Publication number: 20100140261Abstract: A microwave oven is capable of preventing a door that can be opened from a left side or a right side thereof from being simultaneously opened from both sides thereof. The microwave oven includes a body, a door, and a change device. The door is coupled with the body. The change device allows the door to be opened from both sides thereof. The change device includes a pair of holders, a pair of sliders, and at least one lever. The holders rotate as the door is opened from both sides thereof. The sliders linearly move in cooperation of the holders. The at least one lever restricts the linear movement of the sliders when the door is opened from one side thereof, thereby preventing the door from being open from a remaining side.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2009Publication date: June 10, 2010Applicant: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventor: Gong Soo Kim

Publication number: 20100140262Abstract: A method of manufacturing a plurality of secondary containment panels and assembling and installing the panels in a secondary containment system of an above-ground liquid storage tank or other retention facility includes forming a plurality of flexible substrate pieces. A liquid impermeable coating is applied to the upper surface of each piece such that an edge segment of the piece remains uncoated. The coating is applied to the substrate piece in an indoor enclosure. The coated pieces are delivered to the site of the tank and extended across the ground adjacent to the tank. At least a pair of the pieces are juxtaposed relative to one another such that a first one of the pieces overlaps the uncoated segment of the second piece to form a seam. An adhesive substance is then applied to the seam to fasten the first and second pieces together.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2008Publication date: June 10, 2010Inventor: Michael Whitener

Publication number: 20100140263Abstract: A collapsible portable tank for storing liquids has a liquid impervious liner. The side walls of the liner are supported by a collapsible frame. A plurality of hand grips in a zigzag pattern on the floor panel of the liner facilitates manipulation of the liner to collapse the liner with the frame. The liner floor panel is of heavier material than the side walls and is heat sealed along its entire perimeter to the liner side walls, affording a more durable floor while eliminating clumsy excess liner material at the corners of the tank. Another hand grip on the floor panel opposite a drain in the liner side walls facilitates evacuation of stored liquid from the tank prior to collapsing the tank.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2008Publication date: June 10, 2010Inventor: Jay V. Publication number: 20100140264Abstract: A rupture disc for use in a pressure relief system includes a dome having a concave and a convex side and a circumferential flange associated therewith. At least one control score is formed or otherwise produced in the dome at a radial position between an apex of the dome and an outer circumference of the dome. At least one of a depth, a width, a length and the radial portion of the at least one control score is selectively controlled so that the depth, width, length, and/or radial position of the at least one control score controls the pressure at which the dome will start to collapse.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 10, 2008Publication date: June 10, 2010Applicant: CONTINENTAL DISC CORPORATIONInventor: Gabriel Hernandez

Publication number: 20100140265Abstract: The invention relates to a container that can be filled with fluid and closed pressure-tight and from which fluid can be removed, having an insert that can be fixed in an opening of the container while sealing the same. The insert has a high-pressure CO2 cartridge (14), a pressure regulating valve for dispensing CO2 therefrom, and an actuator accessible from outside, the actuation of which taps the high-pressure CO2 cartridge (14). An overpressure safeguard provides, upon undesired increases in pressure in the container, a flow path from the head space thereof through the insert to the atmosphere. The overpressure safeguard is designed as a burst safeguard. It bursts after an internal pressure is exceeded at which the container visibly crowns, but before reaching an internal pressure at which the container explodes.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 6, 2008Publication date: June 10, 2010Inventors: Kurt Oberhofer, Timm Oberhofer

Publication number: 20100140266Abstract: In an embodiment of the present invention there is provided a closure for attachment to a container. The closure includes a base having an orifice and a skirt depending from the base. A lid is provided and is joined to the base through an integral hinge. The lid has a plug depending from an underside section of the lid. The plug is preferably sized to fit within the orifice when the lid is closed. The closure further includes rails projecting upwardly from a top portion of the base and rails projecting downwardly from the underside section of the lid. The rails further include at least one bead projecting (radially inwardly from each of the first rails) and (radially outwardly from each of the second rails). The beads are positioned to interfere with each other to form a snap fit when the lid is closed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2008Publication date: June 10, 2010Applicant: PORTOLA PACKAGING, INC.Inventors: Richard Lohrman, Mike Xiaoli Ma

Publication number: 20100140267Abstract: Disclosed is a product container that includes, inter alia, a cover portion, a base portion, a hinge section and a hang tab. The hinge section joins the cover portion with the base portion and allows the cover portion to articulate between an open position and a closed position. The cover portion and the base portion are adapted and configured to engage about their periphery and form a product storage compartment when the container is closed. The hang tab projects from the base portion of the product container and enables the closed clamshell container to be suspended from a hook in a retail store. The hang tab is integrally formed, at least in part, from material that is scavenged from the hinge section of the container. In certain constructions, the container is tamper-evident/resistant and the hinge section includes a frangible strip for facilitating separation of the cover portion from the base portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2008Publication date: June 10, 2010Inventors: Robert Sellari, Peter Boback

Publication number: 20100140270Abstract: A container includes a sealing system coupled to an interior surface of the container's lid or cover. The sealing system includes a rotatable latch that, when rotated, cooperates with a number of gears to and a cam assembly formed in the lid to actuate a number of arms or links. In one embodiment, some of the arms extend approximately radially from a driven gear and operate to move an engagement member of the sealing assembly into contact with a complementary engagement member coupled to a base portion of the container. This engagement, in turn, compresses a seal or gasket located between the lid portion and the base portion of the container.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 8, 2008Publication date: June 10, 2010Applicant: Environmental Container Systems, Inc. d/b/a ECS CompositesInventor: Dennis M.
