Abstract: A cut resistant sweater is provided including a chest portion, sleeves, collar, and closure extending from the top edge of the collar through at least part of the chest portion. The closure includes an opening extending from the top of the collar through at least part of the chest portion, and a strip having a first part of a hook and loop fastener thereon. A second part of the hook and loop fastener is disposed on the sweater in at least two pieces, a piece adjacent to a first side of the opening and a piece adjacent to a second side of the opening. The closure is stiff relative to the collar to support the collar. A method for manufacturing the sweater includes providing a cut resistant yarn, and knitting it into a sweater in the order of cuff of first sleeve, first sleeve, body and collar, second sleeve, and cuff of the second sleeve.

Abstract: There is provided a protective glove to cover at least a portion of a hand of an archer during the shooting of arrows from a bow, which glove is designed to resist a broken arrow from puncturing through the glove and entering the flesh of the user. In particular, there may be a palm section, made of a first arrow puncturable material that covers the palm of the users hand. There may also be a protective section, located on the glove covering the back of the hand of the user, made of a second material that has a weight-to-strength value of at least that of steel, coupled to the palm section and positioned so that a broken arrow being shot from a bow will have a higher likely hood of hitting the protective section than hitting areas not having the protective section.

Abstract: A sports glove includes a glove and a pouch. The glove is adapted to be worn on a first hand of a player, the glove having an inner portion and an outer portion. The pouch is attached to the outer portion of the glove and comprises an outer layer having a peripheral edge and being constructed of rugged but flexible material, and at least one inner layer having a peripheral edge and being constructed of an insulating material. The outer layer and the at least one inner layer are attached to the outer portion of the glove along at least a portion of their corresponding peripheral edges so as to thereby define an opening between the pouch and the glove such that the opening is oriented and sized to receive a second hand of the player while the glove is worn on the first hand of the player.

Abstract: A system for protecting eye glass frames during a hair dye, coloring, or highlighting process is described. The system comprises a support layer, a pair of gloves laminated onto the support layer, and a pair of eyeglass arm protectors laminated onto the support layer. Each eyeglass arm protector is formed as a sleeve having an open end. An apparatus and method are also disclosed for manufacturing sections of a support layer material, each section having a pair of gloves and a pair of eyeglass arm protectors laminated thereto. Also disclosed is a system for providing laminated gloves one over the other, comprising a carrier sheet and a pair of gloves on the carrier sheet, the pair of gloves comprising a top glove and a bottom glove, wherein the top glove overlaps the bottom glove and is laminated directly on the bottom glove, without the gloves being sealed together, and wherein the pair of gloves are of substantially the same hand size.

In some implementations, the scarf includes a neck warmer, a left piece, and a right piece, in some implementations, the scarf includes a front panel, a rear panel, and a neck warmer. In some implementations, the front and rear panels substantially cover the chest and back regions of the wearer, respectively, in another example, the scarf includes a hood that may be worn over the head of the wearer.

Abstract: The present invention is a garment that has two selectable neckline configurations, open and closed. The garment has a frontal closure. In the closed configuration, the frontal closure is closed to the neck. In the open configuration, the frontal closure is open over some interval below the neck. On each side of the frontal closure near the neckline, the garment has a respective proximal flap fastener. There is also a distal flap fastener that is further away from the neckline and from the closure than is the proximal flap fastener, and is usually below the proximal flap fastener. The garment near the intersection of the neckline and the frontal closure on either side can be folded down along a crease line, forming a flap on each side of the closure with the proximal and distal flap fasteners coupled.

Abstract: An impact absorbing protective garment is provided, for wearing about the torso of a body, such as a baseball umpire, that comprises three layers. There is an outer shell layer comprised of a plurality of plate elements that are generally stiff, shock-resistant lightweight material, that are fastened to a middle layer. The middle layer is in the form of a flexible pad having various components, and that provides an intermediate thickness of cushioning material inside the outer shell layer. There is an inner layer carried by the middle layer that comprises a plurality of cells of phase change material, with the various cells being separated from each other by sealing zones. Upon sufficient impact the individual cells can communicate through small pores in the sealing zones or when the sealing zones rupture under impact pressure, to assist in impact absorption.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to improved water closet flanges and methods for installing such water closet flanges. In one exemplary embodiment, an improved water close flange apparatus includes a modular spacer system for raising an upper surface of the outer surface above a finish flooring surface installed on top of a ground slab in order to improve the ease of installation. In one embodiment, an improved water closet flange apparatus includes an outer flange and a flexible conduit portion (i.e. sleeve) extending downwardly therefrom. The flexible sleeve has a sufficient degree of flexibility to accommodate connection between offset, misaligned, angled, or otherwise incongruous plumbing fixture discharges and waste drain pipe outlets. In one embodiment, the flexible sleeve includes at least one corrugated portion to aid the desired flexibility.

Abstract: Implementations of a toilet installation guide and methods for installing a toilet. Implementations of toilet installation guides may include a shaft including a bolt receiving portion configured to receive a portion of a bolt and align a length of the shaft with a length of the bolt, a taper configured to be passed through the installation hole of the toilet while lowering the toilet toward the floor, and a visual aid configured to be seen through a toilet installation hole as an installer attempts to lower the toilet onto the floor over the bolt. In implementations the shaft may selectively couple to and decouple from the bolt with threads located on an inner wall of a cylindrical opening in the shaft. In implementations the toilet installation guide may be configured to be installed and uninstalled by hand, before and after lowering the toilet to the floor, respectively, to be reused.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a stair assembly for a swimming pool comprising a top stair portion that is adapted to be securely attached to a bottom stair portion by means of a frame that connects the top and bottom stair portions. Weight support means, being a plurality of posts, are incorporated within the stair assembly to reinforce the assembly and provide equal weight distribution. Stair assembly support means, being front and rear tie bars, are securely attached underneath the bottom stair portion. A handrail is mounted on the stair assembly adapted to be attached to a deck of a swimming pool. The top and bottom stair portions are provided with securely-attached skirts. Top stair portion weight support means are securely mounted between the top stair portion and the frame, and the bottom stair portion weight support means are securely mounted between the frame and the front and rear tie bars.

The main body member includes a tubular mounting portion coupled to the outer surface of the neck portion through a connecting element, and a discharge portion extending from the lower portion of the mounting portion so as to be selectively opened.

Abstract: A combination patient-transfer and intraoperative heater has top and bottom chambers separated by a barrier. The patient rests on the top chamber, which has plural apertures for discharge of temperature-controlled heated or cooled air at regulated pressure. Heated or cooled air is delivered to the area surrounding the patient, maintaining body temperature during anesthesia. The bottom chamber has plural apertures. When air pressure is low or off, the bottom chamber is flat and un-inflated. When air pressure is increased, air enters the bottom chamber and the apertures emit air, creating an air cushion facilitating lateral movement of the lifter device. The device is light, flexible, easily stored, and preferably disposable, thereby reducing risk of infection and avoiding cleaning costs. The device performs two functions that now require separate devices and air blowers, it saves space and reduces both costs and complexity in the operating room.

Abstract: A fabric band to be placed around a bed pillow, to enhance comfort and hygiene. The band provides a covered space on each side of the pillow, where the user may rest a hand for greater comfort. Also, a smaller pillow may be placed between the first pillow and the fabric band, to provide more specific support for the head and face. The band may include a moisture-resistant layer to protect the pillow and/or pillow case from saliva. This improves hygiene, and prolongs the life of the pillow.

Proper support and spine alignment is provided by a shoulder portion of the pillow for the neck which may be formed of different material than the pillow.

Abstract: An anti-snoring massage pillow comprises a pillow body provided with a sound sensing unit, a control unit, an inflator unit, at least one exhaust unit and an air bag system including at least one air bag. When the user who lies on the pillow body snores, the sound of snoring will be sensed by the sound sensing unit, and then the control unit will drive the inflator unit to inflate the air bag system. After being inflated for a center period, the control unit will stop driving the inflator unit to inflate the air bag system, and the air in the air bag system will be exhausted through the exhaust unit. Abstract: A protective device for a castor includes a mounting ring, and a driving piece secured on the mounting ring. The mounting ring has an outer periphery formed with a breakable portion which is located beside the driving piece. The driving piece has a first end extending from the mounting ring and a second end formed with a pull tab. When the mounting ring is released by tearing the breakable portion, the mounting ring is directly driven by the driving piece to remove from each of the two rollers of the castor. Thus, the user only needs to apply a single action to pull the pull tab of the driving piece so as to remove the protective device from the castor completely so that the protective device can be removed from the castor easily and quickly.

Abstract: An adjustable hinge assembly for a glass door has a frame fastening device, a door clamping device and an adjustable device. The frame fastening device is mounted securely to a doorframe and has two pivot sections protruding from the frame fastening device. The door clamping device clamps a glass door. The adjustable device has two pins mounted between and respectively pressing against the pivot sections. Because two pins respectively press against the pivot sections, pressing forces provided by the pins are sufficient and the structure of the adjustable hinge assembly for a glass door is enhanced. Accordingly, to frequently adjust the position of the glass door relative to the doorframe is unnecessary.

Abstract: A hinge pin for pivotally connecting a door to a frame comprises a pin body extending along a pivot axis between first and second ends, and a grease nipple portion extending longitudinally from the first end of the pin body. The pin body has an outer bearing shaped to enable the door to pivot relative to the frame about the pivot axis, a cross-bore extending radially inward from the outer bearing surface into the pin body, and a longitudinal bore extending into the pin body from the first end to the cross-bore. The longitudinal bore and the cross-bore together form a lubrication passageway. The pin body also has coupling portions for coupling the pin body to the door and the frame. The grease nipple portion is shaped to be coupled to a grease applicator for injecting grease into the lubrication passageway and is integrally formed with the pin body.
