Patent number: 8020280Abstract: An object is to provide a rotor manufacturing method capable of reducing a rotor unbalance amount by controlling a magnet arrangement position in a rotor core and improving work efficiency when fixing a magnet to the rotor core by using resin. A lower surface of a rotor core is arranged in a lower mold. A magnet is arranged in a lower mold. A magnet is contained in each of magnet containing holes formed in the rotor core in such a manner that a predetermined space is assumed between an upper surface of the rotor core and an upper surface of the magnet. An upper mold is arranged on the upper surface of the rotor core. The upper mold and the lower mold apply a pressure to the rotor core and a molten resin is supplied with pressure from an internal diameter side via the predetermined space into the plurality of magnet containing holes from respective cylinder arranged in the upper mold. Thus, the magnets are molded by resin while pressing the magnets toward the outer diameter side of the magnet containing holes.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2007Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignees: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Mitsui High-Tec, Inc.Inventors: Kenichiro Fukumaru, Katsumi Amano, Takashi Fukumoto, Kazutoshi Ueda, Kentaro Haruno, Taketo Takeuchi, Atsushi Watanabe

Patent number: 8020321Abstract: A snowshoe having a pivot axle for pitch rotation of the footbed platform relative to the snowshoe frame is supported from the frame in a manner that provides for significant lateral flexing, i.e. pivoting on the roll axis, to accommodate use of snowshoes on side hill terrain. Instead of a relatively rigid support from the snowshoe frame, the footbed platform is supported by left and right tension bands that are connected to the snowshoe frame and to left and right ends of the transverse pivot rod that provides pitch rotation. Preferably the connection to each end of the pivot rod is with a rotatable spindle over which the tension band engages, such rollers being connected at right angles to the two ends of the pivot rod. A rotation limiter can be included to limit free rotation of the binding in the pitch direction to a selected arc. The footbed support system can be employed on any type of snowshoe, whether a tubular frame, non-tubular frame or molded composite snowshoe.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2006Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: K-2 CorporationInventors: Gregory Vinton Matthews, Francis E. Patent number: 8020322Abstract: A cleat for a shoe has an annular array of different types of angularly spaced traction elements disposed about and depending from a hub periphery. The array includes plural types of flexible traction elements and plural types inflexible traction elements interleaved within the array. The dynamic elements are longer than the static elements and are of two different lengths. The static elements have two different configurations. The flexible elements are sufficiently close to adjacent inflexible elements to permit grass to be trapped therebetween when the flexible elements are flexed.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2008Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: Pride Manufacturing Company, LLCInventor: Faris W. Patent number: 8020324Abstract: A spacing assembly kit, for use with an implement assembly of a machine, includes a spacing element having a bore and a recess coaxial with the bore, the spacing element being positionable on an implement coupling pin to reduce an implement coupling width, and a spring clamp positionable within the recess and configured to inhibit movement of the spacing element along an implement coupling pin. An implement assembly includes an implement having a body and spaced apart pin supports, with a pin positionable within the pin supports and having an implement coupling width defined by an exposed portion of the pin. Spacing elements are positionable on the pin between the pin supports and configured to reduce the coupling width, spring clamps further being provided which are configured to inhibit movement of the spacing elements when the clamps are engaged about the pin.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2006Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: Caterpillar Inc.Inventors: Mark K. Patent number: 8020325Abstract: A method for manufacturing a pop-up article from one or more continuous webs of material using an inline printing press. The article comprises a curved or generally semi-cylindrical pop-up device enclosed within a base piece, such that when the base piece is in a closed position, the pop-up device lies flat therein, but when the base piece is moved to an open position, the pop-up device is forced outwardly from the base piece to form a curved or generally semi-cylindrical shape. The method comprises processing a first web or ribbon to define a base piece having a front and back cover, processing a second web or ribbon to define a pop-up device, separating the pop-up device from the second web or ribbon, adhering a tab of the pop-up device to the front cover, adhering a front flap of the pop-up device to the rear cover, and separating the article from the first web or ribbon.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2010Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: Vertis, Inc.Inventors: John Robert Ross, Jeffrey T. Patent number: 8020327Abstract: A rollable display (101) is wearable on a sleeve (103). The display (101) is part of a wrist-based device with a āUā shape. A part of the device is on top of the sleeve (103). The display (101) can be rolled out for use as needed. The device itself may be flexible or bendable i.e. have a x-rigid, U-shape or may allow the āUā shape to be folded out, for example by a hinge or sequence of connected segments that can be rotated freely, but which keep their position after being moved. The display (101) may be rolled out from under the sleeve (103) and then over the sleeve (103) along a predefined curve by means of a guiding mechanism. The device is easy to use, allows the use of large displays that may always be visible and allows freedom in the display design with respect to the direction in which the flexible display (101) is rolled out.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2006Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: Creator Technology B.V.Inventors: Nicolaas Willem Schellingerhout, Kenny Darmadji
