Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for adjusting the steering wheel of a motor vehicle. The aim of the invention is to enable an automatic adjustment of the steering wheel in the steering clearance center by ‘stabilizing’ or carrying out a steering hysteresis measurement, and the subsequent adjustment of the steering wheel, in a simple, rapid and cost-effective manner. To this end, the invention relates to a method for adjusting the steering wheel of a motor vehicle in the steering wheel clearance center, the method being characterized by the following steps: the floating plates of the vehicle geometry test bed, on which the front wheels of the motor vehicle are arranged, are rotated when the wheels are stopped in order to cause the rotation of steering wheel; the steering wheel angle is determined according to the triggered steering wheel movement; and the steering wheel clearance center is adjusted.

A low friction sliding position indicator includes a compliant element that forces its connection pads against the ruler's electronic scale contacts, to determining measurement positions. The position indicator includes an instrument receiving feature that engages a writing instrument and moves in conjunction with it, thereby measuring a line as it is drawn. A position indicator preload arrangement includes the compliant element, which is deflected to exert a preload that forces the sliding position indicator against a housing of the digital ruler. Alignment features of the position indicator and housing have cross sections that provide a self-aligning angled interference fit, which accurately aligns the sliding position indicator, under the action of the preload force. Misalignment constraint surfaces constrain the sliding position indicator in approximate alignment by, even if an external force overcomes the preload force.

Abstract: Tactical firearm systems and methods of manufacturing tactical firearm systems are discussed herein. In some embodiments, a tactical weapons platform can comprise a forend assembly adapted to house a portion of a barrel; a receiver assembly detachably coupled to the forend assembly and adapted to interface with a bolt action; and a butt stock assembly detachably coupled to the receiver assembly. In other embodiments, a modular stock assembly for a bolt action rifle can generally comprise a forend assembly, a receiver assembly, and a butt stock assembly. The forend assembly can have a body adapted to house a barrel in a free floating configuration, wherein the body surrounds at least a portion of the length of the barrel. The receiver assembly can be detachably coupled to the forend assembly and adapted to directly interface with a bolt action without bedding. The butt stock assembly can be detachably coupled the receiver assembly by a hinge.

Abstract: The present invention is a device for supporting the weight of a gun, in a vertical orientation, with the barrel end of the gun facing the ground. The device comprises a platform large enough to fully engage the barrel end of a rifle or shotgun, and an outer lip fully encompassing the platform to prevent the gun barrel from slipping off the platform edge. In addition, the device has a clip for engaging an ankle strap, which secures the device to the exterior of the wearer's footwear and ankle. With the present invention, a sportsman may safely place the weight of a rifle or shotgun to his or her foot without sacrificing ready access to the weapon.

Abstract: A sight mount for a firearm includes a base, and a rearwardly extending mounting portion for supporting a removable secondary optic mount. The base includes dovetail rails for securing the base to a firearm, and a mount position for accepting an electronic optic. The rearwardly extending mounting portion has transverse slots which follow the 1913 Picatinny specifications. The base serves as a mount point for up to two optics, the primary and secondary optics. The primary optic being a non magnified electronic optic and the secondary optic such either a night vision device or magnifier. The extended mounting position utilizes a small, light weight ring or other apparatus as is appropriate to hold onto the secondary optic. By using one base for both optics weight is reduced and the secondary optic when remove provides a stream lined package.

Abstract: An artificial fishing lure includes a base assembly, a spring-biased hook assembly, a movable hook-setting post, a fixed retention member, and a pivoted actuation lever. The base assembly has spaced apart leading and trailing ends. The hook assembly is carried by the base assembly, and is adapted for sudden movement from a loaded condition to a released condition. The hook assembly has a proximal end and a pointed distal end adapted for piercing a fish. The hook-setting post is located adjacent the leading end of the base assembly, and is adapted for temporarily engaging the proximal end of the hook assembly in the loaded condition. The fixed retention member is located adjacent the trailing end of said base assembly, and is adapted for cooperating with the hook-setting post to temporarily hold the hook assembly in the loaded condition. The actuation lever is connected to the hook-setting post, and is adapted for moving the hook-setting post away from the hook assembly when actuated.
