  • Patent number: 7517070
Abstract: A package is formed including an ink tank in a bag. A cap is attached to an ink supply port of the ink tank. In the cap including an adsorption material made of zeolite, the adsorption material is arranged in a position in the cap where the adsorption material does not interfere with the ink tank when the cap is attached to the ink tank. By this arrangement, it is possible to adsorb ammonia gas issuing from the ink tank and hold down the amount of ammonia gas that reacts with electrodes of the substrate on the ink tank. Zeolite adsorbs and releases ammonia gas and does not adsorb ammonia gas limitlessly; therefore, it is possible to prevent notable changes in the composition of components of the ink stored.

  • Patent number: 7517079
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes upstream and downstream transport rollers for transporting a recording paper sheet. The upstream transport roller is disposed on the upstream side of a recording head while the downstream transport roller is disposed on the downstream side of the recording head. When forming an image on the first half area of the recording sheet, the upstream transport roller rotates and is responsible for transporting the recording sheet. When forming an image on the second half area of the recording sheet, the downstream transport roller rotates and is responsible for transporting the sheet. This structure provides printing without margins at the leading and trailing edges of the sheet. By adjusting the gap sizes between rollers in each of the upstream and the downstream rollers, the transport speed of the sheet is maintained constant so that high-quality print image can be obtained without uneven density in an image.

As a result, there can be obtained a surface light source having high brightness and uniformity in an arbitrary size whether the light source is small or large while using semiconductor light emitting devices (LEDs), and an electrically illuminated signboard using the surface light source, which is thin and capable of uniform display and which operates with low electricity consumption.

Abstract: A modular flashlight assembly is provided that includes an integrated interface to facilitate mounting of the flashlight to a variety of different equipment. The flashlight mounting system includes a pattern of engagement surfaces on an exterior surface of the flashlight housing and a mounting bracket. The mounting bracket is configured to be mounted onto the desired substrate and includes clamping members that releasably engage the engagement surfaces on the flashlight housing. In this manner, the engagement surfaces on the flashlight housing provide a surface by which the flashlight can be clamped without the need for a band that extends entirely around the barrel of the flashlight. Further, by releasably clamping the flashlight into a modular system, the flashlight can easily mounted onto any variety of different modular interface systems such as the interface rail that is integrated onto modern type firearms.

Abstract: A flashlight has a lamp assembly with a number of operating states including an off state and a number of different brightness level output states The flashlight has an elongated housing with opposed forward and rear ends. The housing has a body portion extending to the rear end, and a head portion rotatably attached to the body portion and extending to the forward end. The lamp operating state is based on the rotational position of the head portion with respect to the body. The body portion and head portion may be cylindrical elements of a common diameter. The head portion may include an electronic component having a rotatable input that is engaged by an element on the body portion. The flashlight may include a removable end portion opposite the head portion, with a support facility operable to support the housing, such that a user does not need to contact the housing.
