Abstract: A disposable face shield having an improved attachment mechanism for securing a band to attach the shield to a user's face is disclosed. The disposable face shield includes a flexible transparent member having at least one slit therethrough. The slit edges have points that grab the elastic holding strap at a selected location to make a selected adjustment of the face shield to the user's head. A flexible forehead support member is provided on the upper portion of the transparent member to nestle against a user's forehead.

Abstract: A waterproof mask is provided in this invention. The waterproof mask comprises a frame portion and a leaning portion that is tightly connected to the frame portion. The leaning portion has a plurality of first structures and a plurality of second structures, which are alternately arranged. The first thickness of each of the first structures is thinner than the second thickness of the second structure. Due to the differences in thickness, the leaning portion of the waterproof mask can be adjusted according to the user's face shape for a perfect fit.

Abstract: A disposable, thin, water-impermeable plastic glove that covers the hand and forearm of a patient after IV fluids have been discontinued and the patient is ready to shower or bath. The glove includes a hand portion, a tubular forearm portion, a wrist opening, and an adhesive strip. The glove prevents the patient's hand and forearm from getting wet or from being exposed to harsh chemicals and other liquids.

Abstract: The combination of a tracheostomy bib and a pipe support collar includes a front wall connected to a back wall together defining a pocket which includes a pocket opening and a bottom. The front wall and back wall are connected at a right side and a left side and at the bottom to form an enclosed pocket having a pocket opening. The front wall includes an outer top edge which includes a frame for maintaining the pocket opening in an open position. The bib further includes supports for fastening the bib to the pipe support collar.

Abstract: A convertible bib system is disclosed. The bib system includes a substrate base with a front side and a rear side, a catch-all pocket, an adjustable bib clip strap, collar bands, recesses, storage compartments, and various fastening devices. The bib system is configured for storage of small items and for conversion from a bib to a clutch/wallet. The bib system is configured as a bib for secure attachment around the neck of a child, the capturing of food particles and liquids, the subsequent cleaning of the bib and the transport of the folded bib in a clutch/wallet state. The bib system also is utilized for the storage of a multiplicity of items.

Abstract: The invention relates to a clothing item, particularly for sports activities, made of water-proof and wind-proof material, comprising a climate membrane. Regions (7, 8) made of highly elastic woven fabric which has temperature equalizing properties are provided in the material.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for affixing hardware components to garments. Hardware components are provided with an operative component and an adhesive surface. The operative component interacts with one or more other operative components and/or with one or more other features of the garment (e.g. with cords, straps or the like connected to the garment and/or with the fabric of the garment) and/or with one or more external devices. The adhesive surface is bonded to a corresponding surface of a fabric layer of the garment using an adhesive located between the adhesive surface and the corresponding surface of the fabric layer.

Abstract: A garment covering for an infant car seat or carrier is fabricated as a unitary one piece covering made of a blanket-type material. The covering has a front section, a back section, a neck section, and a closed bottom. The front section of the covering extends uninterrupted for the length and width of the covering, such that it is entirely closed. The back section has two rear flaps extending from opposite sides of the front section. Two arm sections extend from the front section and the flaps. An enclosed pouch is located at the back of the covering. The pouch has an opening which extends from the opening to the closed bottom of the covering.

Abstract: A thermal therapy garment that covers at least the lower extremities of a patient. The garment has an air impermeable outer layer and an air permeable inner layer. An inflatable air chamber is defined between the inner and outer layers. An inlet port connects to the chamber to allow inflation with conditioned air, which is exhausted through the inner layer over a selected region of the patient's lower body. A gown has a length sufficient to overlap a waist portion of the garment, The gown has an opening that coincides with the inlet port, thereby allowing a hose to pass through the gown and connect to the inlet port. In one embodiment, the gown has sleeves and/or a posterior portion that are heat reflective whereby the extremities are warmed to minimize the core to peripheral temperature gradient.

Abstract: A device for warming a human body. The device is a gown that has a body with a thorax portion and a leg portion. One embodiment prevents redistribution hypothermia with a distributor attached to the inside of the leg portion. The sleeves, leg portion, and posterior of the gown are heat reflective. The anterior of the thorax portion of the gown is non-reflective. The distributor inflates when heated air is supplied. The distributor exhausts air into the gown. Temperature is maintained at a desired level for the extremities, while preventing the thorax area from being elevated to an uncomfortable level. Another embodiment is a perioperative warming device. The device is a gown that has a thorax portion and a leg portion. Each portion has an independent air chamber and inlet. The two portions are releasably connected. The sleeves, leg portion, and anterior of the gown are heat reflective.

Abstract: A protective clothing system is disclosed and includes in one embodiment a short sleeve garment and right and left long-sleeves having a tubular shape so that the wearer can slide an arm into a respective one of each of the long-sleeves so that one end of the long-sleeve reaches the upper arm at a position above the hem of the short-sleeve, and the other end of the long-sleeve reaches to the wrist of the wearer, each of the long-sleeves hemmed at least on the other end.

Abstract: The present invention provides a golf glove which allows a golfer to wear it or further fasten up the attachment member without bothering other players near the teeing ground or the putting green. When a dial member 13 is rotated in a clockwise direction with respect to a guide member 12, an interlocking groove 13D of a dial member 13 pulls a head portion 11D of an interlocking protrusion of a plate member in a direction indicated by the left pointing arrow along a long guide hole 12A of the guide member 12, and thus the guide member 12 on the attachment member 1C moves relatively in a direction of tightening up the attachment member 1C and the golf glove is put on a hand. When the dial member 13 is further rotated in a clockwise direction, the attachment member 1C is tightened up so that the worn golf glove fits more closely to the hand. No rasping and uncomfortable ripping noises which are peculiar to plane fasteners used in a conventional golf glove will be generated.

Abstract: Face masks that are provided in a generally flat configuration and are capable of being expanded to a cup-shaped configuration. Such masks include at least one porous layer that includes at least one pleat and that is capable of being expanded by at least partially unfolding the at least one pleat. The mask further includes at least one stiffening element that comprises at least one engaging feature. Upon expanding the porous layer, the engaging feature engages with the porous layer so as to enhance the ability of the mask to maintain the expanded, cup-shaped configuration.

Abstract: Left and right ear shades that are connectable to the bottom of an ordinary baseball cap, etc. Each ear shade removably attaches to the side of the hat and can be moved forward or backward along the hat to accommodate the wearer. Each ear shade includes an attachment member for releasably connecting the ear shade to the hat. Connected to the attachment member is an arcuate cover, which is ideally shaped to fit around the at least part of the back, the top, and part of the front of the ear. The cover extends laterally from the wearer's head to shade the ear. The attachment member may include an integral clip, a serrated projection, a wedge, or a tab and removable clip, for example.

Abstract: Trousers and methods for reducing muscle fatigue, and overcoming range of motion restrictions in the legs caused by the friction created by trouser legs rubbing against the knee portion of a person's leg when they are moving are disclosed. In certain embodiments, the trousers and methods use (1) an engineered dart in the mid-thigh region of the trouser, or (2) a zipper to decrease the vertical linear fabric surface in the mid-thigh region of the trouser such that the resulting tension causes the trouser fabric in the knee region to lift out and away from the knee portion of the wear's leg, thusly eliminating or greatly reducing contact between the trouser leg and the wearer's knee and the resulting strain.

Said liner when used in as a laptop case/tray will also prevent RF radiation to the body. Said liner can also be crafted for a carrying case pocket for computing devices serving to prevent both RF radiation as well as help shield to prevent Cyber intrusion from occurring within the device. Application for the pocket liner can be sewn, ironed on, glued on, during or after manufacturing.

The undergarment girth is manually adjustable by adjusting the connected length of a connected side panel and is further adjustable by detaching a connected side panel and attaching an alternative side panel that provides a different connected length.

Abstract: A safety helmet includes damping elements for example made from expanded polystyrene added onto a shell made from an elastically deformable material. The whole of the surface, facing the shell, of the damping elements arranged along the periphery of the opening is positioned against the shell to form an inner supporting belt completely in contact with the shell. The helmet is arranged in such a way that a position of the head in the cavity of the helmet causes a deformation of the supporting belt by elastic deformation of the shell according to the morphology of the head, generating permanent tightening of the supporting belt against the head in substantially uniform manner along the supporting belt.

Abstract: A sports helmet includes a soft casing having a plurality of holes to allow for proper aeration, and a rear orifice to allow for hair pieces, such as pony tails, to extend from a wearer's head therethrough so as not to interfere with the operation of the helmet or distract the wearer from play. The helmet also contains a front edge which is particularly shaped to conform to the top edge of protective eyewear to eliminate any unprotected gap between the helmet and the eyewear.

Abstract: There is disclosed a visor comprising at least one transparent plate, in which or on which a light-sensitive material is provided, which material has the property of transmitting less light as more light is incident thereon. In particular UV light-intensity-activated, UV light-blocking pigments, photochromatic pigments are used in the light-sensitive material. The light-sensitive material, which may be fixedly or detachably provided on the transparent plate, is transparent in the deactivated condition thereof.

Abstract: A goggle mask is provided. The goggle mask includes at least one check valve device with a soft body and at least one valve disk. The soft body is integrally connected with the soft nose masking portion of the goggle mask. The soft body has a draining hole. The valve disk is adapted to movably cover the draining hole. With this arrangement, there are no hard objects that come into contact with the user's face, so the user may feel less uncomfortable. A check valve device and a method for manufacturing a check valve device of a goggle mask are also provided.

Abstract: A furniture product includes a folding mechanism that folds into a seat frame. The folding mechanism includes a rear section, a middle section, and a front section, with the rear and middle sections being received in a cavity in the back of the seat frame when the product is in a stowed, seating position. Upon receiving a user input, a position motor deploys the folding mechanism into a sleeping position. Upon achieving the sleeping position, an inflation switch is engaged. An air pump disposed in or near the furniture product is activated in response to engagement of the inflation switch. To return the product to a stowed, seating position, a user input causes the air pump to deflate the mattress and the position motor to fold the folding mechanism into the seat frame.

Abstract: A portable and collapsible cot structure comprises a fabric web, a frame, and a plurality of folding legs pivotally attached to the frame. The cot structure is collapsible to a bundled condition to minimize the amount of space taken up by the structure during storage and transportation. The cot structure includes at least one locking assembly pivotally connected to a leg assembly for maintaining the cot in an open, set-up condition, wherein the locking assembly must be unlocked before the cot structure can be collapsed. The locking assembly includes a first pedal for locking the assembly and a second pedal for unlocking the assembly. Preferably, a downward force can be applied to operate either pedal, thereby facilitating quick and easy set-up and break down of the cot structure without compromising safety, consuming too much time, or requiring undue effort.

An insert includes a base extending between sidewalls which have various contoured surfaces. The contoured sidewall surfaces enable the insert to be disposed in a bed frame in association with a mattress. Inner surfaces of the sidewalls are configured to accommodate receipt of a mattress while outer surfaces of the sidewalls are configured for the insert to be disposed in a bed frame. The surface sidewalls may further be configured to provide the insert with a safety feature which prevents or reduces the likelihood of a user falling from the side of a mattress associated with the insert.

The person-support assembly is coupled to the frame and is configured to rotate about a first rotational axis with respect to the frame between a first position and a second position. The bed also has control circuitry coupled to the lift system to command operation of the lift system. The control circuitry further includes an angle sensor to provide a signal indicative of an angle at which at least one of the base and the upper frame are tilted away from a substantially horizontal orientation. The control circuitry has an indicator that is activated to indicate to a caregiver that the lift system should be operated to move the upper frame to the low position when the angle sensor indicates that the angle is greater than a threshold amount.

Each of the coil springs has a tapered central spiral portion defining a central spring axis and terminating at opposed ends with upper and lower end turns. The bands of springs may be arranged in any desired orientation and may be connected by helical lacing wires.

Abstract: A one piece foam mattress core or innerspring encasement is a single contiguous piece of foam having a mattress core or base and four perimeter side supports and which fits with a mattress core or innerspring to provide an integrated mattress construction. The mattress core or base of the encasement is positioned below the mattress core or innerspring proximate to or against a bottom surface. The mattress core or base and the perimeter side supports are connected along fold lines or grooves in the single piece of foam so that the perimeter side walls can be folded to vertical positions about a perimeter of the mattress core or innerspring. The single piece of foam of the encasement is producible in different sizes to fit with different size mattress cores or innersprings.

Abstract: A laundry treatment device includes a treatment chamber for receiving items to be washed and a steam generator supplied with water from a water source by a pump. The nebulizer facility is constructed to mix treatment agents in the form of an aerosol with the steam.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for reactive dyeing of leather, which includes: providing a reactive dye solution including at least one reactive dye and water, and making the reactive dye in the reactive dye solution to act on crust leather at a temperature from 25° C. to 70° C. to form covalent bonds between the reactive dye and the crust leather. Accordingly, the method for reactive dyeing of leather according to the present invention can enhance fastness and levelling property.
