Abstract: A connector cover assembling system includes an arrangement apparatus, which aligns covers and includes a transporting channel for transporting the covers to a frame that supports the covers and associated connector bodies. A cover driving member transports the covers one by one from the frame to a separating mechanism, which further transports the cover to a location above a clamping mechanism for being clamped by the clamping mechanism. A lifting mechanism drives an inserting mechanism and the clamping mechanism to the separating mechanism. The clamping mechanism clamps the covers from the separating mechanism. The inserting mechanism drives the clamping mechanism to transport and assemble the cover to the connector body. A holding mechanism holds the connector body during the assembling operation. The control unit coordinates operations of the above-mentioned components. Therefore, manufacturing efficiency of electrical connector can be improved and manufacturing costs reduced.

Abstract: A method of fabricating sleeves for trampolines includes steps of: first, bending a plate into a tube with a coupling seam bonded through a bonding process to form a sleeve; next, expanding an opening of the sleeve through an opening expansion means to form a body and an expanded opening section extended from the body; applying a compressive force to the expanded opening section to form an outer expanded portion and an inner folding portion. When the sleeve is coupled with a connection tube, the outer expanded portion and inner folding portion provide greater structural strength. Whether defects are formed on the coupling seam at the outer expanded portion and inner folding portion can be easily and visually detected after the fabrication process is finished. Thus defected sleeve can be instantly identified during the fabrication process to save extra inspection time. Fabrication productivity of trampolines also improves.

Abstract: For turbo-diesel application trucks, it is desirable to enable the quickest exit of the exhaust from the engine because, in most cases, the exhaust gas temperatures of these engines are very high. Thus, a hole is formed in the hood of the trucks and the exhaust stack is slid through the hole to permit the quickest exit of the exhaust into the atmosphere. However although the hood may be non-horizontally oriented, the stack should be kept in a vertical position. Thus, a stack mounting basket is positioned beneath the hole having three widely separated outwardly extending threaded bolt extensions that are positioned within three slotted downwardly extending elongated members affixed to the hood. The relative positions of the elongated members with respect to the threaded bolt extensions are adjusted, and nuts are tightened over the elongated members to permit the stack to maintain a vertical orientation.

Abstract: A spring wire with a hardness of 50 to 56 HRC is subjected to first and second shot peening processes within a warm working temperature range of 150 to 350° C. In the first shot peening process, a first shot of a shot size of at least 1.0 mm is used. In the second shot peening process, a second shot smaller in shot size than the first shot is sued. Through these shot peening processes, compressive residual stress is imparted to the spring wire. The spring wire includes a residual stress increase part, residual stress peak part, and residual stress decrease part. In the residual stress decrease part, a part including a compressive residual stress magnitude equivalent to the magnitude of the compressive residual stress at a surface of the spring wire exists at a region at a depth exceeding the permissible pit depth.

Abstract: A method of repairing a bearing of a wind turbine generator is provided which is able to more permanently repair a gap which occurred between a constituent member of the wind turbine generator and a bearing ring of the bearing. For example, in the case of repairing the gap 13 between the main shaft outer cylinder 10 of the wind turbine generator 1 and the outer ring 12A of the main bearing 12, the plate 40 is inserted between the main shaft outer cylinder 10 and the outer ring 12A, and also the plate 40 is fixed to an inner circumferential surface of the main shaft outer cylinder 10 by the adhesive agent 41. On the other hand, slip is permitted between the plate 40 and the outer ring 12A of the main bearing 12.

The preferred embodiment utilizes a convex cone lens, the lateral surface of which provides for total internal reflection, to disperse the incident beam. The curvatures of the interior and exterior surfaces of a toroidal ring lens normalize and athermalize the dispersed beam such that the resulting projection is orthogonal to the incident beam throughout an operable temperature range. Alternate optical embodiments are also disclosed which utilize various means of dispersal and normalization such as a conical reflector, concave cone lens, double-prism ring and well-adapted spherical lenses.
