Abstract: The pill counter of the present invention, counts pills by measuring the weight of individual or a small number of pills as they gradually drop onto a weight scale. During the time between each pill drop, the count is obtained by comparing the weight of latest pills dropped to the expected weight ranges of one or more pills. The expected weight range includes pill weight variation and weight scale error. When the measured weight is between two expected ranges, there is at least one broken pill in addition to the whole pill count of the lower expected range. The counter adds the count of each pill drop to obtain the total count of the pills. In different approach, whenever there is a change in the reading of weight scale more than the error of the weight scale or a predetermined value, the count of pills is increased by one.

The weighing belt is constructed to transport materials to be weighed along the X-direction while weighing. The weighing belt receives the materials from a supply device arranged in an upstream inlet area, including a supply belt or supply rollers for supporting the materials and not forming a preload for the weighing cell. Two weighing-guide elements extending in the X-direction and forming a preload provide lateral support of the materials in the Y-direction to weigh the materials during the transport on the weighing belt in the leaning position. The minimum Y-distance between the weighing-guide elements is greater than the maximum extent of the materials in the Y-direction.

Abstract: A rotary internal combustion engine having multiple intermeshing rotors. Six radial lobes and six radial voids on the uniform rotors intermesh to form sealed volumes that are then compressed as the rotors rotate. The sealed volume is compressed into bevel chambers formed between the intermeshing rotors, and fuel injectors are positioned to inject fuel when the volume is under maximum compression and to maximize combustion. The combustion products are then exhausted as the rotors continue to rotate. An external supercharger compresses air prior to its introduction into the engine to increase the compression ratio. The supercharger also communicates pressurized air into the radial voids after exhaustion to purge any remaining combustion products.
