Abstract: A protective face mask includes an eye-protecting shield made essentially from a plastics material. The eye-protecting shield is dimensioned to cover at least the eye portions of a human wearer. The eye-protecting shield has a perimeter defining a first surface facing the wearer's face, and a second surface facing away from the wearer's face. An adhesive forms an adhesive strip attached to the first surface of the eye-protecting shield for providing a substantially watertight and releasable sealing engagement between at least a portion of the perimeter forming an upper edge of the face mask and at least a portion of the skin of the wearer's face.

Abstract: The present invention is an adjustable magnetic channel closure for a salon cape. The channel closure has a reinforced tab located at or near each of the ends of the channel. Each reinforced tab has a pair of magnetic components that grip the channel when the reinforced tab is bent. The channel closure is tightened by pulling a gripping component located at each end of the channel closure. A cord located at the top of the channel prevents the reinforced tabs and magnetic components from sliding off the channel when the gripping components are pulled.

Abstract: To solve the problem of repeated laundry of a person's clothing when a fed or burped child spits up after eating because the burp cloth has shifted and no longer protects the wearer's clothing. This protective cloth rests comfortably on the wearer's shoulder and uniquely attaches to the wearer's clothing providing a larger coverage area which does not slip off the shoulder with use.

Abstract: A flushing valve suitable for reducing water wastage from a cistern of a toilet is described. The flushing valve comprising an inlet valve, an outlet valve and a timer valve. The timer valve is mechanically connected to both the inlet valve and the outlet valve so as to control their movement between an open and a closed position such that the timer valve prevents both the inlet valve and the outlet valve from simultaneously being in their open positions. By preventing the inlet valve and the outlet valve from simultaneously being in their open positions results in the fact that the flushing valve does not allow the cistern to start to refill until after the flush process is complete. This results in a significant reduction in the volume of water passing through the cistern during each flushing cycle.
