Abstract: An encapsulated particle comprises a core particle and a polyurethane layer disposed about the core particle. The core particle can be various particles, such as fertilizer, biocides, flame retardants, seeds, etc. The polyurethane layer comprises the reaction product of an isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive component. The isocyanate-reactive component comprises a graft polyol having a continuous phase and polymeric particles. A method of forming the encapsulated particle comprises the steps of providing the core particle, applying the isocyanate and isocyanate-reactive components to the core particle, and reacting the isocyanate and isocyanate-reactive components to form the polyurethane layer. The encapsulated particle has excellent physical properties, such as increased water repellency, resiliency and shelf life.

The present invention provides a process for preparation of a long-acting selenium fertilizer, including: mixing a selenium rich carbonaceous siliceous rock powder having 30-95% of nano particles relative to total volume and a selenium content of 500 ?g/g or more with a liquid having pH of 8.0-10.0. The liquid having pH of 8.0-10.0 is obtained by mixing KOH, K2CO3 and 20% ammonia in a weight ratio of 10:1:2, and then adjusting pH with water.

Abstract: A cold-rolling train has a plurality of rolling stands and a strip feeding device to which an initial setpoint speed is sent to feed the cold strip to the first stand at an initial actual speed corresponding to the initial setpoint speed. A first setpoint speed is sent to the first stand so that associated rolls rotate. Between the first and next passed-through rolling stand is a thickness detection device detecting a first actual thickness. A base output signal is determined using the first actual and setpoint thicknesses and is used to adjust the first setpoint speed, but not the initial setpoint speed, conforming the first actual to the first setpoint thickness. Between the feeding device and the first rolling stand is an initial thickness detection device detecting an initial actual thickness. The initial setpoint speed is adjusted by a initial feed-forward controller to adjusted a setpoint product mass flow.

Abstract: A strip is fed a rolling stand of a multi-stand rolling mill with a known inlet thickness and exits with a strip thickness. Measurement parameters are determined that are characteristic of the inlet-side and outlet-side strip velocities. With the measurement parameters, the inlet-side and outlet-side strip velocities are determined with respect to the rolling stand. With the inlet thickness, the inlet-side and outlet-side strip velocities, the strip thickness is determined with respect to the rolling stand. Taking into account the determined strip thickness, further measures are taken. The measurement parameter for the inlet-side velocity is the roller peripheral velocity directly prior to the rolling stand. Alternatively or in addition, the measurement parameter for the outlet-side velocity is the roller peripheral velocity. The peripheral precession of the strip is modeled.

Abstract: A method monitoring crimping of a fitting onto a hose, or the like, includes monitoring fluid pressure for carrying out the crimp at discrete diameters of the crimp, during the crimp, and analyzing crimp data reflecting the fluid pressure with respect to the diameters of the crimp during the crimp to determine if the fluid pressure is above a minimum pressure at particular diameters during the crimp, below a maximum pressure during the particular diameters during the crimp, and/or varies significantly from earlier crimps, to determine if the crimp is acceptable. A system for monitoring crimping of a fitting onto a hose end or the like might include a pressure sensor deployed in conjunction with a crimper to measure fluid pressure employed by the crimper during the crimp, a die diameter monitor and, a controller operatively connected to the crimper and sensors.

Differential-speed rolling is performed as the asymmetric rolling, and a winder temporarily winds a metal strip with a collapsed plate shape by traverse winding (loose winding which allows the metal strip is wound in a zigzag manner: S2). Then, the skin pass rolling is performed, and orderly winding is performed in a coil form (S4). As shown in the flow of rolling, tandem rolling may be performed by arranging two or more rolling mills side by side so that the asymmetric rolling and the skin pass rolling are continuously performed without the traverse winding (S2) in the mid course.
