Abstract: Helmet mounted lighting apparatus and method of manufacture. May utilize LED light source and battery power unit designed for mounting for example on a fire fighting helmet. May couple with helmet or to an ornamental leather shield typically mounted on the front of a fire fighting helmet. Enables enhanced visual field at night for benefit of the user. Apparatus is made of material suitable for the harsh conditions encountered by fire suppression and emergency personnel and is mounted in such a fashion as to not conflict with the typical physical features of the helmet or shield. The apparatus includes at least one lamp provided at a front side of the casing, a switch part provided remote to or in one side of the casing, a battery or series of batteries provided remotely or in the interior of the casing and optional time-out, power level adjustment, voltage and/or current control circuitry. May be secured using any method.

Said adjustable panels are shaped to shield across the left and right cheeks of the wearer. Such said adjustable panels attach to the left and right support shafts of typical eyewear. The panel may have from a pair to pluralities of fasteners to attach to the shaft of eyewear and fastening mechanisms may be varied.

Abstract: A flexible modesty cover sized to cover an infant and caretaker during breast-feeding is described. In one embodiment, the flexible cover comprises folding patterns to allow the flexible cover to be folded into a compact article, an integral pouch portion of the flexible cover configured to receive a substantial portion of the flexible cover to form the compact article, a flexible member configured to form a portion of the cover into an opening between the caretaker and infant. The opening is configured to allow the caretaker and infant to see each other, while the opening still blocks views of the infant and caretaker's exposed body portions from the general public.

A cuff portion extends from the bottom of the palm portion for covering the user's wrist and forearm. A palm pad, formed of absorbent, foam rubber, is affixed to the front of the palm portion. A number of finger pads, formed of absorbent, foam rubber, are affixed to the respective fronts of the finger portions. A number of knuckle pads, formed of a web-like matrix of fibers, are affixed to the respective backs of the finger portions. An elongated, side-hand pad, formed of a web-like matrix of fibers, is affixed to one side of the body. Abstract: A pair of pants with an adjustable waist including an elastic band extending lengthwise around the interior of the waistband. The elastic band includes notches positioned along its length, and an engaging means (for example, a button), which is attached to the waistband near each end of the elastic band. The engaging means affixes to the elastic band through different notches to adjust the size of the waist in the pants. The pants also have a unique cut, including a shortened transverse distance from the button to the crotch in the front of the pants, and an elongated transverse distance from the crotch to the waistband in the back of the pants.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for matching socks or other substantially identical objects comprises a first sock with a first symbol disposed on it and a second sock with a second symbol disposed on it. The second symbol is non-identical to and associated with the first symbol. The symbols may be associated with each other by comprising a query and response, different representations of the same concept, two parts of a whole, source or origin, and other associations. The apparatus and method assist in matching as well as in teaching desired concepts.

Abstract: Protective goggles have an integrally formed lens, a frame and a strap. The lens has an opening formed on an upper side for engaging with an engaging portion on an upper side of a frame with a soft protective pad, and a protrusion extending upwardly from a middle section of a lower side to be inserted into a hole adjacent to a concave section formed on a lower side of the frame. More than one rib provided on an upper side of the frame for fitting with the lens and for stably propping the lens. A through hole is provided on each end of the frame and has raised portions projected around for passing through a through hole of the lens and a tenon formed adjacently for passing through an aperture of the lens. The lens and the frame are coupled by buckles combined with both end of the strap.

Abstract: A protective goggle assembly has a goggle frame having a rigid goggle body formed on a front side. The goggle body has recesses formed on two sides of a lower end so that a resilient face engaging portion is integrally formed with a rear side of the goggle frame. The resilient face engaging portion includes edges on two sides of a lower end, which edges are formed with a curved shape based on a human face contour. When the goggle frame and the lens are assembled with a strap buckled to the two sides for use, and the resilient face engaging portion on the rear side of the goggle frame is in contact with a user's face and cheekbones, the recesses formed on the two sides of the lower end of the rigid goggle body provide the resilient face engaging portion with a larger space for flexible adjustment.

A first bridging member includes a first coupling portion on each of two ends thereof. A second bridging member includes a second coupling portion on each of two ends thereof. The second coupling sections of the second bridging member are respectively and releasably coupled with the other two of the upper and lower coupling sections of the bodies. A fixed spacing between the bodies is provided by the first and second bridging members.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device for reducing friction, caused due to contact or rubbing of the rear portion of a foot heel with the inner portion of footwear. The device is composed of a thin, smooth, and flexible material with a low coefficient of friction. The material of the device is molded into different shapes and sizes to fit different portions of a shoe of any shape and size. The device may be attached temporarily or embedded permanently to the inner heel portion of the shoes, or socks of the user. The device may also be used in any article of clothing or protective covering to reduce the effects of friction. Disclosed herein are various methods of attaching or affixing the device to the inner heel portion of the shoes, socks, and any other article of clothing or protective covering. Also, disclosed is a method to hold the device in place without using any kind of adhesive material on the device itself.

Abstract: A thermally protective coveralls style suit having a plurality of separate water trapping regions between the suit and a user. The suit has a front slide fastener from crotch to neck with water entry retarding arm closures at the wrists and leg closures at ankles or thighs forming water trapping regions, leaving hands and feet free for swimming. Upper and lower chest straps cooperate forming water trapping regions by blocking pocket or water exchange between upper and lower torso regions. Permissive water entry at wrists, ankles or thighs, and neck or face, without circulation or exchange to surrounding water, allows separate pockets or thin film layers of water in the upper, lower, and central torso regions to insulate the body somewhat like a wetsuit where a single film provides insulation. An optional hood is provided to form another pocket or thin film layer without water circulation. Floatation pads assist buoyancy. A jacket embodiment is truncated at the lower chest strap.

The vest also incorporates a carrying handle and reinforcement webbing to increase the stiffness of the vest. The vest includes a back brace or back support belt which is allowed to move relative to the vest to keep the support brace in a proper position on the user's lower back while still allowing adequate freedom of movement.

Abstract: This invention refers to a disposable feminine micturating device that allows women to micturate standing up without having to sit on the toilet. The device is anatomic, flexible and ergonomic, consequently it adapts to the anatomy of the user and includes a main body which because of its size can be carried in the purse and which adapts to the woman's vagina. The device must be used standing up, and it has a handle and a pelvic stop and an anal stop. The device includes a flange on the edge of the main body onto which the second disposable part is attached by the elastic area. The second part is shaped like a funnel, being the urine conduit, that empties into the toilet or a container to which it has been attached using the adhesive included in the straight part of the conduit.

Abstract: The invention presents a reversible (two sided) toilet seat with a sanitary system. The toilet seat, placed on top of a washing chamber, has two sides and, in the lifted position, can be rotated to allow use and washing of each side. The washing chamber is equipped with washing nozzles supplying washing fluid and a dryer/blower supplying drying air. After each use, the seat can be is lifted, rotated and placed back with the washed surface in seating position on the washing chamber and the used surface in the washing position. The lifting apparatus may be operated manually, by foot or power operated. In the reversed position, the washed side is ready to be used and the underside can be washed. Drying/blowing apparatus supplies air, preferably heated, to dry the washed surface. Optionally, the system may be equipped with additional sanitizing devices (germicidal, ultraviolet lamps, lasers, microwave device, supersonic Generator or other type), to provide seating surface sanitizing.

Abstract: A food waste disposer mounting assembly uses a stainless steel sink-flange with a screw-on collar system as a primary mounting system to a sink. By connecting the stainless steel sink-flange with a bayonet locking reed collar and screw-on nut collar, a vibration and sound transmission path to the sink is both reduced and rendered indirect. Incorporation of reed switches with a stopper and magnets can modify the unit for use as a batch-feed disposer.

Linkage mechanisms move the sections between the raised and lowered positions. A pair of independently suspended drive wheels mounted centrally of the frame is controllable so that each may each rotate independently in clockwise or counterclockwise sense so that the cart may be maneuvered in confined spaces with a zero turning radius.
