Abstract: Disclosed is a refrigerator having a noise reduction structure. According to the refrigerator, a branch pipe for reducing the intensive noise occurring from an impeller part is provided to a discharge pipe connected so that the refrigerant is discharged in a direction of a condenser from the impeller part. Therefore, the traveling sound wave of the noise traveling along the discharge pipe and the reverse sound wave traveling toward the branch pipe provided to the outer periphery of the discharge pipe meet each other, so that the both sound waves are cancelled to reduce the noise.

Abstract: A heat storage device that includes a first heat storage material and a second heat storage material, both of which accumulate heat by heat exchange with a heat afferent medium, and a changeover device that selectively either performs or intercepts heat storage by the second heat storage material. Accordingly, if the absorption of heat by the first heat storage material has decreased, the changeover device changes flow of the second heat storage material so that heat may be extracted from the heat afferent medium by the second heat storage medium. Thus, when the heat afferent medium is a refrigerant, it is possible to supercool the refrigerant thereof. Furthermore, since heat is extracted from the heat afferent medium and is accumulated, accordingly it is possible to anticipate effective utilization thereof.

This task is solved by a method and device, in which at least one work piece is arranged in at least one die and deformed by means of an explosive to be ignited, in which the explosive is ignited by means of induction.

Abstract: Through the invention, an ignition device for explosive forming of work pieces in a forming die, which has an ignition mechanism and an ignition tube, and in which the ignition tube guides the explosion ignited by the ignition mechanism into the work piece inserted in the forming die, is to be improved, in that it permits, in practice, an arrangement of the ignition mechanism and forming die that is easier to handle and geared toward the occurring explosion forces. This task is solved by an ignition device, in which a curved guide is provided between the ignition mechanism and the forming die.

Abstract: A hole 30 is formed in the center of the rear end face 20 of a round billet 10. The hole 30 has a predetermined depth from the rear end face 20 and a plurality of grooves 31 are provided in the side surface thereof. Each groove 31 extends in the depth direction of the hole 30. Piercing and rolling of the round billet 10 having the hole 30 is performed using a piercing mill having a plug. During piercing and rolling, the bottom surface of the hole 30 is broken through by the plug and a protrusion which is to be the starting point of burrs is formed, and the protrusion is absorbed by the groove 31 as the plug advances. Consequently, formation of burrs at the rear end of a hollow shell after piercing-rolling thereof can be suppressed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a profile-rolling machine for rolling a profile in a blank, wherein the profile-rolling machine has a first and a second profile-rolling jaw. The second profile-rolling jaw (126) is guided—held by a carriage (124)—in a guide track (130) relative to the first profile-rolling jaw (110) for the purpose of rolling the profile into the blank. The carriage (124) has a carriage slide plate (122) and the guide track (130) has a guide slide plate (132). The two slide plates together form a sliding pairing and slide on each other. In order to render said sliding pairing less susceptible to dirty lubricant and less susceptible to wear, it is proposed according to the invention to manufacture the guide slide plate (132) and/or the carriage slide plate (122) at least partially from ceramic or from a non-metallic material or to coat the same with such materials.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for hot rolling and for heat treatment of a strip (1) of steel. To make it possible to produce high-strength and very high-strength strips having satisfactory toughnesses more economically in a continuous production plant, the process provides the steps: a) heating of the slab to be rolled; b) rolling of the slab to the desired strip thickness; c) cooling of the strip (1), with the strip (1) having a temperature above ambient temperature (T0) after cooling; d) rolling up of the strip (1) to produce a coil (2); e) rolling off of the strip (1) from the coil (2); f) heating of the strip (1); g) cooling of the strip (1) and h) transport of the strip (1) to a further destination, with the strip (1) having a temperature above ambient temperature (T0) before heating as per step T).

Abstract: An analysis system and method including a combined purge and trap (P&T) concentrator and P&T autosampler (generally, together, “the P&T system”) in conjunction with a gas chromatograph may be under control of a microprocessor that may control the various valve operations, syringe operations, cleaning operations, sample acquisition, and the like. The system includes automatic controls to clean the various components of the system such as valves and pathways, etc., using methanol, perhaps combined other cleaning techniques, between samples so that any residual contaminates remaining in a part of the system from one sample are minimized from affecting the results of an analysis of a subsequent sample. The automated methanol rinse greatly improves accuracy of sample analysis from one sample to the next.
