Abstract: A driver amplifier operative from a single DC voltage supply, coupled directly to the output load without the need for DC coupling capacitors used for preventing DC reaching the output load. An onboard power supply generates a negative voltage rail that powers the output amplifiers, allowing driver amplifier operation from both positive and negative rails. Since the amplifiers can be biased at ground potential (0 volts), no significant DC voltage exists across the load and the need for DC coupling capacitors is eliminated.

Abstract: A method of attachment for jewelry onto the temple arm or arms of a pair of eyeglasses is provided so that the wearer may adorn the eyeglasses in a purely esthetic manner. The eyeglass hanging charm holder may hold one jewelry article that is easily releasable or several at one time. The eyeglass hanging charm holder may be easily removed as it has an adjustable sliding loop that is adaptable to most conventional eyeglass temple stems. Furthermore the eyeglass hanging charm holder may be placed along any length of the temple arms and in any number desired. Once the user identifies the desired location for the eyeglass hanging charm holder it may be secured at that location by the adjustable sliding loop provided with cinching coil, cylinder, or bead. The eyeglass hanging charm holder may have either a releasable clasp or a fixed O ring of attachment method for fixing the decorative charms, ornaments, strands, or jewelry articles.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a multifocal lens having a diffractive optical power region and a progressive optical power region. Embodiments of the present invention provide for the proper alignment and positioning of each of these regions, the amount of optical power provided by each of the regions, the optical design of the progressive optical power region, and the size and shape of each of the regions. The combination of these design parameters allows for an optical design having less unwanted astigmatism and distortion as well as both a wider channel width and a shorter channel length compared to conventional PALs. Embodiments of the present invention may also provide a new, inventive far-intermediate distance zone and may further provide for increased vertical stability of vision within a zone of the lens.
