Publication number: 20100006057Abstract: According to the present invention, a variable compression ratio machine having main bearings mounted in an eccentric carrier or support includes an oil seal located primarily in a main bearing cap for minimizing leakage of pressurized main bearing oil. The seal is located generally in a first main bearing fastener socket or fastener access cutout in order to minimize structurally compromising the bearing cap, and a portion of the fastener socket preferably is used as an oil passageway as well as for wrench access to the fastener. The oil seal and oil circuit of the present invention enable the size of the eccentric support to be minimized while also providing highly effective oil sealing. In more detail, a significant advantage of the present invention is that highly effective oil sealing is attained without compromising the size or structural integrity of the bearing cap. A second significant advantage of the present invention is that it can be manufactured and assembled at low cost.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2007Publication date: January 14, 2010Inventor: Edward Charles Mendler

Publication number: 20100006073Abstract: Most of the cars in today's market give a maximum of 30 to 40 miles per gallon and hybrid cars giving upto 50 miles per gallon. The efficiency of Internal Combustion Engines used for this purpose is very low, about 25%. The heat generated during the combustion of fuel is converted into work to drive the car is wasted to the atmosphere, as anti-freeze(Ethylene Glycol) is used to cool the engine and circulated through a radiator which transfers the heat to the atmosphere. The heat generated by combustion of fuel such as gasoline or diesel is converted into the work because of the pressure created by the combustion process. In this invention, the heat is recovered by pre-heating/pressurizing the fresh air used for the process of combustion. The temperature of the pre-heated fresh air used for combustion is increased to above 1400 degrees Fahrenheit by passing through a heat exchanger to recover heat from combustible gases. Fresh air for combustion is heated to about 1400 degrees Fahrenheit.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 10, 2008Publication date: January 14, 2010Inventor: Jayant Jatkar

Publication number: 20100006093Abstract: The invention relates to a dual wall cylindrical container comprising a gas distribution source in the lower portion thereof. The cylindrical container is positioned at the lower portion of a frame and comprises at its upper portion two suction sources for potentially pollutant gases. The first source has the highest gas charge and extends from the space defined by the dual wall of the cylinder and is connected to an active-carbon dynamic extraction system. The second source, which is located at an upper level and is charged with residual gases, extends from the gap between the upper edge of the open cylinder and the frame, and is connected to a global network for discharging and processing the charged air. A third suction source extends from two horizontal work planes provided with sieves for suction from the top to the bottom. This last residual gas suction source is also connected to the global network for discharging and processing the charged air.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 1, 2007Publication date: January 14, 2010Applicant: EQUIPEMENT VETERINAIRE MINERVEInventors: Sebastien Sannie, Vincent Sannie

Publication number: 20100006094Abstract: An inhaler includes an inhaler body having an ejection head and an airflow duct forming member for forming an airflow duct on the inhaler body. In an inhalation standby status, the airflow duct forming member is driven to slide so as to be placed at rest on the inhaler body to partly cover the top part of the latter by means of a slide mechanism and make the airflow duct disappear. At this time, the top wall of the airflow duct forming member covers the ejection head to shield it from external air. In an inhalation status, the airflow duct forming member is driven to slide up and produce an airflow duct on the inhaler body. Thus, a compact inhaler that can be switched from an inhalation status to an inhalation standby status and vice versa with ease is realized.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2009Publication date: January 14, 2010Applicant: CANON KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Satoshi Tsuchiya, Toshiyuki Nobutani, Hiroyuki Wada, Masaru Sugita, Masaya Kobayashi, Takahiro Sugiyama

Publication number: 20100006095Abstract: The application describes apparatus and methods for delivering a powdered medicament for inhalation. The medicament is put in a receptacle (100) on a vibration generator (80) operated by fluid pressure, e.g. by means of an eccentric rotor. A flow of gas from a supply (20) is passed into the receptacle (100), producing in concert with the vibration an aerosol which passes out of the receptacle and along a tube (110) to be inhaled by the patient. Both the gas flow supply and vibration may be subject to the operation of a control unit (60), which may time the production of the aerosol according to a patient's breathing cycle, e.g. as part of a ventilator system.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 16, 2006Publication date: January 14, 2010Applicant: BRITANNIA PHARMACEUTICALS LIMITEDInventors: Derek Alan Woodcock, Chritopher Pynn, James Thompson

Publication number: 20100006100Abstract: The invention concerns a gel covering of a patient interface. This gel covering has a mask connection area by which its side that faces away from the patient is joined with a mask body. The patient interface can be designed, for example, as a respiratory mask. On its side that faces the patient's face, the respiratory mask has thin, inwardly formed, peripheral contact lips. The respiratory mask has accessories that allow it to be fastened on the patient's head as well as a hose connection for supplying air. At least one region formed from a filler is placed in or on the walls of the gel covering. The method is used to produce the gel covering of the invention.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 4, 2009Publication date: January 14, 2010Inventors: Martin Eifler, Martin Bechtel, Arnold Frerichs, Matthias Pulla, Henry Hahn, Joachim Gardein
