Abstract: The present subject matter relates to check valve apparatuses and methods. In particular, the present subject matter relates to a flow control device that can be incorporated into a check valve. The flow control device can include a valve seat configured for positioning within an inlet of a check valve, the valve seat defining an opening, a plurality of flow routing vanes at least partially traversing the opening, and a disk movable between a first position and a second position in response to a fluid pressure. When the disk is in the first position, the disk blocks the opening of the valve seat, and when the disk is in the second position, the opening is substantially unobstructed. The flow routing vanes can function to smooth the flow of fluid into the valve, thereby reducing pressure drop, noise, erosion, corrosion, vibration, and cavitations.

Abstract: The current invention is a device for controlling, or regulating, fluid pressure from a source of unregulated fluid pressure. Without being bound by theory, the invention controls output fluid pressure by balancing the pressures and/or forces placed upon a shuttle that is located in a chamber; the chamber having an inlet for fluid of an unregulated fluid pressure and an outlet for dispensing fluid with a controlled, or regulated, fluid pressure. The invention controls the fluid communication between the chamber inlet and outlet through a valve; with the valve inlet being located on or in the shuttle. As a result one unique aspect of the invention is that, unlike conventional fluid controllers and regulators, the invention does not require a diaphragm to control fluid pressures as the invention utilizes the various forces on, and resultant movements with relation to the chamber of, the shuttle to control the output fluid pressure.

Abstract: A rubber or plastic fuel pipe, which can be used for motor vehicles and ships, comprises a nano or sub-nano Far Infrared Ray (FIR) and anion carrier. The structures of the carrier are made up of nano or sub-nano tourmaline powders instead of non-nanoized tourmaline granules. The carrier can the whole body, interior wall, or exterior wall of the pipe. The carrier can also be paste set on the inner or outer wall surface of the pipe. The nano or sub-nano FIR anion carrier can facilitate sufficient combustion by breaking fuel molecular group into pieces. This carrier can achieve a far infrared emission rate up to 96% from ˜85% by non-nanoized tourmaline materials. As a result, the novel pipe can save extra maximum 12% fuels. The percentage of toxic gas in the exhaust will be correspondingly reduced.

Abstract: A center of gravity (G1) of a second exhaust pipe (12) is located on the side of an axis (J1) connecting two associated support members (16, 17) that is distal to a ball joint (15). Thus, creating a moment that applies a load (F1) to a ball joint (15) that presses the ball joint (15) up toward the vehicle body. In turn, by locating a center of gravity (G2) of a third exhaust pipe (13) on the side of an axis (J2) connecting two associated support members (19, 20) that is proximal to the ball joint (15) the weight of the third exhaust pipe (13) creates a moment which that applies a load (F2) to the ball joint (15) that presses the ball joint (15) down away from the vehicle body. Consequently, the load (F1) and the load (F2) of approximately the same magnitude act in opposite directions.

Abstract: An air sampling tube is provided that provides superior air flow, strength, and manufacturability and couples to an air sampling sensor housing. The sidewall of the tubular section has an axially extending groove. To facilitate installation and inspection, an air sampling tube is provided with a starter cap. An end cap prevents air flow through the distal end of the tube. An air sampling tube is provided that assures proper axial positioning of tubular section apertures through resort to a coupler with a rotationally asymmetric joining element. A modular kit is provided that allows for custom installation without resort to cutting or forming operations in the field.

Abstract: The present invention provides for a spring compactor machine to compact springs, comprising: a force applied at an angle substantially between 35 degrees and 155 degrees to an at rest spring's restoring force axis with an equal and opposite restraining force applied substantially between 215 and 325 degrees to the spring's restoring force axis. Wherein when both the applied force and the restraining force substantially exceed the plastic limit of the spring, the spring is deformed and the restoring force of the spring no longer returns the spring to its original shape. In a preferred aspect of the present invention, the forces are applied to the spring inside at least one compaction chamber. In a preferred aspect of the present invention, prior to compaction of the spring all non-metal material attached to the spring or a set of springs is removed.
