Abstract: A variety of rose plant of the shrub class, named ‘AUStobias’. The ‘AUStobias’ rose is a plant suitable for repeat flowering production having flowers with buds that start as rounded cups with larger outer petals, enclosing numerous smaller petals within, and that open into perfect rose pink rosette-shaped flowers, with the outer petals forming a perfectly-rounded rim in the form of a saucer. The plant habit of the rose is relatively upright but quite bushy and compact. Initially the fragrance of the flowers is soft myrrh, and as the flower ages it becomes more fruity with a distinct clove character.

Abstract: A new and distinct Boxwood plant is provided that originated as a mutation of unknown causation while growing among a block of vegetatively propagated Buxus sempervirens plants in a plant nursery. The new cultivar readily can be distinguished from other plants of the Buxus sempervirens species in view of its more rapid growth rate and upright pyramidal habit. Attractive deep green foliage is formed which well retains its coloration throughout the year in the absence of any substantial color change during the winter. Excellent winter hardiness to at least U.S.D.A. Hardiness Zone No. 5 is displayed. The plant is well suited for consistently providing attractive ornamentation in the landscape.

Abstract: A plant variety of the Helichrysum family resulting from a controlled crossing of the varieties of Helichrysum bracteatum ‘Harvest Fire’, the subject of a currently pending U.S. patent application, and Helichrysum bracteatum×splendidum ‘Raspberry’, the subject of U.S. Plant Pat. No. 19,929. The outermost involucral bracts of the bud appear as RHS 64 B (red-purple group). The rest of the bracts have an overall appearance of RHS 58 A (red-purple group). The tips of the outer bracts are RHS 187 A (greyed-purple group). The new variety also possesses the commercially desirable characteristics of hardy and attractive leaves and has generally good post harvest characteristics.

Abstract: A system for purifying exhaust gas generated by an internal combustion engine including a bypass branching out from the exhaust pipe downstream of a catalyst and merging to the exhaust pipe, an adsorber installed in the bypass, a bypass valve member which closes the bypass, and an EGR conduit connected to the bypass at one end and connected to the air intake system for recirculating the exhaust gas to the air intake system. The bypass valve member is opened for a period after engine startup to introduce the exhaust gas such that the adsorber installed in the bypass adsorbs the unburnt HC component in the exhaust gas. The adsorber adsorbs the HC component when the exhaust temperature rises and the adsorbed component is recirculated to the air intake system through the EGR conduit. In the system, the bypass valve is provided at or close to the branching point in the exhaust pipe and a chamber is provided close to the branching point such that the conduit is connected to the bypass at the one end in the chamber.

To-be-printed data accessed through a network or setup command data for setting up a printer environment received from a user is transformed into to-be-printed extensible markup language (XML) data or setup command XML data, respectively. The to-be-printed XML data or the setup command XML data is transmitted to the printer. The to-be-printed XML data or the setup command XML data is interpreted via the virtual machine applet to execute printing or to set up the printer. Accordingly, data written in various kinds of languages on the Internet can be transmitted to and printed by a printer without installing a printer driver in a computer or a mobile communication apparatus like a PDA. Also, a desired printer setup by a user can be achieved without a printer driver.

Abstract: A compact photographic lens for a digital camera is disclosed. The photographic lens has only two lens elements, yet provides excellent imaging even at the periphery of the image field. The photographic lens of the invention and an image sensor, together, fit within a volume of about 10 cm3. The lens is formed of, in order from the object side, a biconvex lens element having two aspherical surfaces, and a negative meniscus lens element having two aspherical surfaces. The convex surface of the meniscus lens element is positioned on the image side, and various conditions are satisfied in order to provide the photographic lens with a short overall length while favorably correcting various aberrations.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for delivering information, preferably electronic television program guide information, to a user over a telecommunications network. The network includes the capability of determining whether the user's connection to the network is in an on-hook or off-hook condition, and the information is received and stored at a user site when the user's connection to the network is in an on-hook condition. Information is delivered from a guide provider to a phone company switch point over a land-based or wireless dedicated line. When the user's phone is on-hook, the guide data is sent to the user site through a splitter. The line splitter provides the signal to a data decoder circuit, the output of which is connected to a data input terminal in communication with a television receiver, VCR, cable box, or other piece of equipment for displaying the program guide data on a screen.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for a headset that may be used in an audio system used in a magnetic field. In one aspect, the system includes an inner set portion adapted to fit into an ear canal. A pneumatic port is disposed in the hole to couple audible sounds to the ear canal. The system may include a non-magnetic transducer coupled to the pneumatic port. The system also may include a fiber-optic microphone to couple sound from a user of the headset. Other techniques provide a stethoscope-type yoke to couple the pneumatic port and the fiber-optic antenna to the non-magnetic transducer.

The fitting also includes a male end portion configured to engage female threads on the hub of the receptacle. The male end portion can include threads or alternately a flange. The adapter strengthens and rigidifies the receptacle, and allows the medical instrument to be aggressively manipulated, with less chance of damage to the receptacle and fluid leakage therefrom. In an alternate embodiment adapter, the tapered post of the receptacle is removed to provide an enlarged opening for the receptacle. The enlarged opening permits fluids, tissue and cells to be transferred with less damage and less resistance.

In case there is the one who wishes sale of the editing scenario, its utilization right is sold by auction.

Abstract: In a data processing system in which main and sub disk storage devices are under the control of individual each disk control devices, the write processing time is reduced by selectively sending data according to the command-chaining time between main and sub disk control devices. A section for judging cable length and function of the sub disk control device 36 estimates command-chaining time between a pair of main and sub disk storage devices. The channel command analyzing section 31 estimates the number of records to be transferred and the length of a record using a LOCATE RECORD command. The command judgment section for the sub disk control device 32 optimizes the command-chain to be issued to the sub disk control device using the above-mentioned information. Then, the section for issuing command to the sub disk control device 35 issues the optimized command chain. Thus, a shorter transmission time is realized by either sending individual records or an entire track of data.

The accompanying vest is formed of a torso portion with a pair of separable sleeves extending therefrom. A plurality of weight pockets are positioned on the front and rear of the torso portion and each sleeve. The holder is reversibly attached to the helmet by means of a two component heavy duty interlock fastener system.

The cup includes an attachment location in a lower portion to secure a first end of a strap. The coupling mechanism is provided having a first portion on the strap and a second portion disposed in a rear portion of the undergarment proximate to the waistband. In use, the strap extends between the legs portions so that the first portion and the second portion of the coupling mechanism can couple in a secure manner to inhibit displacement of the cup when exposed to upward forces.
