Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and kit-of-parts for treating keratinous fibres prior to dyeing to control and modulate dye uptake into the fibre. Organic solvents having log P of from ?4.0 to ?0.5 or from 0.5 to 4.0 are used to manufacture pre-treatment composition to be applied to the hair. When the hair is pre-treated with at least one organic solvent having a log P of from 0.5 to 4.0 the dye penetration into the keratinous fibres is enhanced, while pre-treating the hair with at least one organic solvent having a log P of from ?4.0 to ?0.5 reduces the dye uptake. One or more compositions to pre-treat the keratinous fibres can be effortlessly applied on different zones of the hair and can be left in place or removed prior the application of the dyeing composition.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a novel dye composition for the dyeing and/or lightening of keratin materials, such dye comprising a hemicyanin styryl chromophore thiol or disulfide dye of formula (I) or (II): the organic or mineral acid salts thereof, optical isomers and geometric isomers thereof, and the solvates thereof such as hydrates. The present disclosure further relates to a dyeing process with a lightening effect on keratin materials, in particular keratin fibers, including human keratin fibers such as the hair, using said composition. This composition makes it possible to obtain a coloring with a lightening effect which is particularly resistant and visible on dark keratin fibers.

Abstract: Cleaning apparatus has a matrix of brush assemblies (10) mounted on a support member (11) such that they are movable both in rotation (x) and in an axial direction (y). The brush assemblies comprise a cleaning brush (15) axially moveable within a gear wheel (22) and rotatable therewith during normal use. Each gear wheel meshes with an adjacent gear wheel to ensure that rotation of one brush causes rotation of the rest of the brushes in the matrix. When any given brush is retracted fully in an axial direction it is disconnected from its respective gear wheel such that it does not rotate therewith and is effectively removed from the drive chain.

Abstract: A brush structure and a bristle structure thereof are disclosed. The brush structure comprises a brush body and a bristle structure. The bristle structure is set up on the brush body and includes a plurality of bristles. Each bristle has a cleaning structure set up at the free end of the bristle. The cleaning structure comprises a plurality of cleaning units. Each cleaning unit has a near end and a far end relative to the position of the brush body, and the diameter of the near end is larger than the diameter of the far end. A circular fillister is formed between each two neighboring cleaning units. Hence, the bristle structure is able to scrape and take away the crud from the surface of a cleaned object easily. It is also easy to wash the jammed crud out of the circular fillisters. Moreover, the average cross-section area of the cleaning units is smaller than that of the other part of the bristle, and thereby the free end of the bristle is soft and not easily harm the surface of the cleaned object.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for removing wires from a bale includes a conveyor system for moving one or more bales and a de-wiring station positioned adjacent the conveyor system. The de-wiring station includes a robot with an end tool. A bale that is bound by one or more wires is transferred by the conveyor system to a position proximate the de-wiring station. The robot with end tool moves to sense the location of the wires, cut the wires, collect the wires and deposit the wires in a collection hopper.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing a door trim assembly in which resin-made door trim parts are automatically fixed to a resin-made door trim main body; and a manufacturing line therefore. Resin-made door trim parts and transformable members associated therewith are tentatively fitted to a resin-made door trim main body. In transforming processing unit (3) of manufacturing line, electrically operated cylinder (10) equipped with ultrasonic oscillator (2) extends and contracts in the direction of upper limit and is ratable within horizontal plane by means of ball screw mechanism (12). To the transformable members tentatively fitting resin-made door trim parts to resin-made door trim main body, the ultrasonic oscillator (2) comes close in opposite relationship by driving of the electrically operated cylinder (10) and ball screw mechanism (12), and performs ultrasonic irradiation.

Abstract: In a method for the connection of objects by means of at least one plasticizable hollow cylindrical rivet peg which can be heated by application of a process element which is provided, at its process side to be placed onto the hollow cylindrical rivet peg, with a spigot which can be introduced into the hollow space of the rivet peg and with an annular cut-out surrounding it, a rivet head is formed at the rivet peg by application and follow-up movement of the process element and the process element is subsequently removed from the formed rivet head. In this respect, a spreading effect directed from the inside to the outside is exerted onto the rivet peg generally transversely to the follow-up movement direction during the follow-up movement of the process element by its spigot entering into the hollow space of the rivet peg and the rivet peg is beaded over in the doughy state to form the rivet heat. A corresponding apparatus for the connection of objects is also set forth.

Abstract: Methods of lapping rows of recording heads are described after an air bearing surface (ABS) damascene process is performed. The ABS damascene process uses a selective etching process to form voids in the row of recording heads where conductive material forms a feature in the recording head, such as a wrap around shield. The conductive material is then deposited on the ABS of the row to fill the voids, and the row is lapped. According to methods provided herein, the resistance of one or more lapping guides in the row of recording heads is monitored to determine when the conductive material is removed by the lapping process. When the monitored resistance indicates that the conductive material is removed, the lapping process is stopped. The resistance across one or more lapping guides may also be used to control the lapping process to uniformly lap the conductive material from the ABS.

Suction states of electronic components held by suction by suction nozzles are detected by a line sensor unit. When the detection result shows that there is an improper electronic component, the improper electronic component is disposed of, and after the disposal a component recognition camera takes images of electronic components judged proper as a result of the detection and a recognition processing device performs a recognition process. When the recognition result shows that there is an improper electronic component, the improper electronic component is disposed of, and after the disposal only electronic components judged proper as a result of the recognition are mounted on a printed board.
