Abstract: A paper sheet processing system has a paper sheet processing apparatus and a paper sheet bundle wrapping apparatus. The paper sheet processing apparatus sends category information of a bundle of 100 paper sheets to the paper sheet bundle wrapping apparatus when discharging the bundle of 100 paper sheets. The paper sheet bundle wrapping apparatus classifies and accumulates the bundle of 100 paper sheets based on the category information when receiving the bundle of 100 paper sheets. The paper sheet bundle wrapping apparatus bands ten bundles of 100 paper sheets as a bundle of 1000 paper sheets. Since the paper sheet bundle wrapping apparatus receives the bundle of 100 paper sheets of different category from the paper sheet processing apparatus and accumulates the bundle of 100 paper sheets for every category to form the bundle of 1000 paper sheets, the usage rate of the paper sheet bundle wrapping apparatus becomes high.

Abstract: An open port is provided on an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder bore of the reservoir apparatus and the port is exposed to the exterior of the reservoir apparatus. A hollow portion is formed concentrically with the port on a reservoir body. An annular thin portion is formed between the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder bore and the hollow portion surrounding the port in a radial direction. The thin portion is outwardly deflected and deformed by being pushed outwardly in a radial direction centering on the port in a range narrower than the inner diameter of the hollow portion. Thus, the opening of the port is outwardly sunk from the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder bore thereby to form a curved surface at a root portion of the thin portion on the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder bore.

Abstract: Two turbochargers are arranged vertically near a one side of a crank-shaft direction at a one-side face of an engine body so that the large-size turbocharger is located above the small-sized turbocharger, and an exhaust-gas purification device is arranged an open space made on the other side of the crank-shaft direction so that its exhaust inlet is located above and its outlet is located below. Accordingly, the turbochargers and the exhaust-gas purification device can be arranged compactly and the layout of some devices around the engine can be facilitated.

Abstract: A gravity driven hydraulic engine that includes an outer shell having first and second ends and an inner cavity that is substantially impervious to water. The engine further includes at least one cylinder, having opposing first and second ends, located within the inner cavity. The engine also includes a weighted piston within the cylinder which divides the cylinder into first and second chambers. The weighted piston is slidably movable within the cylinder. In use, the first and second chambers alternately fill with liquid and air causing movement of the engine thereby generating energy output.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for increasing the steam mass flow of a high-pressure steam turbine of a steam power plant, particularly a steam power plant including reheating, during a start-up phase of the steam power plant, particularly also during an idle period of the steam power plant, wherein at least one electric consumer is connected upstream of a generator of the steam power plant before synchronization with a power supply grid. The invention further relates to a steam power plant, comprising a generator, a high-pressure steam turbine, and at least one electric consumer, which can also be connected during a start-up phase of the steam power plant, particularly also during an idle period of the steam power plant, in order to increase a steam mass flow of the high-pressure steam turbine before a synchronization process of the generator with a power supply grid.

Abstract: In a gas turbine that generates rotational power by supplying fuel to compressed air compressed by a compressor and burning the fuel in a combustor and supplying resultant combustion gas to a turbine, a circumferential distance starting from a leading edge of a turbine first stage nozzle toward a trailing edge side of the first stage nozzle and ending at center of transition pieces of such combustors that are adjacent in a circumferential direction is set relative to a circumferential pitch of such first stage nozzles within a range of 0.05?S/P?0.15, and an axial distance between a leading edge of the first stage nozzle and a transition piece rear end of the combustor is set relative to the circumferential pitch of the first stage nozzles within a range of 0.00?L/P?0.13. By improving the relative position of a transition piece of the combustor and the first stage nozzle, both suppression of inner pressure fluctuations of the combustor and enhancement in aerodynamic efficiency can be achieved.

Abstract: A combustor for a gas turbine engine and related method is provided in which a plurality of combustor cans are selectively adapted with corresponding resonators. The resonators may, for example, be attached to every can in the consecutive arrangement of combustor cans, every other can, every third can or the like, and may be tuned to the same or first, second, third, etc. frequencies of operation. Such selective tuning is configured to suppress one or more of out-of-phase and in-phase dynamic interaction of streams discharged from adjacent combustor cans by changing the frequencies of pressure oscillation instabilities across the arrangement of consecutive cans.
