Abstract: The invention relates to a device (3) for absorbing electromagnetic radiation, in particular solar radiation. The device (3) has at least one 11cxible film pocket (4) that is divided into chambers (15). Said chambers (15) are connected to at least one feed clement (5) and at least one discharge element (6), by means of which a heat transfer medium can be fed to and discharged from the chambers (15). To prevent a build-up of pressure in the heat transfer medium caused by gravity and thus unwanted stress on the film material, at least one pressure reducing clement (21) is provided between at least two of the chambers (15) or fllm pockets (4). Abstract: The invention is related to solar collectors intended to perform technological processes and specifically, to solar collectors used for concentration by evaporation of aqueous solutions. The proposed solar collector concentrates the aqueous solution by combination of heating the upper thin layer of this solution (this heating is accompanied with evaporation a significant part of this layer) and carrying away of the obtained vapors from the internal space of the solar collector by air stream introduced constantly into the internal space. In another version of this invention the obtained vapors are condensing on the surface of cooling water flowing through the solar collector.

It also relates to a device used for active protection of incision margins and incorporating such an antibacterial agent. The applicant has now demonstrated surprisingly that the combination of regenerated or non-regenerated oxidized cellulose with povidone iodine provided a degree of bacterial inhibition superior to simple use of regenerated or non-regenerated oxidized cellulose on its own or of povidone iodine on its own. Abstract: Disclosed is a flow-driven antifouling device for a seismic marine streamer cable. A cylindrical housing is circumferentially mounted to a submerged, circular cable. Fluid flow over the cable provides motive power to rotate the device around the outer surface of the cable, preventing barnacles, marine growth and other fouling accumulation. Interior wheels contact the cable outer surface to disrupt fouling growth and control the direction of travel along the length of the cable. Radially-protruding vanes utilize the local fluid flow over the cable to apply a rotation to the device, powering its movement. The orientation of the inner wheels determines corkscrew direction, allowing forward and aft travel along the cable. Continuous and uninterrupted motion prevents fouling development, which improves the fidelity of seismic sensors and decreases drag on the cable.

Abstract: A compressor wash system for compressor washing includes stages of fluid delivery lines coupled at one end to a pump output and at the other end to a corresponding nozzle set. A control valve is connected to the fluid delivery line between the pump and the nozzle set, selectively supplying fluid between the pump and the nozzle set. Each nozzle of a nozzle set is positioned on an inlet of the compressor to allow the stages to wash a portion of the compressor. Nozzle sets are positioned around a bellmouth assembly and/or around an inlet cone of the compressor inlet, with a nozzle spray tip of each nozzle extending into an inlet air flow path of the compressor. Fluid may be directed to one or more of the stages in a sequencing pattern determined and configured to wash the compressor. Templates and installation guides are utilized to position the nozzles.
