Abstract: A crosslapper receives a card web and folds it into a lap intended to be needle-punched or consolidated by other means. The web comprises zones which are more condensed, having a spectrum of orientation of fibres with a component parallel to the width of the web, alternating with less condensed zones having a longitudinal unidirectional spectrum of orientations. The zones which are less condensed are used to form the edge zones of the lap. The result is that the lap has different respective spectra of orientation which pre-compensate for the unwanted changes produced by the needle-punching or other consolidation which follows. A needle-punched lap is obtained having a uniform MD/CD ratio (relationship between longitudinal and respectively transverse tensile strengths) or having a sought profile of the MD/CD ratio across the width of the lap.

The rivet body contains a cavity (7) in the form of a bore in a sleeve section (22). As with other gun rivets, the gun rivet is shot with a percussive-type action and with the aid of its rivet tip into an opening in two sheets (13, 14) that are to be joined together, until the collar comes to rest on the upper face of the upper sheet. A tensile bolt is then introduced into the cavity and is connected to the base (8) of the latter. This can be achieved by resistance welding. The tensile bolt is then drawn until a rivet head is formed on the opposite side of the two sheets. The tensile bolt is then detached from the gun rivet, for example by shearing. The tensile bolt can be re-used to place another rivet.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a tubular-shaped component (19) for an aeronautical fuselage made of composite materials comprising an outer skin (1) without joints having a cylindrical or cylindrical-conical shape, a plurality of stiffeners or stringers (2) longitudinally arranged in said outer skin (1) and a plurality of anchoring elements (3) for anchoring other elements to subsequently be incorporated transversally arranged between said stiffeners or stringers (2). The invention also comprises a jig (18) comprising a support body (12) and a plurality of panels (9) that can shift between an extended position (10) and a retracted position (10?) in both directions and a process for manufacturing said component (19) in the last step of which once the tubular component (19) is formed and cured, it is separated from the jig (18) by means of a longitudinal movement after the shifting of those elements of the jig (18) preventing it, and particularly the panels (9) that can be shifted.

Abstract: A method for mounting a seat including weight sensors on a motorcar frame. The method includes the rigid connection to the motorcar frame of a number of weight sensors, each of which rests on a flat resting area of the motorcar frame and is rigidly connected to the motorcar frame by a number of bolts fastened in threaded holes obtained through the motorcar frame itself. The motorcar frame is completed by leaving the resting areas rough, and after completing the construction of the motorcar frame, each rough resting area is subjected to precision machining by a machine tool, which includes a flattening by milling and subsequently a drilling and a threading to make the holes.

Abstract: A quick change knife blade assembly, for use in conjunction with a tape roll dispensing cartridge assembly of a case sealing machine, comprises a knife blade mounted upon a knife blade mounting plate. A pin plate is fixedly connected to mounting pins passing through the knife blade, and springs are interposed between the pin plate and the mounting plate so as to normally bias the pin plate to a position at which the mounting pins prevent the removal of the knife blade from the mounting plate. When the pin plate is depressed against the biasing forces of the springs, the mounting pins are moved so as to permit the knife blade to be removed from the mounting plate.
