Abstract: Provided are a circuit board with enhanced moisture resist and the method of manufacturing the circuit board, and a circuit device and a method of manufacturing the circuit device. A circuit board of the present invention includes: a substrate; wirings formed on the main surface of the substrate; a cover layer covering the wirings excluding the regions to be connectors; back electrodes formed on the bottom surface of the substrate; and through-hole electrodes formed so as to penetrate the substrate, and thereby connecting the wirings and the back electrodes. On surfaces of each of the wirings in this circuit board, convex portions on the periphery of the substrate are set larger in width than convex portions in a center portion of the substrate. With this configuration, adhesion reliability between the wirings and the cover layer under a thermal cycle load can be enhanced.

Abstract: A lead-attached electrical element and a mounting board to which the lead-attached electrical element is mounted both contribute to a reduction in the size of the mounting board as well as facilitate rework. The lead-attached electrical element is constituted from an electrical element and two leads. Each lead includes a main portion which is bonded to a respective electrode face of the electrical element, and a bent portion which is inclined with respect to the main portion. The mounting board is constituted from a PC (printed circuit) board and the lead-attached electrical element. Two conductive lands are provided on a surface of the PC board. The lead-attached electrical element has been inserted into an aperture in the PC board, and bent portions of the leads attached to the electrical element are bonded to the conductive lands so that the electrical element is suspended in the aperture by the leads.

Abstract: The present invention provides a circuit board and a method for manufacturing the circuit board, the circuit board and method allowing a further shorter connection distance between electrodes of a semiconductor device, and also allowing a sufficient thickness of a solder pre-coat in a soldering process. The circuit board comprises bonding pads for being connected with bumps of a semiconductor element, which act as connection terminals, the bonding pads being arrayed in parallel lines on a surface of the circuit board, and, on the adjacent parallel lines, the bonding pads being positioned to form a zigzag pattern along the parallel lines longitudinally.

Abstract: A method and structures with an EMI shielding electrically conductive coating are provided for implementing EMI shielding for rigid cards and flexible circuits. An EMI shielding electrically conductive coating is deposited on an outer layer, for example, using a vacuum sputtering deposition, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or physical vapor deposition (PVD) process. A solder mask is applied. Mechanically cleaning removes the sputtered copper coating in areas of the outer layer that are not protected by the solder mask.

Abstract: An electrical outlet box installation in which there is no exposed cover plate, only the operative portion of the electrical component is visible at the wall surface. The operative portion of the component may be an electrical outlet, jack, switch, knob, or light, for example. The body of the electrical component is housed within the outlet box, also referred to as a junction box, with the open side of the outlet box being covered by a plate assembly having an opening that closely surrounds the operative portion of the component. The surface of the plate assembly is covered with wallboard mud, or other wall finishing material, which is blended into the surrounding surface of the wall so that only the operative portion of the component is exposed. The plate assembly includes a projecting wall or lip around the opening, up to which the mud or other fill material is applied.

Abstract: A terminal electrode body on a substrate is exposed relative to a resin layer, protruding out beyond the side of the resin layer. That is, the terminal electrode body is not covered by the resin layer. The electronic element is covered by an insulating layer and the terminal electrode body and the electronic element are electrically connected. Hence, an electric signal applied to the terminal electrode body can be transmitted to the electronic element. A cover layer covers the terminal electrode body and the boundary between the terminal electrode body and the resin layer.

Abstract: A groove, and a recess which communicates with the groove, are formed in a substrate. Next, a through hole which communicates with the groove is formed. Thereafter, a wire is formed on an upper surface of the substrate, and an individual electrode is arranged on a lower surface of the substrate. Further, a droplet of an electroconductive liquid is made to land on the recess, and the liquid is filled in the through hole via the groove. Next, the liquid filled in the groove, the recess, and the through hole is heated to harden. Further, the recess and the groove of the substrate are removed by cutting up to an area near the through hole. Accordingly, it is possible to connect electrically the connecting bodies arranged on both surfaces of the substrate by filling an electroconductive material in the through holes easily.
