Abstract: A new electric broiler is disclosed. The broiler includes a housing having a cooking chamber, and a cooking surface in the housing. Upper and lower electrical heat sources are provided in the cooking chamber above and below the cooking surface. The lower heat source includes a removable heating module having an electric heating element and a quick connect/disconnect connector for quick electrical connection and disconnection of the electric heating element to and from a quick connect/disconnect connector on the housing. The broiler also includes a module holder on the housing for holding the removable heating module. The heating module is removable from the holder for quick replacement of the module.

Abstract: A heater assembly and a wafer processing apparatus using the same are provided. The heater assembly comprises a substrate, a heater, a reflector and a protective layer. The substrate has a top surface, a side surface surrounding the top surface and a trench formed on the top surface. The heater comprises a heater element accommodated within the trench and two electrodes respectively connecting two ends of the heater element and extending outside of the substrate. The reflector covers an inner surface of the trench. The protective layer covers the top surface, the side surface and the trench.

Abstract: An integrated circuit is provided having an active circuit. A heating element is adjacent to the active circuit and configured to heat the active circuit. A temperature sensor is also adjacent to the active circuit and configured to measure a temperature of the active circuit. A temperature controller is coupled to the active circuit and configured to receive a temperature signal from the temperature sensor. The temperature controller operates the heating element to heat the active circuit to maintain the temperature of the active circuit in a selected temperature range.

Abstract: A cartridge heater may include an elongated core assembly inside an elongated metal sheath having first and second ends and wherein the elongated metal sheath is made from at least one of aluminum alloy and copper alloy. The elongated core assembly includes a resistance heating element mounted to an elongated insulating core with electric leads extending outside the elongated metal sheath.

Abstract: A covering device for covering an area of an organic substrate, with a connecting zone between a closure cap and the substrate. It is proposed that the connecting zone includes, at least in certain areas, a heating element for heating the connecting zone during the creation of a connection between the closure cap and the substrate. Also provided is an organic substrate with a covering device and a production method for producing a covering device.

Abstract: An apparatus for magnetic induction hardening of a workpiece includes a magnetic tool having a body portion formed of a generally non-magnetic material. The body portion has a surface configured to be positioned in close proximity to the workpiece being hardened. The apparatus further includes a magnetic arrangement coupled to the body portion at or adjacent the surface of the body portion and configured to provide regions of alternating polarity. A workpiece holder is configured to support the workpiece in close proximity to the surface of the magnetic tool. A drive arrangement for rotating the magnetic tool relative to the workpiece holder about an axis of rotation is provided to induce heating of the workpiece to achieve a temperature in the austenitic range of the workpiece resulting in hardening of the workpiece through a microstructural transformation.

The packaging device includes a plurality of micro-perforations that may promote the extended shelf-life of the perishable food product and the maintenance of the quality of the perishable food product or be configured to maintain the integrity of a frozen food product. The packaging device also includes a venting system that allows the cooking of the perishable or frozen food products within the packaging device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wave choke system for an oven door of a microwave oven. The wave choke system comprises an elongated channel (10) provided for an outer portion of the oven door and an elongated cover sheet (12) covering partially the width of an open longitudinal side of said channel (10). The cover sheet (12) includes a plurality of slots (14) extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the cover sheet (12). The slot (14) includes an open end at a longitudinal edge of the cover sheet (12) and a closed end on the opposite side of said open end, a broadening (20) in a central portion of the slot (14), a first small portion (16) between the open end and the broadening (20) and a second small portion (18) between the broadening (20) and the closed end. The slots (14) are reciprocal intersected, so that the contours of the slots (14) and intermediate pieces (40) between the slots (14) are formed complementarily to each other.

Abstract: A container for shipping and storing flowable materials includes generally planar walls that form or enclose a generally-box shaped vessel for holding flowable material. The container includes a plurality of corner fittings and optionally a plurality of connecting members that provide a frame structure to support the corner fittings. The corner fittings enable the container to be lifted and to be secured to a transport platform, transport vehicle, and/or another container. The vessel walls may be composed of a material that is not as strong or as dense as the material that forms the corner fittings and/or connecting members. The vessel walls may be corrugated and/or include a support structure overlaid on their exterior surface to increase the strength of the walls. The vessel interior may contain baffles to reduce sloshing and increase the strength of the vessel walls.

The containers have flexible walls joining stiff top and bottom panels with optional intervening compartments in which each compartment typically has a floor panel. At least one hole through the center of the top and bottom panels is aligned and a connector passed through the aligned holes to connect the panels of two different containers together so the lower container hangs from the upper container along the longitudinal axis. A hanger, usually with a hook, passes through the hole in the top panel so the connected containers can be hung from a closet pole.

The aerosol valve assembly is operated to allow the pressurized propellant material to force the texture material out of the main container through the outlet opening defined by the outlet assembly. The texture material forced out of the main container is deposited on the target surface in the desired pattern.

Abstract: An automatic dispensing apparatus for dispensing hand-sanitizer lotion, which is powered using a rechargeable battery pack rechargeable via solar cells, which battery pack is pivotally mounted in the upper interior section of the main frame of the dispenser, above the liquid-storage bag, whereby as the liquid storage bag is depleted after continual use, the weight of the battery pack serves to compress the storage bag to thereby increase the pressure therein, so that the delay of the dispensing of the liquid does not increase over time as the bag becomes depleted. Also provided is a lower, pivotal tray located below the dispensing nozzle of the dispensing apparatus by which drippings and excess dispensed amounts are caught by the tray and do not fall upon the floor therebelow. A front cover is rotatable to an upper position such that it does not rotate back down by itself in order to allow unencumbered access to the interior of the apparatus for changing storage bags and batteries.

A beer storage barrel switching device (12) uninterruptedly supplies beer by switching between beer storage barrels (21-1, 21-2). A first connection tube (23-1) is provided with a fluid stopper device (31-1) including a loop section. The fluid stopper device (31-1) switches between a suppliable state in which it is possible to supply the beer to a dispenser (11) through the first connection tube (23-1) and a non-suppliable state in which it is not possible to supply the beer. Using the fluid stopper device (31-1) eliminates the need to provide a conventional valve in the middle of the first connection tube (23-1), the conventional valve having a structural element which comes in direct contact with the beer. Accordingly, the case that a cleaning member, such as a sponge, is caught by the valve does not occur, and this enables the inner wall of the first connection tube (23-1) to be cleaned using the cleaning member.

Abstract: An apparatus for impregnating liners with epoxy resin and the curing agents therefor includes an epoxy resin tank having a first discharge pipe with a first pump and a curing agent tank having a second discharge pipe with a second pump. Each discharge pipe leads through a flowmeter device. A control unit processes signals from the flowmeter devices with the amount of resin flow used being a control variable. The control unit, where the desired mixing ratio can be set as a parameter, sets or readjusts the pump for the curing agent tank to a precise amount of curing agent needed. A three-way valve is included in each of the epoxy resin and curing agent discharge pipes downstream from the pumps and the flowmeter devices. From each three-way valve, a conduit leads back into a corresponding tank and a further conduit leads to the mixing nozzle.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing gel for use with a medical device comprising a storage container for storing a quantity of gel, a pump for delivering gel to a user, a first delivery conduit connected to the outlet of the storage container and the inlet of the pump, and a second delivery conduit connected to the outlet of the pump on one end and having a second end terminating at a location near the patient. The apparatus includes a heat source positioned proximal to the storage container for warming the gel so that is at a comfortable temperature when it is applied to a patient.

Abstract: A modular chemical dispensing system includes a plurality of rail members combining to define a wall-mounted grid for supporting dispensing and chemical source modules. The grid is easily secured to a wall and the modules moved laterally onto the grid with rotatable locks securing the modules to the rails. Chemical source modules have lockable doors preventing unauthorized access to chemicals therein and preventing unauthorized module removal. A variety of module configurations are provided, reducing inventories of custom parts. Methods are disclosed.

In addition, the space between the fixing cap and the receiving chamber is disposed at a vacuum state by the piston to prevent the cream from contacting the ambient air.

Abstract: A package for enabling the dispensing a flowable material therefrom by use of dispensing apparatus, e.g., a soft drink making machine. The package is in the form of a flexible bag having wall portions defining an internal cavity and a fitment secured to at least one wall portion. The fitment is arranged to receive a probe of the dispensing apparatus to pump the contents of the package through the fitment. The fitment includes an anti-blocking member which prevents the walls of the package from collapsing to block the fitment when the contents of the package are pumped out. The fitment also includes a valve which is normally closed and which opens upon the creation of negative pressure within the fitment as occasioned by the operation of the pumping mechanism.

Abstract: A sealable pourer for mounting on a bottle. The sealable pourer includes a cap to ensure that the pouring nozzle and air tube outlet are sealed, or otherwise closed, when in a first position of the cap and allow free flow of the liquid content of the bottle when in a second position. In one embodiment, the cap is rotated about a symmetry axis of the nozzle to achieve sealing of both the air passage and the pouring nozzle.

Lock portion also comprises a first substantially vertical piece formed on a first side of surface area, a second substantially vertical piece formed on a second side of surface area, and a substantially horizontal piece formed at a bottom of the first substantially vertical piece and the second substantially vertical piece. Surface area, first substantially vertical piece, second substantially vertical piece, and the substantially horizontal piece form a latched opening.

One fluid nozzle system embodiment includes a body having a series of sections that can be individually changed between an expandable and collapsible state to allow the body to lengthened, shortened, or curved and a fluid flow lumen formed in the body from a first end to a second end; the first end having an opening into the lumen and having a portion configured to receive a cap thereon; and a size adapter attached to the collar, the size adapter being configured to attach to a portion of a body of a fluid storage container having an opening for pouring a fluid out of the container.

Abstract: The combination of molded plastic closure for an open top container and an extensible plastic spout adapted to be joined to the deck of the closure in either of two ways. In one way, the spout is molded with a U-shaped peripheral channel which receives a downwardly extending flange surrounding an aperture in the deck. In another way, the spout is pre-molded and then used as an insert when molding the closure.

Abstract: A manually extendible plastic spout for use in combination with the closure for an industrial container. The spout has a peripheral flange with a U-shaped channel which receives a downwardly extending flange on the closure so that the spout is installed from the bottom side of the closure rather than according to the more customary top-mounted procedure. The body of the spout is pleated and has an outlet collar which is threaded to receive a cap having a pull-ring, an integral internal seal is also provided. The spout can be extended to any of several stable positions or conditions.

Abstract: An assistance device for removing a patient only by one assistant and includes an enclosed main part which is mounted on one shoulder of the assistant and supports the patient's body between thigh and hip. A fastening member is movably connected to the main part and has an adjustment device which adjustably encloses the fastening member to fasten to the patient's leg. An assistance member is connected to the main part and a holding portion is connected to a distal end of the assistance member. The assistant holds the hold portion and support the weight of the patient by the main part to move the patient.
