In an exemplary solar panel string structure, distributed maximum power point tracking (DMPPT) modules are provided, such as integrated into or retrofitted for each solar panel. The DMPPT modules provide panel level control for startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown, and further provide flexible design and operation for strings of multiple panels. The strings are typically linked in parallel to a combiner box, and then toward and enhanced inverter module, which is typically connected to a power grid. Enhanced inverters are controllable either locally or remotely, wherein system status is readily determined, and operation of one or more sections of the system are readily controlled. The system provides increased operation time, and increased power production and efficiency, over a wide range of operating conditions.

Abstract: Traditionally, system loads are placed in parallel with the battery. This simple topology wastes the available power if the USB power and/or wall adapter is present. Recent topologies have made some improvements by powering the load by the maximum available voltage. Thus, if a USB power source or wall adapter is present, the load is powered by them rather than the battery, thus improving the system efficiency. However, since the USB power and wall adapter power are current limited, if the load requires higher current than the current limited USB or adapter, then the entire system is powered at voltage of the battery. The present invention further improves the system efficiency by distinguishing the load and powering the constant power loads by the maximum voltage and placing the constant current loads in parallel with the battery.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved structure of the magnetic shaft of a cooling fan. A magnetic attraction component is comprised of a magnetic ring, a magnetic inductive bottom board, and a magnetic inductive ring. The magnetic field generated by the magnetic ring is guided from the upper and lower side by the magnetic inductive ring and the magnetic inductive bottom board respectively, so that the range of magnetic field scattered by the magnetic ring is effectively and reliably guided and suppressed. The range of the magnetic field is reduced to the smallest possible, and interference with other components is minimized within the cooling fan, working stability and quality of the cooling fan being enhanced.

Abstract: A motor may include a rotor provided with a rotor shaft, a cylindrical bearing made of resin material and provided with a bearing part for rotatably supporting a shaft end of the rotor shaft, and a bearing holder provided with a through-hole into which the cylindrical bearing is inserted. The cylindrical bearing is slidably held in the through-hole and at least one of a first end face where the bearing part is formed and a second end face which is an opposite end face to the first end face is formed with a ring-shaped groove. Therefore, a wall thickness of resin for forming the bearing can be made thinner and thus shrinkage of the side wall part of the bearing which faces an inner peripheral face of the through-hole of the bearing holder is reduced.

The motor is mounted on a frame and positioned to engage and drive a component within the image forming apparatus. In one embodiment, the component is an imaging unit. The frame includes an opening to receive the motor. A locating member is attached to the frame and extends into the opening to contact the motor and provide accurate positioning for engagement with the component. The locating ring provides for a press fit with lower forces. Additional fasteners may fixedly connect the motor to the frame and maintain the accurate positioning provided by the locating member.

Abstract: A motor includes a stator having first and second armatures to form a rotating magnetic field, an inner rotor having first and second permanent magnets, and an outer rotor arranged between the stator and the inner rotor. The outer rotor has a rotor body which supports first and second induction magnetic poles such that they are embedded therein. A phase of the first induction magnetic pole is matched with a phase of the second induction magnetic pole. The first and second induction magnetic poles are assembled to the rotor body such that they are inserted into linear slits formed in the rotor body in the axis direction. Because the first and second induction magnetic poles are aligned in the axis direction, the outer rotor has a simple structure and an increased strength, and also support and assembling of the first and second induction magnetic poles in the outer rotor are facilitated.

Abstract: The segmented permanent-magnet rotor for high-speed synchronous machines reduces eddy-current losses by axially segmenting the containment sleeve and the permanent magnets. The axial segmentation of the containment sleeve includes forming grooves circumferentially around the outer surface of the containment sleeve. The circumferential grooves disrupt the generation of eddy currents on the outer surface of the containment sleeve and therefore reduce eddy-current losses in the containment sleeve. Axial segmentation of the permanent magnets also disrupts eddy current formation, thereby reducing eddy current losses in the permanent magnets. In addition, the presence of an electrically insulating layer between the containment sleeve and the permanent magnets reduces eddy current migration from the containment sleeve to the permanent magnets, and therefore provides additional reduction of eddy-current losses.
