Abstract: A device connector producing method includes a primary molding step of forming a primary molded body (20) formed with pilot holes (24), a terminal press-fitting step of press-fitting intermediate terminals (11) into the pilot holes (24) to form an intermediate product (40), and an insert molding step of setting the intermediate product (40) in a secondary molding die (50) and forming a device connector. The primary molded body (20) includes a resin inflow opening (21) that enables resin from a gate (52) to flow through the primary molded body (20) during secondary molding, and a supporting projection (23) to contact an inner surface of the secondary molding die (50). Thus, resin flow during secondary molding is good and the intermediate product (40) will not displace.

Abstract: Removal of a conventional separable insulated connector from an electric power system often results in a shortened electric cable. An extender for a separable insulated connector enables the separable insulated connector to connect to a shortened cable. A conventional cable adapter is inserted into the extender, which includes a conductive connector for accepting the shortened cable and a conductive rod for carrying electric power from the shortened cable to the separable insulated connector. The extender also includes an inner semi-conductive layer that borders the conductive rod and compression connector, an outer semi-conductive layer, and a insulating layer between the two semi-conductive layers. The extender is inserted into a separable insulated connector, which is then connected to the electric power system.

Abstract: A first wiring board, which is a flexible printed-circuit board, is bonded to a second wiring board. A plurality of protruding member are formed on the surface of the second wiring board. An adhesive is deposited on the surface of the second wiring board such that there is a thinner layer of the adhesive on the protruding member than in other areas. Subsequently, the first wiring board is placed on the second wiring board so that a portion of the first wiring board to be used for the wire-bonding is positioned above at least one of the protruding members. The first wiring board gets bonded to the second wiring board due to the adhesive.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a liquid ejecting head that ejects a liquid supplied from a liquid storing member through a liquid supply path. The method includes positioning a filter to a first or second supply member by using positioning pins upon disposing the filter between first and second liquid supply paths. The first supply member has the first liquid supply path. The second supply member has the second liquid supply path on the side of one surface of the first supply member to communicate with the first liquid supply path. At least the first supply member and the second supply member are integrated such that a fixed portion is molded by injecting a resin material from an injection portion of a mold at a position where the first and second liquid supply paths are interposed between the positioning pins.

Abstract: A process for producing a pulley for a belt drive CVT, including subjecting tapered surfaces of a preform of at least one of input and output pulleys to surface hardening, subjecting the surface-hardened tapered surfaces of the preform to hard turning to form microgrooves radially spaced from one another thereon, between which microprojections are formed, and reducing a height of the microprojections. Alternatively, a process for producing a pulley for a belt drive CVT, including subjecting tapered surfaces of a preform of at least one of input and output pulleys to surface hardening, subjecting the surface-hardened tapered surfaces of the preform to shot peening, and subjecting the shot-peened tapered surfaces of the preform to finishing to form microgrooves having a substantially equal pitch thereon.

Abstract: A shaft is held in place within a bore of a housing with a band of resilient material that is located between the shaft and the housing and has a series of projections extending radially inwards. The shaft surface has a first part that lies closer to the longitudinal axis of the bore than a second part, when the shaft and housing are assembled. The shaft is initially inserted into the resilient band, which is held within the bore, such that the first part of the shaft surface is oriented towards one of the projections of the resilient band. In this orientation of the shaft, the projection is not compressed. By orienting the second part of the shaft surface, the projection is brought under compression and the shaft is held firmly within the bore.

Abstract: The invention relates to a sheet metal plate, especially made of steel, for producing motor vehicle body components. In order to make the body component sufficiently rigid at highly stressed points in spite of using lightweight materials, the sheet metal plate (11) is provided with local reinforcement zones (13, 14). To this avail, the sheet metal plate (11) is joined together from at least two cut metal sheets (7, 9) with a straight seam (10). At least one of the cut metal sheets (7) comprises several parallel strips (2 to 6) having different strengths while each local reinforcement zone (13, 14) lies within a reinforced strip (2, 3).

Abstract: A pole saw head which comprises a cheek plate having an integral downwardly curved arm and an integral upwardly rope setting auxiliary notched hook strategically positioned on an end of the arm. The notched hook will hold a loop of a length of rope tied in a monkey's fist knot thereto. A mechanism is for coupling the cheek plate to a top end of a pole. When the pole is manually manipulated by a person grasping the pole the notched hook can release the loop on the monkey's fist knot, so that the monkey's fist knot will appropriately uncoil when the rope is tossed over a branch of a tree.

Abstract: The present invention is an attachable rolling plate assembly which can be attached as a single unit to a portable cutting tool to facilitate the safe rolling movement of the portable cutting tool on the workpiece. The invention comprises a frame assembly formed from a single piece of molded material such as fiber enriched plastic having a pair of oppositely disposed longitudinal sidewalls with stabilizer fins extending therefrom, and a flat base portion having a pair of parallel stabilizer tubes molded therein. The invention further includes an adjustable bevel gear assembly by which the angle of orientation of the cutting blade can be quickly changed. The invention also includes a cutting guide assembly to facilitate a straight cut, reduce torsional rotation of the saw blade and reduce kickback of the saw.

Abstract: The Chappell Universal Square™ solves the problems associated with standard framing squares and provides a dynamic framing square bearing novel indicia and a novel arrangement of same for direct application to framing members during construction of complicated framing systems of equal and/or unequal pitched members. Typically, squares are limited to use with a single base unit of measurement, e.g. inches or millimeters, and provide limited tabulated information for use in calculating lengths, distances, and angles at which to cut framing members. Abstract: A device that provides an accurate means to mark a wall surface to aid in hanging a suspended object is herein disclosed, comprising an adhesive strip with small sealed plastic bubbles filled with dye or ink on a first side. At least one (1) ink bubble is positioned thereat a corresponding mounting aperture portions of the suspended object. The ink bubbles rupture under a small amount of applied pressure, thereby marking the wall surface. A second side of the marking device comprises adhesive, thereby allowing the device to be applied thereto the back surface of the suspended object to be hung on a wall, specifically locating where the mounting hardware needs to be installed. The marking device is then removed and the suspended object is secured by driving fasteners and other supporting hardware, using the indicating ink mark. Alternatively, the first side comprises identifying markings such as measurements, instructions, or advertising indicia.

The apparatus can provide illumination as well as be configured to reach into small, various shaped, and otherwise not easy to reach locations.

Abstract: A snowboard boot incorporating techniques for making the process of tightening and loosening the laces of a snowboard boot more convenient for the wearer is disclosed. The snowboard boot may be provided with at least two independent lacing zones, the tensions of which are separately adjustable by the wearer. The zones may be secured by pulling on two laces, each of which tightens one of the two independent lacing zones. This arrangement allows the wearer to simultaneously tighten each zone, providing the wearer with the “feel” as though he or she is tightening a conventional single lacing zone snowboard boot. The laces may be simultaneously, yet independently secured by a lace lock at the upper and/or forward region of the snowboard boot. Slack may be created to facilitate loosening of the snowboard boot and easy removal of a foot from the snowboard boot by unhooking the lace from the lace guide without a corresponding distance of lace traveling through the lace lock.

The fold-over thermal laminate is a piece of thermally resistant material on the outer surface of the footwear upper that extends over a portion of the rim and into the inside of the upper. Abstract: A snow melter that may be used to melt snow. The snow melter includes a dump tank for receiving a quantity of snow to be melted. The melter also includes a melt tank and a heat exchanger. The melt tank separate from the dump tank. The heat exchanger heats the water in the melt tank. Water heated by the melt tank is allowed to flow from the melt tank into the dump tank to melt the snow in the dump tank. Doors may also be added to the dump tank to facilitate the removal of debris from the dump tank after use. Further, the dump tank may also have an inclinable floor to further facilitate the removal of debris from the dump tank after use.

Abstract: The invention includes a bag or receptacle for securely containing stray buttons and for attaching to a garment at a location of repair to identify where a button is to be reattached or replaced. In one embodiment, such a button bag is sized and shaped like a business card for displaying a business name of a dry cleaner, launderer, tailor, hotel, or other service provider. The receptacle can include a strap for attaching to an existing button, or for looping through a buttonhole corresponding to a location where a button needs to be repaired. The invention provides a solution to button repair identification that is especially useful with express laundry and dry cleaning services and that does not require a user to verbally explain where buttons need to be repaired.

Abstract: The present invention is an ammunition magazine, preferably made of a glass fiber reinforced polymer, utilizing a structurally enhancing ridge, angular guide rails and a follower made to interface with said guide rails to reduce wobble. The preferred embodiment also features a protective cover that distributes forces from the spring to more structurally sound areas of the magazine, thus reducing feed end splay, and may include an ammunition indication system comprised of at least one window and a noticeable marker on the follower spring. The follower and magazine casing are also designed to interface to prevent the follower from popping out of the feed end and the floor plate of the magazine utilizes a locking plate and sliding relationship between the floor plate, locking plate and magazine to secure the floor plate onto the magazine casing.

Abstract: A universal magazine release mechanism for firearms has a frame defining a cartridge magazine chamber receiving a cartridge magazine and having a magazine release receptacle intersecting the cartridge magazine chamber. A magazine release member is mounted within the magazine release receptacle and has linear movement to a magazine retaining position and a magazine release position. A spring urges the magazine release member toward the magazine retaining position. A magazine release button extends from the magazine release member and is exposed externally of the firearm frame for engagement and linear movement by the thumb of a user's hand. The magazine release member is selectively positioned to locate the magazine release button for thumb actuation by a right-handed user or a left-handed user.

The activator includes a second mechanical feature. The station positions the cartridge so that the first feature opposes the second feature. On condition that the first feature does not mechanically interfere with the second feature, the activator activates the cartridge to launch the projectile from the cartridge. On condition that the first feature mechanically interferes with the second feature resulting in an excess head space, the activator is inhibited by the excess head space from activating the cartridge.

Abstract: The suspended gun rest includes a pivoting arm adjustably mounted to a rigid support by a mount. The mount comprises an L-shaped bracket with a mounting hole and three holes for adjustment screws. A cradle is provided which includes two strings, a string routing system, a locking mechanism and a spindle. A hook is connected to one end of the pivoting arm. The two strings are connected to the spindle and routed through the cradle by the routing system and attached to the hook on the pivoting arm.

Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning a gun barrel having striations, which includes a cleaning device that comes in contact with the inner surface of the gun barrel as it is moved by a drive device installed inside a cylindrical main body. The cleaning device includes (i) a plurality of divided plates that fit atop the striations as a saddle and are slanted to correspond to a slope of the striations, (ii) cleaning members fixed to outer peripheries of the respective divided plates that come in contact with the inner surface of the gun barrel, and (iii) a cam device that converts a rotation of a drive motor installed inside the main body into a rectilinear movement in order to move the respective divided plates upward and downward.

Abstract: Rifle scopes with friction reducing elements include a scope body, a movable optical adjustment element connected to the scope body, and a turret rotatably connected to the scope body. The turret includes a contact element contacting the adjustment element at a location of contact. The contact element is rotatable with respect to the turret. The adjustment element at the location of contact differs in hardness from the hardness of a second portion of the adjustment element. The contact element at the location of contact and the adjustment element at the location of contact are of essentially equal hardness.

Abstract: A motion-type predator decoy for attracting coyotes, wild dogs and other pest or nuisance predators for use in ranching, farming, recreation land management, public safety and sporting fields. The decoy has a support base for placement during use on an environmental surface. The base includes a downwardly disposed surface contact end of a predetermined lateral dimension and an upwardly disposed support end of a predetermined lateral dimension. The decoy also has a driven decoy mechanism connected to the support end of the base. The decoy mechanism includes an actuator and a flexible decoy member. The actuator generates vibrations and the decoy mechanism undergoes random longitudinal, radial and lateral movement components with respect to the base. A method of using the decoy is also disclosed.

The upper planter section includes a ballast volume, a pole void and a wedge void and can include a plurality of drain ports with or without integrally attached circumferentially arrayed stands. The lower reservoir section includes a ballast volume, a wedge void, and a base void and can include a watering port. A wedge section can be provided to close off the wedge void and define the aperture in which a freestanding device such as a floor lamp is housed.

Abstract: A semi-circular flexible flower box (top section) and a semi-circular flexible mounting shelf (bottom section), are both functional companion units. The top section functions as a flower box but has a flexible accordion pleat (inside/outside diameters) configured in a semi-circle to allow for attachment to cylindrical objects. The bottom section functions as a mounting shelf for the top section and is structured not only in the same flexible semi-circular fashion, but is designed in such a way as to capture the flower box section allowing it to rest securely on the mounting shelf or bottom section. Configured to the inside or backside diameter of the mounting shelf are slots that allow for insertion of an attachment strap. The attachment strap allows for a precise and snug fit of the mounting shelf and companion flower box, top section to cylindrical objects within the range of the mounting shelf's diameter.

Abstract: A support post includes an inner post that supports rotation of an outer post. The inner post includes a journal assembly that supports and facilitates rotation about a central axis. The journal assembly that supports the outer post on the inner post includes a single ball bearing disposed along the axis of rotation. The inner post is fixed and supports a central post on which the ball bearing is supported. The outer post includes a sleeve that fits over the ball bearing and the central post. Support of the outer post along the central axis provides for improved mounting and gate support. An actuator can be utilized to automatically or remotely open the gate. The actuator is disposed within the inner post that drives rotation of the outer post. The outer post remains supported by the journal assembly and is rotated by the actuator with the inner post.

Abstract: A gutter retaining system incorporating a gutter clip with a gutter and retaining member. Retaining member is placed along the eaves. Various embodiments of retaining member permit its use with metal flashing and allow gutter system to be held against a building with straight fascia, slanted fascia, trim board and which permit free floating attachment of a debris guard. The gutter clip has an arm, a lower portion and an upper portion. The upper portion includes an upper u-section which is used to slip the gutter clip over the gutter. The arm fits between the gutter and a building wall. In addition, the gutter clip is scored at scoring lines along the arm which allows segments of arm to be removed. The removal of segments permits gutter clip to be modified for placement against buildings incorporating both straight and slanted fascia and trim board.

Abstract: A building covered with resin films 10, comprises a frame 11 constituting the bone structure of a building and a roof and /or a wall formed by stretching transparent resin films 20 on the frame, wherein the lower edge portion of a transparent resin film is held by a retainer 30 to fix it to the frame and a water-permeable sheet 40 is put with its upper edge portion being positioned at the inner surface side of the resin film and its lower edge portion being positioned at the outside of the building whereby condensed water resulted on the surface of the film facing the inside of the building is discharged to the outside thereof without losing the heat insulation effect.

Abstract: A system for connecting wall modules in a variable and a flexible fashion includes a flexible angle connector and a flexible spacing connector. The flexible angle connector and the flexible spacing connector can be used together at the same wall module joint as part of joints means. The flexible connectors provide the ability to angle wall modules at virtually any angle or degree of curvature. In addition, the flexible connectors can be configured to block light, air and sound. The flexible connectors can be used to provide a virtually endless wall/angle alignment in a given interior or exterior space.
