Abstract: A method for making a circuit board includes separating a plurality of versatile circuit boards from a collective board by cutting a connecting portion of the collective board, the plurality of versatile circuit boards being connected each other via the connecting portion, and cutting a part of a wiring formed on each of the plurality of versatile circuit boards to produce the circuit board. The cutting of the part of the wiring is conducted within the separating of the plurality of versatile circuit boards.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a process, for fabricating a medical lead comprises: providing a splicing tube having a plurality of angularly spaced longitudinal grooves; placing a first plurality of conductors within the plurality of angularly spaced grooves defined on an exterior surface of the splicing tube; placing a second plurality of conductors within the plurality of angularly spaced grooves and adjacent to the first plurality of conductors such that a portion of the distal ends overlap a portion of the proximal ends; positioning conductive filler material adjacent to the overlapped portions of the distal and proximal ends; electrically coupling the proximal ends of the first plurality of electrodes to respective proximal ends of the second plurality of electrodes; molding insulative material about at least the electrode assembly and the splicing tube; and fusing the splicing tube with the insulative material from the molding and the lead body.

Abstract: This is directed to a power adapter plug arm manufactured from a single piece of material. The plug arm can include a plug operative to extend into a wall socket, an elongated plate coupled to an end of the plug such that the plug extends from a first surface of one end of the plate, and a pin coupled to the opposite end of the plate and extending from the opposite surface of the plate. The pin can be operative to engage a circuit board of the power adapter to provide power received from the wall socket to an electronic device coupled to the power adapter. To enhance the strength of the plug arm, the plate can be manufactured by creating a co-axial plug and a stem from a single piece of material, bending the stem, and cold heading the bent portion of the stem to form a plate. Because the cold heading process involves cold working the material, the arm and in particular the bridge member at the interface between the plate and the stem can become stronger as a result of the manufacturing process.

Abstract: The invention relates to an electrically operated shaver with at least one upper blade attachable to a shear head frame by means of a removable frame, on the underside of which lies a linearly oscillating lower blade. The lower blade is connected via a clutch engagement with an oscillating bridge mounted on either side on the shaver by resilient arms. The oscillating bridge is also connected to the drive shaft of an electric motor via a gear mechanism, so that when the motor is running, the oscillating bridge, and thus also the lower blade, is set in linear reciprocating motion. According to the invention, the resilient arms of the oscillating bridge are arranged on the removable frame. In this way, the oscillating bridge which often wears out quickly, can also be replaced when the cutting device is replaced. This prevents malfunction and potentially high repair expenses, thus reducing costs.

Lubricant pockets (11) are formed in the side surface (8). The lubricant pockets (11) are only open toward the corresponding side wall (9) of the guide groove (10) and are otherwise closed. Offside the lubricant pockets (11), the side surface (8) has a flat sliding surface (12) which slides on the side wall (9) of the guide groove (10). The lubricant pocket (11) has a mean diameter and a maximum depth. The ratio of the mean diameter to the maximum depth lies in a range of 5.0 up to and including 25.0.

Abstract: A wire cutter head for preventing misalignment of cutting blades comprises two cutting members, the two cutting members respectively have a cutting face and a handle neck at two ends and are pivoted together at a middle position. The cutting face is a stepped inclined surface having a stopping surface formed with an inclined angle at an approximant middle section, such that the two stopping surfaces are flat with respect to each other, and a blade is formed at a lower edge of the cutting face. The handle neck is a plate used for controlling the pivot angle of the cutting blades. When the handle necks of the cutting members are pressed to rotate the cutting faces, the two facing stopping surfaces and the blades of the two cutting members contact each other. Therefore, the linear contact between the blades is free from misalignment and no offset gap between the blades occurs during operation.

In yet other embodiments, there is a device for cutting material between a foot and a sharp edge, with the bottom of the foot being under the sharp edge to protect the skin of the patient.

The can opener is further provided with a lock operable to maintain the drive wheel in a predetermined position relative to the blade when said portion of a can is gripped between the blade and drive wheel. The blade and drive wheel, in use, grip the raised peripheral rim of the can which projects upwardly from the lid of the can.

Abstract: An adjustable hanging device for hanging frames, shelves, mirrors, etc., comprising a linear element having thereon a pair of spaced sliders, each slider having a point thereon to enable a spot to be marked on a wall, and a level mounted on the linear element for facilitating leveling of the device so that the item to be mounted will be level, the linear element being retractable into a storage case.

Abstract: A collaboration tool is presented for accurately guiding two or more communicating users to reference common locations in similar but separate architectural drawings. The collaboration tool includes a transparent planar sheet having at least one squared corner, and a grid of squares imposed on at least one side of the transparent sheet. The grid of squares has an X axis and a Y axis originating from the at least one square corner. Each square in the grid of squares is associated with a unique X-axis designator and a unique Y-axis designator. The apparatus further includes an aperture provided within each square of the grid of squares, for allowing a marking instrument therethrough for making a mark at a designated location on an architectural drawing underneath the transparent planar sheet.

Abstract: A form measuring instrument includes an instrument body and a controller that controls the instrument body. The instrument body includes a probe. The probe includes: a rod-like stylus having a distal end attached with a stylus tip for contacting with an object; and a support mechanism that supports the base end of the stylus. The support mechanism includes a probe sensor that detects the position of the stylus and supports the stylus in a manner movable within a predetermined range. The controller calculates a measurement value based on a transfer function whose input is the position of the stylus detected by the probe sensor and output is the contact position of the stylus tip against the object.

Abstract: A neck measurement device (20) and a method of selecting a pillow (1, 41, 51) which takes into account the physique of the user are disclosed. A neck compression index (NCi) is calculated being the weight of the sleeper in kilograms divided by the shoulder width (ear to outer arm dimension) of the sleeper in centimeters. Preferably a compensated NCi is calculated which takes into account the softness or hardness of the mattress. A pillow resiliency is then selected based on the (compensated) NCi. Color coded pillow slips can be used to assist sleepers to self-select a pillow appropriate for their physique. Mail order and Internet based selling methods are disclosed.

Abstract: A dryer having a steam generator having high energy efficiency and incurring a low fabrication cost is disclosed. The dryer includes: a drum rotatably mounted in the interior of a main body and accommodating the laundry; a duct guiding air supplied to the drum; a heater assembly provided within the duct and heating air supplied to the drum; and a steam generator disposed to be adjacent to the heater assembly and generating steam to be supplied to the drum by using heat generated by the heater assembly.

Abstract: A process for drying brewer's spent grains, so as to obtain a product with moisture lower than or equal to 15% by weight, biologically stable in time, with high nutritional value, commercially profitable, and environmentally safe, the process comprising two phases: the first one is a mechanical pressing operation for diminishing the initial moisture of brewer's spent grains from at least 75-80% by weight, up to a lower moisture value of 70% by weight; the liquid obtained is carried to an effluent treatment plant; the solid obtained undergoes a second phase; said second phase consists of thermal drying, having two sub-phases: during the first one, the product is transported through a hot air current while during the second one, it is transported by an air current at room temperature; this way, a final product with a moisture content lower of 15% or less by weight is obtained.

Abstract: The present invention is a shoe sole comprising an array of elliptical cells, wherein each cell has a wall, and wherein each cell wall is conjoined to or contiguous with at least one other cell wall. The cell wall may be conjoined to another cell wall by a conjoining element. At least some of the cell walls buckle when compressive or shear force is applied during use. The sole is made from any material with elastic properties for this application. The shoe sole can further comprise a substrate, also made of elastomeric material, integrated with the cell walls at their upper level, lower level, or their periphery, forming a unitary piece. Variations can be made as to the dimensions and arrangement of these cell walls. This sole can be incorporated into a shoe sole assembly as a shoe midsole.

Abstract: An article of footwear and a method of manufacturing the article of footwear are disclosed. The footwear may include an upper and a sole structure. The upper incorporates a textile element with edges that are joined together to define at least a portion of a void for receiving a foot. The textile element may also have a first area and a second area with a unitary construction. The first area is formed of a first stitch configuration, and the second area is formed of a second stitch configuration that is different from the first stitch configuration to impart varying textures to a surface of the textile element. Various warp knitting or weft knitting processes may be utilized to form the textile element.

The automatic lacing system provides a set of straps that can be automatically opened and closed to switch between a loosened and tightened position of the upper. The article further includes an automatic ankle cinching system that is configured to automatically adjust an ankle portion of the upper.

Abstract: Golf shoes are revealed. The golf shoes include auxiliary supports arranged at the positions which golf players' center of gravity shifted to during the strike. Thus the center of gravity of the player changed during the swing is supported by the auxiliary supports for maintaining the lower body of the player stable throughout the lift. The power of the strike is maintained due to the firm lower body. The accuracy is also good, not affected by changes of the center of gravity of the body. Therefore the player can swing through easily and have a nice shoot smoothly.

Abstract: The invention utilizes a semi-rigid endoskeleton foot support encased inside an elastomeric sock. The endoskeleton controls the hind foot as well as supporting the medial longitudinal arch, extending over the malleoli if extra support is needed for additional biomechanical control, while allowing the fore, lateral, and rear plantar surface of the foot indirect contact with the ground through the sock. The elastomeric sock provides circumferential compression, while simultaneously securing the endoskeleton intimately to the wearer's foot.

Abstract: Disclosed is a stretcher bar framing and canvas fastening system specifically designed for artists. The stretcher bar framing system consists of side bar segments of variable lengths and pre-molded corner segments that are snap fitting and interlocking for quick and easy assembly and disassembly. The snap fit interlocking bar and corner segments feature a locking mechanism that utilizes a male plug member and a female socket member. The plug member includes a pair of resilient flexible arms with a flat surface tooth that interlocks when fully inserted in the socket member. The plug and socket members snap together for a tight and straight fit that can be quickly released using a side release mechanism. The side release mechanism disengages the stretcher bar segments by pressing inward on the flat tooth surface of the latching arms located within the side aperture on the bar.

An annular groove associated with each hand guard member is mated with a portion of a flange of the barrel nut. The flange is secured within the annular groove of at least one hand guard member. The delta ring is advanced over a portion of some or all the hand guard members.

A blade and anvil on the handle ends can cut the line after a lure is tied.

Abstract: An electronic sound module in a fishing lure in the water is activated by a fisherman on the shore to broadcast a pre-recorded actual or simulated sound of a bait creature. In a preferred embodiment, a motion sensor in the sound module activates the sound chip and micro speaker when the fisherman tugs on the line, a water sensing automatic on-off switch turns the power on and off, and the battery is charged by an external charging coil. An alternate embodiment remote radio controlled robotic fishing lure device replicates bait animals in size, shape, movement and sound.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder includes a base plate and a fishing ice box. The base plate is provided with at least one rod holding portion that is erectable or foldable. The rear edge of the base plate is connected by hinges to the bottom of one side surface of the fishing ice box, so that the base plate can be folded to abut against the side surface of the fishing ice box. Therefore, the present invention provides a fishing rod holder that includes a fishing ice box attached to at least one rod holding portion. Further, the fishing ice box is also used for supporting the fishing rod, so that the present invention can be folded for storage and ease of carrying.

Abstract: A fishing hook assembly includes a base, a central axis extending through the base, and a first, second, and third hook member moveably connected to the base. Each hook member includes a shaft connected to the base and extending therefrom, an arm connected to the shaft at a bend and forming an obtuse angle with the shaft, and an engagement portion connected to the arm and including an engagement point, wherein the arm and the engagement portion connect at an acute angle. The hook assembly is moveable from a first configuration to a second configuration.

Abstract: A concealed hook fish lure is disclosed. In one embodiment, a lure body contains an interior body cavity wherein is placed a hook that is pivotally mounted on a bar with a spring biased to rotate the hook. In the non-deployed position, the hook is concealed and retracted within the lure up to the moment of the strike. At the moment of the strike, the fish compresses a hook trigger clip which releases the hook, which is then pivoted upwardly into the mouth of the fish, thereby facilitating the setting of the hook in the fish's mouth. The lure is useful in waters containing weeds and other debris, and provides improvements with respect to a simple mechanism for deploying the hook, and the ability to deploy hooks in multiple directions relative to the lure body. The hook may also be readily retracted to and cocked in its concealed position following a strike.
