Abstract: An article of headgear for enabling eyewear when not in use to be securely positioned thereon, the article of headgear having a plurality of apertures arranged and adapted to accept insertion of the frame stems of the eyewear. The frame stems are inserted through selected apertures to position the eyewear in a variety of locations about the headgear. The headgear may be worn in a variety of locations about the headgear, such as with a baseball cap worn with the brim extending backwardly or sideways from the wearer's head.

Abstract: The Sneeze Sleeve is a tubular sleeve comprised of soft yet strong paper towel like like material that covers the arm of the wearer from the mid upper arm to the wrist. It has elastic bands at the mid upper arm and wrist with about one inch extensions which can be easily grasped for removal. It can be made in one size to fit all or large medium and small sizes. It needs to be long enough to cover the arm from the wrist to the mid upper arm and wide enough to allow for bending the elbow without tearing for even the largest of arms. It is worn to protect the wearers clothing or bare arm when sneezing and coughing into the bent elbow as this is what is being instructed to do by physicians. It should be packaged in a box similar to tissues or latex gloves where one can be pulled out as needed.

Preferably, the glove also includes protective padding disposed along a thumb stall of the glove at a location adapted to be along an ulnar border as well as the A2 pulleys of the thumb's proximal phalanx between the metacarpalphalangeal joint and the interphalangeal joint.

Abstract: A body towel structure includes a wrap unit and at least one perforation formed on the wrap unit. A first fastening section and a second fastening section are respectively disposed in two corners of the wrap unit. By means of the perforation and the first and second fastening sections, a user can wear the wrap unit with the wrap unit securely hung on the user's shoulder or neck to fully cover the user's body. While wearing the wrap unit, the user can still freely move without easy drop of the wrap unit.

Abstract: A device for warming a first arm and shoulder of a wearer includes a single arm portion and a torso portion. The single arm portion is comprised of a substantially flexible material and is configured to substantially cover the first arm of the wearer from the shoulder to a position beyond an elbow of the first arm. The torso portion is connected to the single arm portion and is configured to at least partially cover an opposite shoulder of the wearer without extending to an underarm under the opposite shoulder of the wearer. The torso portion includes a relatively rigid frame member. The torso portion defines a neck opening that is configured to receive a head and a neck of the wearer.

Abstract: A fashion accessory formed of a length of preferably lightweight fabric material configured generally into an elongate shape with a respective hole formed in each longitudinal end portion of the fabric length. The holes are sized to receive the head of a wearer and are formed essentially equidistant from the longitudinal ends of the fabric length. In this way, the wearer may insert her arms into the holes to wear the fabric length in the manner of a shawl; or the length of fabric may be folder on itself to align the holes so they may be fitted over the wearer's head to wear the fabric length in the manner of a poncho.

Abstract: This invention relates generally to a bra or tank that has three layers on the chest that allow the wearer to comfortably breast feed or pump milk hands-free. Specifically, the tank or bra has three detachable layers over the breast where the outer layer is a solid layer, the inner layer has two openings over the nipple that are equipped to receive the funnels of a breast pumping apparatus and hold them to the breast without the wearer holding them, and an inner layer that has a large opening for the breast so that the wearer may breast feed an infant.

Abstract: An improved horseback riding training glove that includes engagement mechanisms positioned on a plurality of fingertip sections, a palm section, a thumbtip section and a side of the index finger section. When the engagement mechanisms positioned on the fingertip sections releasably connect with the engagement mechanisms positioned on the palm section and the engagement mechanism positioned on the thumbtip section releasably connects with the engagement mechanism positioned on the side index finger section, a rider's fingers may be secured in the proper position for gripping the reins, while also allowing the rider to disconnect the engagement mechanisms by spreading out their fingers.

Abstract: The invention relates to garments and undergarments. More particularly, to a garment that may induce caloric burn while the wearer goes about his or her day. An objective for the garment is to increase exercise of body muscles used in daily living. In one embodiment, a garment and/or shaper is described with carefully positioned resistance bands that are relatively more resistant (i.e., less stretchy or elastic) than the fabric used to construct the remainder of the garment. At least two of these bands are positioned to extend from the thighs upwards towards the waist and cross at the ischium. These bands have a direct effect on muscles that would normally be activated during regular activity and cause them to be further exercised, but in a gentle manner. The effect, which may be slightly perceptible, is felt while the wearer goes about his or her day.

Abstract: A leg garment according to the present invention includes a body portion covering at least an instep, a sole and an ankle of a leg. The leg garment includes a support strip exerting a tightening force larger than that of a portion of the leg garment around the support strip. The support strip is arranged in the shape of an inwardly-wound helix extending from the instep to the ankle through the sole. The support strip includes: a first tightening portion arranged so as to medially extend from the instep to the sole; and a second tightening portion arranged so as to extend obliquely upward from a lateral side to a medial side of a ventral ankle, the second tightening portion compressing the ventral ankle via a surface thereof.

Abstract: The present invention provides a removable pocket connected to wearer's garment. A pocket section is attached to one end of a flexible fabric. At the other end of the flexible fabric is reinforced support section. The reinforced support section is inserted between the wearer's garment and the wearer's body. The reinforced support section is held in place by compressive force between the wearer's garment and the wearer's body. The flexible fabric is draped over the top edge of the wearer's garment so that the pocket section is exposed for storage of items. In a preferred embodiment, the wearer's garment is a pair of pants and the reinforced support section is held in place by compressive force between the waist band of the pants and the wearer's body.

Abstract: A method and device adapted to engage the fasteners of a garment to obviate closure of the fasteners of the garment comprising a body; at least one button hole engaging portion mounted on the body; at least one button engaging portion mounted on the body; whereby when the device is inserted in the garment, the at least one button hole engaging portion engages the button hole of the garment and the at least one button engaging portion engages the button of the garment. Abstract: A hinge mechanism for attaching ear accessories to a helmet allows an accessory to be attached at a point outside the helmet shell utilizing, for example, a slidable mounting rail, and to reach under the edge of the helmet shell so that the accessory is supported in contact with the wearer's head. The hinge mechanism is well suited for use in connection with military helmets that have a “bulge” or protrusion over the ear.

The plunger is biased into the fluid retention position. A driver drives a plunger actuator, and the plunger actuator is guided into engagement with the plunger to cause the plunger and the plunger actuator to move in unison and move the plunger into the fluid release position during a first portion of a stroke of the driver towards the fluid chamber, and the plunger actuator is further guided to permit the plunger to return to the fluid retention position during a second portion of the stroke.

The resilient core is formed by a viscoelastic foam layer with a vapour permeable reinforcing layer of stretchable material laminated onto a top surface of the viscoelastic foam layer. The reinforcing layer prevents cracking in the top surface of the viscoelastic foam layer and provides improved heat and moisture dissipation during use. The reinforcing layer is preferably formed by a spaced knitted fabric.

The self inflating cushion bladder (14) has an airtight envelope (15) containing compressible material (16) which is in air communication (19) with a displacement bladder (18) such that when in use the airtight envelope (15) and the displacement bladder (18) form a closed system from which no air can enter or escape. When there is no person seated on the seating surface (12), the self inflating cushion bladder (14) is inflated and the displacement bladder (18) is deflated. When there is a person seated on the seating surface, the weight of the person compresses the compressible material (16) so as to partially deflate the self inflating cushion bladder (14) which results in the contained air passing into the displacement bladder (18) which becomes fully inflated.

Each air bladder of the head air bladder set and the neck and shoulder bladder set is connected to an aerating/deflating device through air tubes. The air tubes are connected to a control device, so the control device derives the aerating/deflating device to aerate or deflate the air bladders of the head air bladder set and the neck and shoulder air bladder set. Each air tube is connected to a pressure sensor. When a pressure sensor detects the pressure of a air bladder increasing suddenly, it can determine that a user changes his/her sleep position from lying on his/her back to lying on his/her side.

Abstract: A method of operating a washing machine to detect unbalanced loads has been developed. The method includes operating a motor to rotate a tub holding a load at a first rotational rate that is below a threshold rotational rate, identifying a mass of the load, operating the motor to rotate the tub at a second rotational rate that is above the threshold rotational rate, identifying a power applied to the motor to continue rotation of the tub at the second rotational rate, obtaining an out of balance mass value from a memory with reference to the power applied to the motor, second rotational rate, and identified mass, identifying a maximum rate for the tub with reference to the out of balance mass value, and operating the motor to rotate the tub at a rate that is less than or equal to the maximum rate.

Abstract: Automatic pool cleaners (APCs) and components thereof are detailed. The APCs may include tracks for movement, with the tracks having teethed internal surfaces. The APCs additionally may supply shift mechanisms for purposes of changing direction of their movement and incorporate bladed scrubbers and easily-opening bodies.

Abstract: Devices and methods for cleaning an oral cavity by positioning a device suitable for detecting and removing plaque from the surface within the oral cavity having applied thereto a fluorescent agent capable of binding to plaque on the surface. The surface is substantially simultaneously cleaned and irradiated with a light of a wavelength effective to provide a fluorescent emission when contacted with said fluorescent agent. A portion of the fluorescent emission is collected (APV1), and compared to a predetermined threshold value (PPTV). If APV1 is less than PPTV, the device is moved to another section. If APV1 is greater than or equal to PPTV, then another portion of fluorescent emission is collected (APV2). The percent reduction from APV1 to APV2 determines when the device is moved to another section.

Abstract: A cleaner assembly (10) for cleaning a medical device such as a luer connector. The assembly includes a cup-shaped housing (12) having a cavity (18) extending from an open first end (14) to a closed second end (16), and a first scrubber (22) affixed at the bottom and along side surfaces of the cavity (18) and saturated with antimicrobial fluid. A notch is provided on a side of the mid portion between the handle and the set of bristles for attaching the brush to the arc of the can, the notch defined by an upper lip oriented towards the handle, a lower lip oriented towards the set of bristles and an opening separating the upper and lower lips.

The wire detachment preventing portion (50) is curved together with the wire (12) with a tip portion of the base part of the wire (12) being inserted therein.

Abstract: An absorbant glove having an agitating feature. The glove is formed from a base material which exhibits a high degree of absorbancy. In order to achieve this high degree of absorbancy, the base material preferably exhibits a very large surface area, such as a synthetic lamb's wool. The glove additionally has one or more areas of a rough, bristled material which is efficient at transmitting mechanical forces from movement of the user's hand to the stain. The bristled material is preferably a synthetic fabric, such as that commonly used for indoor/outdoor carpeting. In certain embodiments, one band of bristled material is formed at an angle to a second band of bristled material, wherein the angle is substantially between 20 degrees and 60 degrees. In other embodiments, the angle is substantially between 30 degrees and 45 degrees.

Abstract: A method and system for identifying when a cleaning article, such as a sponge, should be replaced or disposed within a period of time is disclosed. A cleaning article such as a sponge is labeled with a time increment that will act as an expiration date or reminder for the user. The time increment may be in month increments that can be abbreviated or spelled. At the end of the time increment, the user will be reminded that he has used the sponge longer than the time increment by seeing the time increment on the sponge. The sponge will be replaced with a sponge having a new time increment.

Abstract: A vacuum extension wand accessory storage assembly for use with a wet/dry vacuum that improves user access to the wands while simultaneously preventing accidental loss or dislodgement of the wands when the vacuum is not in use. The wand storage design includes the combination of a channeled, shaped surface formed in the bottom of the vacuum collection drum and an accessory attachment system on the bottom of the vacuum appliance having both front and rear securement assemblies which in combination secure the extension wands in place below the collection drum of the vacuum appliance in the event of vacuum transportation, lifting, or storage.
