Abstract: A product is sold at retail in an unusable state. Activation of the product does not require any steps be taken by the retail seller. To activate the product, the purchaser uses a phone or personal computer to interact with a registration server for this type of product. Alter the consumer has provided sufficient identifying information, the registration server interacts with a qualification server that determines whether the purchaser meets the qualifications set for this type of product. For a weapon sale, this is typically a criminal background check. If qualified, the registration server receives an indication of qualification from the qualification server. The registration server and product communicate over a network to establish trust, store information in the product, and then activate the product. • Patent number: 7849625
Abstract: A lock for a gun barrel has plugs insertable into the chamber and muzzle. The plugs impinge against existing stops on the barrel so as to limit travel of the plugs toward each other in the barrel. Once the plugs are in the barrel, a linkage connects them so that each stop prevents removal of the opposite plug from the barrel. Preferably the stops, such as the chamber diameter reduction and the muzzle choke seat, are inside the barrel and the length of each plug is coordinated with the distance to its in-barrel stop so that no part of the gun barrel lock is exposed to out-of-bore tampering. A lock prevents unauthorized disengagement of the linkage from the plugs. The gun barrel lock is of adjustable length and the plugs may have interchangeable diameter adapters to accommodate a variety of gun barrel lengths and calibers.

Abstract: Adjustable shoulder stock apparatus for use with firearms are described. An example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus for use with firearms includes a shoulder stock into which a connecting piece of the firearm is to be inserted. The connecting piece defines a plurality of boreholes. Additionally, the example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus includes a bolt having a end to be inserted in one of the plurality of boreholes to secure the shoulder stock relative to the connecting piece. Further the example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus includes a lever that defines a recess that is open toward a top of the firearm and is closed toward a bottom of the firearm. An opposite end of the bolt is positioned in the recess and coupled to the lever. The lever is to remove the bolt from the one of the plurality of boreholes. The lever comprises a projection to engage a wall of the shoulder stock to prevent movement of the lever past the wall.

Abstract: A plurality of sliding doors 3 arranged side by side to close an opening of a frame 1. The sliding doors 3 are flush with each other. A rotatable link 50 is disposed in an upper edge portion of an opening section 2x. The rotatable link 50 has a short rail portion 51 formed at a distal end thereof. A roller 15 is disposed in an upper edge portion of the sliding door 3. The roller 15 rides on the rail portion 51. When the sliding door 3 moves from a closed position to an opening preparation position in a front or rear direction, the rotatable link 50 rotates from a first rotation position to a second rotation position, thereby positioning the rail portion 51 coaxial with a fixed rail 39. The sliding door 3 is provided with a rail member 11. The rail member 11 of the sliding door 3 in the closed position is coaxial with the fixed rail 39. The roller 15 of the sliding door 3 moving to an open position runs on the rail member 11 of the sliding door 3 in the closed position and the fixed rail 39.
