Abstract: An apparatus for pneumatic cleaning of diesel particulate filters (DPF). First and second nozzle members direct flows of compressed air into the axially-extending filter cells from both ends of the filter, the nozzle members generally being offset so as to avoid blowing directly towards one another. The flows form the nozzles impinge only relatively small areas of the end faces of the filter media, e.g., only one or a few cells at a time. The nozzle members are moved over substantially the entirety of the first and second end faces, so that as cleaning progresses compressed air is directed into substantially all of the filter cells from opposite directions. The nozzles may be translated on reciprocated arms while the filter is rotated simultaneously on a turntable or rollers, so that the nozzles sweep over the whole surface of each end; other mechanisms, such as various combinations of gears or pistons, may be used for relative movement between the nozzles and filters.

Abstract: Behind a front panel of an air purifier are formed guide paths on the right and left sides thereof. A space between the front panel and a filter unit is partitioned by a partition plate into a front panel rear space and a filter unit front space. Part of an airflow that has entered the guide path through an air intake enters the filter unit front space, and the other part thereof enters the front panel rear space. When entering the front panel rear space, the airflow takes a sharp turn at a sharp turn corner. As a result, coarse dust is separated from the airflow, and the separated coarse dust falls into a dust box.

Engine conditions such as fuel rate, exhaust gas recirculation, and fuel injection timing are determined. Based on empirical evidence or theoretical calculations, or both, particulate production markers, each indicating a level of particulate production, are assigned to each engine condition. The markers are combined and the combined marker is used to interpolate between a minimum and a maximum level of particulate production from the engine to estimate a particulate production rate. The production rate may be combined with an oxidation rate to determine a particulate accumulation rate, which may in turn be combined with a particulate load estimate to produce a combined particulate load estimate. Abstract: A hydraulic control device of construction machinery having a main merging/diverging valve interposed in a connecting oil path connecting discharge oil paths of first and second hydraulic pumps in a merging position, operating levers for corresponding works operated to actuate plural actuators, an operating condition judging section judging a lever operating condition of each operation lever, a pattern collating section selecting an operating pattern matching an actual operation pattern from set and stored various operation patterns corresponding the operating conditions in a controller. When a load pressure of each actuator is high, a discharge pressure of each discharge oil path is also high, and when a total of the discharge pressures exceeds a predetermined set pressure, the main merging/diverging valve is switched to a diverging position, and when the total of the discharge pressures drops to below the set pressure, the main merging/diverging valve is switched to the merging position.

Abstract: The objective of the present invention is to provide a device that accurately communicates a subtle variation of an operation side to an action side. Specifically, in the present invention, an operating device is provided to perform a lock release operation of an extension device. The operating device feeds oil to a valve chamber by pressing a piston. When the flow rate of the fed oil is excessive, the valve is pressed to an opening resisting a biasing force of a compressed spring, thereby a rapid increase in the oil supplied to the action section is suppressed. Further, the supplied oil is suppressed to a very small amount by the throttle section, thereby an increase in the operation amount on the action section side is suppressed while maintaining the supply of the oil.

Abstract: A high-temperature side power piston (37) and a low-temperature side power piston (39), respectively demarcating a high-temperature space (45) and a low-temperature space (47), brings about volumetric changes of working gases in each of the high-temperature space (45) and the low-temperature space (47). At the same time, the power pistons are configured to transmit motive energy on receipt of pressure changes of working gases. A displacer (203) movably housed in a displacer cylinder (201) transfers the working gases between the high-temperature space (45) and the low-temperature space (47) without causing a pressure difference.

Abstract: The present invention is a High Efficient Integrated Heat Engine, or HEIHE for short. HEIHE is a reciprocal combustion engine integrated with both compound cycle and combined cycle. HEIHE comprises twin compound cylinder structure, with the first cylinder being the primary combustion and/or expansion cylinder; the second cylinder being the secondary combustion and/or expansion cylinder. Power strokes driven by expansions of different working fluids such as air-fuel combustion products, steam and compressed air, are integrated into one engine block. Twin cylinder structure provides compound expansions of three (3) different fluids as to recover the energies that would be lost with the exhaust fluids or during braking. All of these make HEIHE work around six (6) periods with twelve (12) operation strokes. Among six (6) working periods involved, four (4) periods contain four (4) different power strokes but only one of the power strokes consumes the fuel.
