amount of data still queued up for transmission, recent history on data rates, a prediction on how long it will take another device (e.g., an access point) to accumulate enough data for another transmission, and/or how long the queued-up data can wait before it becomes stale.

Abstract: Taught is a mobile phone holder, especially for a mechanical vehicle, having a two-part body with side clamps and provided with a coupling/locking module, which has two step-shaped side clamps (10) on both of its sides. The side clamps are provided with a tooth (14) on their upper arm and are coupled with each other by means of unlocking buttons (3). The clamps are also provided with pins, which engage with the guides and the cams in the body and thus make the clamps move with a translational motion towards the inside of the holder combined with a concurrent rotational motion towards the inside of the holder. In the end phase of this motion the clamps are locked thus also locking the mobile phone in the holder.

Abstract: An antenna, to be connected to a receiving device for receiving broadcast waves in first and second frequency bands, includes a core-wire-side cable for transmitting a signal or an electric power used in the receiving device, and a covered wire for covering a part of the core-wire-side cable from a receiving-device-side end of the core-wire-side cable to a given point before an end that is on the opposite side of the receiving-device-side end so as to shield the core-wire-side cable. The covered wire functions as a first antenna unit for receiving a broadcast wave in the first frequency band, whereas the core-wire-side cable functions as a second antenna unit for receiving a broadcast wave in the second frequency band.

The inlet segment, main body segment and bulkhead are configured so as to facilitate press fit assembly thereof concentric about a rotational axis about which the rotor will be rotated during operation, while also minimizing eccentricities of those components. As a result, the manufacture of the rotor is simplified by the elimination of the need for an internal skeleton structure and associated welds and/or fasteners.
