Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating housing (1) mounting a plurality of terminals (2), a metallic shell (3) surrounding the housing and a pair of retaining devices (4). The shell (3) comprises a pair of opposite sidewalls (31, 32) and a pair of endwalls (33) interconnecting with the side walls, thereby defining a receiving space surrounding the housing. Each endwall (33) defines a pair of locking portions (34,35) respectively on opposite sides and a holding portion (36) on a rear portion. Each retaining device (4) comprises a main body (41) with a nut (40) therein and an extending board (42) extending rearwards from the main body. The locking portions (34, 35) are retained in corresponding channels (411) defined on the retaining devices (3) and the holding portion (36) presses against a rear portion of the extending board (42).

Abstract: An electrical contact assembly includes a first module (21a, 21b, 22) having a first set of electrical contacts, a second module (10) having a second set of electrical contacts, a shape generating module (32, 34, 36), and a clamping arrangement (24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29) for clamping the first, second and shape generating modules together. The shape generating module (32, 34, 36) imparts a desired shape to the second module (10) for urging the second set of electrical contacts toward the first set of electrical contacts, such that clamping the modules together results in a positive contact force between the first and second sets of electrical contacts that is substantially uniform across the sets of electrical contacts. The shape generating module includes a first insulating layer (34), a second insulating layer (32) and a shape producing layer (36) disposed between the first and second insulating layers.

The female power terminals and the female signal terminals are mounted on the female terminal base. Each female power terminal has a terminal contacting portion, a fixing portion, and a pin portion. The terminal contacting portion has an end hole and a clamp slot on one end, and the end hole connects with the clamp slot. The fixing portion is formed by extending the other end of the terminal contacting portion and has at least one borehole. The pin portion is formed by bending and extending one end of the fixing portion which is far away from the terminal contacting portion and has an eye of needle. Based on the above structure, the present invention can improve the yield of products and reduces manufacturing costs.

Abstract: An electronically assisted reverse gate system for a jet propulsion watercraft is provided. Control electronics are in communication with the operator interface of the watercraft to obtain commands from the operator, such as a selection between a forward, reverse or neutral mode, a braking command or a slow mode. The control electronics evaluates the target setting for these commands. This evaluation is made taking into consideration the operating conditions of the watercraft. Control signals are sent to an appropriate actuating device to adjust the gate orientation accordingly.

Abstract: A flushing device that is used to remove salt water and other corrosive agents from the cooling system of an outboard motor. The flushing device includes an earmuff flushing accessory that is attached to the end of an elongate support member and is used to create sealed chambers that surround the end ports of the motor. The elongated member can either be directly coupled to the earmuff flushing accessory or coupled through an elbow extension member to allow for the operation of the device from various positions, including to the side, in front, or from behind the outboard motor. The device is configured so that the flushing liquid flows either directly from the elongated member or through a bent extension member into the earmuff flushing accessory, thereby eliminating the need for various separate components to control the flow of the liquid. The device, therefore, uses a simple design that is both inexpensive to manufacture and effective while eliminating potential sources of failure.
