Abstract: There is provided a method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor including: forming a conductive polymer layer on a surface of a metal pellet; and forming a dielectric layer between the metal pellet and the conductive polymer layer. Because the conductive polymer layer is directly formed on the surface of the metal pellet, the conductive polymer layer can be uniformly formed, and because there is no need to form an electrode on the surface of the dielectric layer, the process can be reduced. In addition, because the uniform polymer film is formed irrespective of the size of metal pores and the shape of the capacitor, a capacity of the capacitor can be maximized.

Abstract: In a method of working a film cooling hole which communicates with an internal cooling passage of a turbine blade from an outer surface, in the turbine blade which has a heat shield coating and the internal cooling passage, there is employed a method of working a cooling hole of a turbine including a step of executing a bond coat on a blade base material a step of piercing a cooling hole in accordance with an electric discharge machining, a step of executing a top coat, and a step of removing the top coat in accordance with a mechanical method with respect to a band-like region including a row of cooling holes, by using an abrasive blasting, a water jet method or the like. Accordingly, an occlusion of the cooling hole, and a damage of the TBC due to the piercing are hardly generated.

Abstract: A hair cutting device has a stationary blade, a reciprocating blade and a rotary motor. The reciprocating blade has a cam follower in contact with the top surface of the reciprocating blade, and a slot for receiving a cam. The cam is secured to the motor shaft on one end, and has an offset pin on the other end. The offset pin fits in the cam follower slot so that when the motor rotates the cam through rotational cycles, the offset pin oscillates the reciprocating blade back and forth. The offset pin extends at least to or through the plane of the reciprocating blade for the entire rotational cycle of the offset pin, which reduces torque and twisting of the reciprocating blade.

Abstract: A cutting tool for a pipe of specific diameter comprises a generally cylindrical body 1 defining a central bore 10 extending along an axis. The body is divided into two axially spaced half portions 2A and 2B which together clamp a cutting blade 8 projecting into the bore 10. The body has a progressively narrowing slot 12 extending from its outer circumference to the bore. At the bore 10 the width of the slot 12 is narrower than the diameter of the bore. One side of the slot 12 is flexibly resilient to flex away when a pipe of diameter equal to the bore is pushed along the slot into the bore and to resile when the pipe has entered the bore, urging the pipe against the blade so that subsequent relative rotation between the tool and pipe will cause the pipe to be severed.

Abstract: A dust collecting vacuum hose attachment has a unitary, hollow, tubular body member. One end of an elongated cutting blade is secured within the body member and the second end extends out of the body member. A dust collection shroud is removeably attached to the upper end of the body member for the collection of dust created by use of the saw blade through a dust creating material such as wood, drywall, etc. The lower end of the body member utilizes a connection fitting for attachment to a vacuum hose, which in turn is connected to a vacuum source. Dust created during sawing is collected and accumulated within the shroud by the suction provided by the vacuum source. The dust in turn is sucked through the body member, into a vacuum hose, and then to the vacuum source. The shroud is removeable from the body member in favor of a rasp component which collects and accumulates created dust which is also discharged by means of a vacuum source.

Abstract: A revolutionary, new sizing and fitting system for jeans is based on the concept of shape, not size. This sizing and fitting system is organized around some basic body shapes categories: e.g., slight curve (straighter figure, flatter fanny), demi curve (evenly proportioned hip and seat) and bold curve (smaller waist, larger seat). To use the system, the consumer finds their shape using a shape measuring tool. The shape measuring tool calculates a shape category based on a differential of two measurements in the seat area. With this shape category information, the consumer can easily locate a pair of form-fitting jeans. The sizing and fitting system is also applicable to pants, shorts, skirts, and other clothing where form fit is desirable in the seat and hip area.
