Abstract: The present invention concerns a footwear structure with improved comfortableness comprising an upper with which a sole is associated, wherein the footwear structure comprises a container comprising a box-type body, containing at least one dehumidifier and/or medicinal material, provided with at least one inlet, and means for shutting and opening said at least one inlet that is kept, in walking phase, in an active position wherein said at least one inlet is accessible and communicating with the inside of the upper. The present invention further concerns the corresponding container.

Abstract: Footwear for running, jogging and/or walking on a sloped surface, such as a roadway or a circular track that is not flat, for example. The footwear includes a left shoe and a right shoe. Each of the left shoe and the right shoe includes an upper member and a sole body, which is formed by one or more sole members, attached thereto. The sole bodies of each shoe are of uniformly varying thickness from the lateral side to the medial side of the shoe. The sole body of the left shoe is of a different average thickness than is the average thickness of the right shoe. The sole bodies and/or the sole members of the shoes may be reversibly connectable, such as to allow flexibility in customizing the shoes to be used on a variety of underlying surfaces, including substantially flat surfaces, for example.

Abstract: An excavating screw unit equipped with a hydraulic excavating auxiliary blades has developed for an auger crane, comprising: an extension unit having auxiliary excavating blade, cylinder mounting hole, built-in fluid passages in extension unit, hydraulic cylinder, piston, and extension guiding rods; an excavation column formed a hollow center of a square-shaped to mount on top of extension unit; an extension rod having an outer square-shape to fit into the excavation column, a built-in hydraulic passages in the extension rod, at top portion of the extension rod, an inlet and outlet that is bent right angle at top portion of the hydraulic passages to connect to hydraulic tubes, the extension rod is sliding to extend or retract through the excavation column. The extended excavating auxiliary blades are maintained by the pressurized fluid to prevent retracting by digging resistance during the excavating. Thus, this mechanized excavating device is easily digging a burial hole for a utility pole and underbracing.

Abstract: A fluid shovel apparatus that pushes and lifts loose material such as snow, leaves, sand, dirt, grass clippings, mulch, or the like. The present invention includes at least one fluid exhaust port extending through a blade. Pressurized fluid is ejected through the at least one fluid exhaust port extending through the blade and ejects towards loose material. The loose material floats on a cushion of pressurized fluid that forms between the blade and the loose material. The loose material is pushed away from the blade and is lifted in an upward direction. Additionally, the fluid shovel apparatus may further include a soft pad and an ice scraper blade to assist in removing material from a surface of a motor vehicle. Additionally, the fluid shovel apparatus may be used to deliver a fire suppressant pressurized fluid upon a material that is burning. Additionally, the fluid shovel apparatus may be used to clear snow from railroad train tracks ahead of a railroad train car.

Abstract: A separated article of laundry is dragged over a plurality of wheels or belts. The wheels or belts adjust the amount of overhang on each side, making an edge of the article more horizontal. A clamp clamps the edge and drags the article of laundry from the wheels or belts. Resistance, such as by a pinch arm, may assist in untangling the article of laundry as the article is dragged. Sensors adjacent the belts or wheels measure a size of the article of laundry. A folder adjusts based on the size. For example, the types of folds to be made, the placement of runners for folding, or the output sorting are adjusted. The folder may operate more efficiently by providing time for the folder to adjust to the size of the article of laundry prior to feeding from the spreader.

For example, one set of plates bears the names of the months of the year (or abbreviations of those names), another set of plates bears numerical dates, and another set of plates bears an indicator of the days of the week. The plates are arranged in a stack, with at least some of the plates covering the symbols on underlying plates. Separate, axially offset hinges enable selected plates to be rotated with respect to other plates, revealing the symbols on the selected plates while the symbols on other plates remain covered. The hinges enable a user to rotate the stack to a position where a selected plate in an upper set of plates is exposed while any overlying plates remain positioned behind a top cover plate and any underlying plates in the upper set of plates remain positioned behind the exposed plate.

The inner pages connect with each other on one side and each has a groove on the connected side. The conductive rubber pieces are inserted in the grooves respectively and one end of each conductive rubber piece extends out of the corresponding groove. The flexible printed circuit board has a plurality of connecting finger conductive portions and a connecting end, the connecting finger conductive portions are inserted in the grooves and contact with the conductive rubber pieces, respectively. The electronic unit electrically connects with the connecting end of the flexible printed circuit board. Based on the above assemblies, the automatic induction device for turning pages, electronic audio books and photo albums has more reliable performance, a simple structure and a low cost.

DC circuitry is in operative electrical connection with the plurality of LEDs. A source of AC electrical power activates the DC circuitry. The plurality of LEDs can be both red color output LEDs and green color output LEDs, or the plurality of LEDs can be bicolor red and green LEDs having the capability of producing both red light and green light. The red light and green light are additively mixed to produce yellow light. In the alternative, the plurality of LEDs can be yellow color output LEDs or the plurality of LEDs can be white color output LEDs.

At least one channel is configured to the front or rear surface of the planar face and positioned substantially behind the opening or window of the primary sign. A secondary sign is releaseably retained within the channel such that at least a portion of the secondary sign is visible through the opening or window in the primary sign.

Abstract: A new display has a base and a post, and also where appropriate, a sleeve. The display is shipped flat in a small container, and a recipient erects the post and then positions the base over it. The post is anchored to the base by adhesive. Should a sleeve be used, this is positioned over the post. The display can now carry products on spears or shelves that are inserted in or through the post. A message may be printed on the post or the sleeve. In repeated campaigns, only the sleeve need be sent out. In this way, a rational and cost-effective solution is obtained, where as much as possible of the material can be re-used. A method of manufacturing the display is also described.

Abstract: A self-righting post assembly includes an elastomeric hinge tube and an elastomeric inner member is disposed in the hinge tube. In one embodiment, an extension post is disposed over the hinge tube. A sign panel can be secured to the extension post. A method of assembling the post assembly is also provided.

Abstract: The invention provides an adhesive-backed sticker for adhering to a mounting surface and forming a pocket for insertion of an object. The sticker can be folded to incorporate one or more pockets within a perimeter of a mounting section and/or extending beyond the perimeter of the mounting section. The sticker may include sticker liners that remain in place throughout use. Apertures may be provided to receive objects and matching apertures may be provided to keep the object stable. Non-adhesive objects can be inserted into the one or more pockets and removed therefrom, as desired.

An adhesive is applied to the inside surface of the tubular portion. The skirt insert is then inserted into the open end of the cap to form a skirt and the non-stick whipping is inserted through the orifice of the cap. The adhesive on the skirt insert and the cap is then cured to form a skirt. After curing the non-stick whipping is removed form the skirt.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method for solidifying solid fossil fuel and a solidified material obtained thereby. The solidified material is prepared by mixing at least one solid fossil fuel with 5-8 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the solid fossil fuel, of a solidifying agent, and 1-4 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the solidifying agent, of aqueous acrylic resin. When this solidifying method is used, a solidified material, which can maintain the durability and high-temperature stability of a solidified material according to the prior furnace process using only coking coal as a raw material and has high heating value, can be prepared using a single solid fossil fuel or mixture thereof, including bituminous coal, anthracite coal and powdery coke.

The method comprises blending a flow of fuel soluble product, a flow of stabilizer, and a flow of water in a mixing vessel to form a mixture. Mixing the mixture in the mixing vessel and recirculating the mixture through the mixing vessel. Lastly, shearing the mixture with a shearing device at a rate of about 27,500 shears per second to about 87,500 shears per second. A method for manufacturing an aqueous fuel emulsion is also disclosed.

Abstract: A system and method for producing synthetic fuels are disclosed in which a slurry comprised of a particulate solid portion and a carrier liquid portion is provided. The solid portion comprises (i) a feedstock of carbon-containing polymeric materials that are substantially free of each of halogen, sulfur and nitrogen atoms, and contain about 5 to about 25 percent by weight water, and (ii) a catalytic amount of metal particles. The carrier liquid portion is a hydrocarbon/oxyhydrocarbon composition. The feedstock constitutes about 10 to about 60 weight percent of the slurry. The slurry is heated anaerobically to provide an elevated temperature of about 250° to about 455° C. and a pressure of about 20 to about 50 atmospheres that are maintained for a time period sufficient to provide a combustible liquid fuel at least 80 percent of which contains about 6 to about 21 carbon atoms per molecule.

Abstract: An additive includes a calcium source, a suspension agent, a castor oil, and optionally a castor supplement/replacement. In many embodiments, polyalphaolefin is included. The preferred suspension agents are fatty acid esters, triglycerides or other, with a pour point/melt point from about 5 degrees C. to about 50 degrees C. Suspension agents of particular interest are: 1) polymerized ester(s) of ricinoleic acid (polymerized ester(s) of 12-Hydroxy Oleic Acid), 2) polymerized ester(s) of 12-Hydroxy Stearic Acid, 3) waxy esters of ricinoleic acid, 4) palm oil, 5) palm-olein, 6) coconut oil, and 7) jojoba oil. The waxy esters may result from polymerization of shorter carboxylic acid monomers. The additive may be used in fuels to improve combustion engine performance in terms of efficiency and emissions. Polyalphaolefin may be important, especially in additive formulations for diesel fuels, for NOx reduction.

Abstract: A method to exploit the glycerin obtained as a by-product of the industrial process to produce biodiesel inside or out of the industrial production unit, providing a reduction in the environmental liability that may be caused by an excess in the production of glycerin that cannot be exploited for industrial use. The referenced method uses recycling of the glycerin obtained through industrial process to produce biodiesel, using a process basically consisting of four stages: a) extracting glycerin produced as a by-product of the industrial process for producing biodiesel; b) hydrogenation of said n-propanol glycerin, c) recycling of the n-propanol thus obtained to be added to a mixture of alcohols; and d) transesterfication of the n-propanol mixture added to the alcohol mixture, together with raw material triglycerides from renewable sources in order to obtain biodiesel.

Abstract: The invention relates to the field of methods used for the transesterification of oils and fats in order to produce diesel oil. The invention provides a novel method for the production of diesel oil by transesterifying fatty acid esters present in vegetable oils and fats, using a novel catalyst consisting of the oxide of a group V metal and having the formula X2O5, such as niobium pentoxide (Nb2O5). Unlike in the methods used traditionally according to the prior art, the oils are converted here into high-purity products, including glycerol, in yields of the order of 100%, while using significantly less catalyst for a quantity of oil processed, when e.g. soya-bean oil, cotton-seed oil and canola oil are processed by the method according to the invention.

Abstract: Exhaust emissions resulting from the combustion of hydrocarbon fuels in compression ignition engines may be reduced using a homopolymer that may be polyisobutylene, polypropylene, and/or hyperbranched polyalpha-olefins. Optionally, an alkyl nitrate such as 2-ethylhexylnitrate (2EHN), and/or a peroxide, such as hydrogen peroxide, may also be used together with the homopolymer. Both NOx and particulate matter emissions (PM) may be reduced using ppm quantities of the additive compositions; alternatively, NOx emissions may be lowered or reduced while PM emissions do not substantially increase.

Augmentive agents may include ethylene vinyl acetate and/or polyethylene vinyl acetate.

Abstract: A fuel additive is provided and includes a mixture of about 0.05 to about 20 percent by weight of a liquid having an aqueous character and about 80 to about 99.95 percent by weight of ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, wherein the mixture had been heated to about 100° to about 200° F., or higher, to remove any ethanol or isopropyl alcohol not intimately bound with the liquid having an aqueous character. The present invention further provides a method of providing a fuel additive. The method includes mixing about 0.05 to about 20 percent by weight of a liquid having an aqueous character with about 80 to about 99.95 percent by weight of ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and heating the mixture to about 100° to about 200° F., or higher, to remove any ethanol or isopropyl alcohol not intimately bound with the liquid having an aqueous character.

Abstract: A system and method of aeroponic farming includes depositing seeds in a flat containing micro-fleece cloth and placing the flat within a growth chamber. The upper side of the flat is subjected to light of the proper frequencies to promote growth in plants. A nutrient solution is sprayed onto the micro-fleece cloth and the developing root mass of the plants, while controlling temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide within the growth chamber. The plants are harvested resulting from the seeds at a desired stage of growth. The growth chambers can be stacked on each other and/or located side by side to save space within a facility, and to permit sharing the subsystems which control the nutrient solution, temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide for the growth chambers.

Abstract: Composition which can be used in particular as odorant for a gaseous fuel, more particularly natural gas, comprising: from 0.1 to 49.9 parts by weight of at least one alkyl sulphide (I) of formula: R1—S—R2 ?in which R1 and R2, which are identical or different, represent: an alkyl radical comprising from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; or R1 and R2, taken with the sulphur atom to which they are attached, represent a saturated or unsaturated ring comprising from 3 to 5 carbon atoms which is optionally substituted by a C1-C4 alkyl or C1-C4 alkenyl radical; from 50 to 99.8 parts by weight of at least two alkyl acrylates (II), the alkyl radicals of which comprise from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, preferably from 1 to 8; from 0.001 to 0.1 part by weight of at least one compound (III) which inhibits the polymerization of the alkyl acrylates (II).

Abstract: Two or more feed materials that possess differing syngas generation potentials are mixed in a mixer and fed as a composite feed stream into a gasifier to produce syngas. By controlling the feed rate of the mixture into the gasifier as well as the feed rates of one or more of the individual feed materials into the mixer, the syngas is produced at a target production rate, with target energy content (BTU). Potential feed materials include, but are not limited to, construction and demolition (C&D) debris, municipal solid waste (MSW), other sewage-related solids, waste tires, and other substances that contain varying levels of organic compounds capable of producing a syngas.

Abstract: A kit containing components which can be assembled into a shutter panel includes a header, a footer, a plurality of brackets, a first stile, a second stile, a plurality of louvers. One embodiment also contains a jig to align the bracket with the header or footer for attachment. Each bracket is sized and configured to be connected to an end of the header or footer. The stiles each have a longitudinal channel which enables the stiles to be fitted over at least one of the brackets. The jig has a mouth sized to receive an end of the footer or header and a cavity adjacent the mouth such that a user of the jig can place one end of a bracket in the cavity and the other end of the header or footer in the mouth. The kit may be packaged in two packs. One pack contains a header, a footer and a plurality of brackets.

Abstract: This device is provided for a luggage compartment designed to be placed overhead. The compartment comprises a mobile part (4) between an open position and a closed position and a mechanism for acting on said mobile part (4) to promote its closing. Said mobile part (4) presents an opening (14) designed for introducing and retrieving luggage as well as a lower exterior surface (12). The control device comprises detection means reacting when pressure is exerted on a predetermined zone of the lower exterior surface (12) of the mobile part (4) as well as for sending a control signal to the mechanism acting on the mobile part (4) to close the part when pressure is exerted on said detection means. The detection means are disposed at the lower exterior surface (12) of the mobile part (4).

Abstract: The invention pertains to a method of motorized movement of a vehicle door, wherein the vehicle door can be moved from an open position to a closed position as part of a closing process, wherein a door drive mechanism associated with the vehicle door and a control system are provided, wherein the vehicle door can be moved in the direction of closing starting from the open position using the door drive mechanism. It is proposed that in a first section of the closing process the vehicle door is moved by the door drive mechanism from the open position to a comfortable open position that lies between the open position and the closed position, and that in a second section of the closing process, the vehicle door is further moved from the comfortable open position in the direction of closing, preferably to the closed position, manually by the user and largely free of the door drive mechanism.

Abstract: The invention relates to an infill which can be inserted into a bollard footing hole. The infill is designed such that it allows a bollard to be fit over it, and the infill fits within a footing hole. Methods of covering a footing hole are also bought.
