Publication number: 20090173215Abstract: A music application guides a user with some musical experience through the steps of creating and editing a musical enhancement file that enhances and plays in synchronicity with an audio signal of an original artist's recorded performance. This enables others, perhaps with lesser musical ability than the original artist, to play-along with the original artist by following melodic, chordal, rhythmic, and verbal prompts. The music application accounts for differences in the timing of the performance from a standard tempo by guiding the user through the process of creating a tempo map for the performance and by associating the tempo map with MIDI information of the enhancement file. Enhancements may contain MIDI information, audio signal information, and/or video signal information which may be played back in synchronicity with the recorded performance to provide an aural and visual aid to others playing-along who may have less musical experience.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 13, 2009Publication date: July 9, 2009Applicant: Family Systems, Ltd.Inventors: Brian Reynolds, William B. Publication number: 20090173219Abstract: A support structure comprises as image formers, weapons and sighting systems. An image former system is completely practicable by individuals of short stature or limited mobility, especially those in wheelchairs. Ordinary telescope optics and extremely rigid and simplified mechanical structural system allow the imagers incident optical axis to move through 3-dimensional space while the eyepiece image moves in one plane. Elevational rotation of the imager about the eyepiece allows the observer to view 360 degree in elevation without eye movement. A main tube tangential to the objective and parallel to the incident optical axis concentrically receives optical supports which retain the optics. The optical elements may be installed, removed, replaced and cleaned realignment of the optics. The optical support design receives reflective or refractive optics of varying focal lengths; the objective support accommodates cameras without focal adapters. Publication number: 20090173223Abstract: A fluid pressure-type actuator is stably operable for a longer period of time than that of a conventional actuator. The actuator 1 is formed with a non-rubber bag body 5 covered with a covering body 2 that is expandable and contractable. The bag body 5 is constructed so that both a longitudinal dimension and an outer diameter thereof when inflated to the maximum extent are larger than an inner longitudinal dimension and inner diameter of the covering body 2 when the covering body 2 is expanded to the maximum extent. The covering body 2 is constructed so as to have a constricting force against a pressing force caused by inflating the bag body 5 when the covering body 2 is expanded to the maximum extent. If fluid is supplied to the actuator 1, because the bag body 5 is restrained with the covering body 2 before inflated to the maximum extent, an explosion of the bag body 5 is prevented.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2006Publication date: July 9, 2009Applicant: SQUSE INC.,Inventors: Tatuwo Kudawara, Mikio Shimizu, Yasunori Ichikawa

Publication number: 20090173231Abstract: A carbon canister with a valve activated by the weight of nearly saturated or saturated carbon communicates with piping from an underground tank. The invention includes carbon within a casing inside a canister, a weight actuated valve, and piping in communication with the atmosphere. When an ORVR vehicle refuels, the pressure lowers in the tank that draws air into the canister. After refueling, the tank remains subject to conditions that generate hydrocarbon vapors. Those vapors then return to the canister and adhere to the surface of the carbon. The carbon, heavier with hydrocarbons, lowers the canister and closes the weight actuated valve. Closing the valve returns pressure control to an external pressure vacuum relief valve. The next refueling draws in atmospheric air to purge the hydrocarbons in the canister and thus lighten it. A secondary purge valve also removes hydrocarbons from the canister. Once the carbon lightens, the inlet valve opens and the vapors return to the canister for adsorption.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2009Publication date: July 9, 2009Inventors: Timothy Schroeder, Darrell Vilmer, Arthur C. Projections of the leading edge of a to-be-clamped plate are co-operable with the first feed slants and projections of the trailing edge of a to-be-clamped plate are co-operable with the second feed slants such that the leading edge of the to-be-clamped plate is clampable in a self-centering manner between the clamping piece and a leading channel wall of the lock-up channel and the trailing edge of the to-be-clamped plate is clampable in a self-centering manner between the clamping piece and a trailing channel wall of the lock-up channel.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2008Publication date: July 9, 2009Applicant: Manroland AGInventors: Xaver BACHMEIR, Eduard Hoffmann, Thomas Kandlbinder, Norbert Dylla

Publication number: 20090173250Abstract: A system is disclosed for defeating enemy missiles and rockets, particularly rocket propelled grenades (RPG's). The first step is to identify the firing of a missile by the use of sensors that give the approximate distance and bearing of the incoming missile. A non-lethal cloud of pellets is then launched from the target, which can be a building or vehicle or the like, in the general direction of the missile. The pellets are housed in a series of warhead containers mounted at locations on the target in various orientations. The warheads are triggered to fire a low velocity cloud of pellets toward the incoming missile. The pellets then collide with the missile a certain distance away from the target causing premature detonation of the missile, and/or possible severe damage to the missile, and/or deflection of the missile, due to the relatively high velocity of the missile.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2008Publication date: July 9, 2009Applicant: MECHANICAL SOLUTIONS INC.Inventors: William Donnelly Marscher, William Joseph Kelly, Paul James Guthrie, Joseph John DeLorenzo, George DeMassi
