Abstract: A gear housing for a motor is fixed to a motor main body driving a rotary shaft. The gear housing contains a worm wheel and a worm connected to the rotary shaft. Three mounting feet to be fixed to a mounting member are formed at intervals and protrude from a first side surface of the gear housing. A bulge portion bulges outward on the first side surface of the gear housing to expand the internal space. The bulge portion has side walls, which are installed to protrude from the outer side surface constituting the side walls of the bulge portion, and an upper wall, which connects the distal ends in the protruding direction of the side walls. The three mounting feet are connected by the side walls and the upper wall.

Abstract: A method for making a robot pivot arm assembly includes forming from a rigid, machinable material a circular disk, and forming a circular aperture through the center of the disk. An outer bearing track is formed integrally in the inside surface which defines the aperture, and the apertured disk is positioned in a machining device with a fixturing portion that engages the outer bearing track. An integral outer race, an arm and a gear segment with teeth are then machined into the disk to form the outer portion of the pivot arm assembly. An inner race with an inner bearing track is positioned inside the integral outer race, and rolling bearing elements are inserted into the first and second bearing tracks.

Abstract: A mechanism for actuating a transmission having shifting elements. A self-holding valve device is movable into a first position, by a pilot pressure, against a force directed to a second position and held by a pressure holding signal in the first position. Transmission of a pressure signal, to a switching valve, is blocked by the self-holding valve device in the first position but, in the second position, is applied to the switching valve. When the driver sets the switching valve to a first shift position, the pressure signal can be applied to valve devices of at least two of the shifting elements that produce an actuating pressure and, in a second shift position of the switching valve, the onward transmission of the pressure signal, to the valve devices of the shifting elements that produce an actuating pressure, is blocked in the area of the switching valve.
