Patent number: RE43782Abstract: A wiring line to which a high-frequency signal is applied is electrically connected in parallel to an auxiliary wiring line via a plurality of contact holes. The contact holes are formed through an interlayer insulating film and arranged in vertical direction to the wiring line. Since the auxiliary wiring line is formed in the same layer as an electrode that constitutes a TFT, the electric resistance of the wiring line can be reduced effectively and waveform rounding of an applied high-frequency signal can be reduced without increasing the number of manufacturing steps.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2004Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Assignee: Semiconductor Energy Laboratory Co., Ltd.Inventors: Jun Koyama, Hisashi Ohtani, Yasushi Ogata, Shunpei Yamazaki

Patent number: RE43783Abstract: A secondary cell featuring a transient rise in temperature once charged to saturation is coupled and thereby forms a composite structure with a charging assembly by mutual engagement of conductive contacts provided on either part. The force of union generated by the coupling compresses a thermosetting prestressed means which is a spring or other prestressed element the coupling brings the contacts into conduction to initiate charging. The stress is released once charging in the secondary cell reaches its saturation, followed by cutoff of the charging current to the secondary cell.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2009Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Inventor: Tai-Her Yang

Patent number: RE43784Abstract: To optimize in advance a desired image quality determining pulse sequence parameter incorporated in an imaging scan, a preparation scan is adopted. The preparation scan is performed with the amount of at least one desired image quality parameter changed for each of plural preparatory images, so that a plurality of preparatory images at the desired same region of the object are acquired. For example, one such image quality parameter is TI (inversion time). The acquired preparatory scan data are processed into a plurality of preparatory images for display. A desired preparatory image is then selected from the plural preparatory images displayed, and the amount of the desired parameter used for that selected preparatory image is then set for use in the pulse sequence for a complete diagnostic imaging scan. Hence the desired image quality determining parameter of the pulse sequence is caused to have an optimum value before an actual complete diagnostic imaging scan.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2011Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha ToshibaInventors: Mitsue Miyazaki, Hiroshi Takai

Patent number: RE43787Abstract: In view of the fact that a limited storage area of a facsimile memory cannot store a large amount of data necessary to operate and manage the facsimile machine, a hard disk of a personal computer connected to the facsimile machine is used for storing such a large amount of data. For example, an application software needed for achieving a certain function of the facsimile machine is supplied from a service station managed by a manufacturer of the facsimile machine and is downloaded and installed in a hard disk of the personal computer. An example of the function is a scheduled/delayed transmission for scheduling a time of facsimile transmission at a specific time or after a certain period of time has passed. As far as the facsimile machine and the personal computer are connected, other kinds of data, such as help list data and facsimile transaction information, are stored in the hard disk of the personal computer.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2011Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Assignee: Brother Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Noriko Matsumoto, Kiyotsugu Takiguchi, Tetsuya Ouchi

Patent number: RE43788Abstract: An optical disk structure and optical disk recorder which enables data to be re-written onto the recording layer of the optical disk. A clock reference structure is permanently formed along servo tracks of the optical disk. An optical transducer is coupled to the clock reference structure and generates a clock reference signal simultaneously with writing new data onto the recording layer of the optical disk. The data is written as data marks along the servo tracks. Each of the data marks includes edges. The edges of the data marks are recorded in synchronization with a write clock. The write clock is phase-locked with the clock reference signal. Therefore, the edges of the data marks are aligned with the clock reference structure with sub-bit accuracy. Standard DVD-ROM disk readers are not able to detect the high spatial frequency of the clock reference structure.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2010Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Daniel Y. Patent number: RE43789Abstract: Disclosed are an SIP-based user mobility service providing apparatus and method using user position information obtained by a sensing apparatus. When a user enters a specific region, a gateway including a sensing management module carries out SIP registration for several terminals existing in the specific region in place of user agents of the terminals. The sensing management module transmits an SIP registration message to an SIP proxy server and notifies the terminals of the completion of SIP registration. Then, the user receives a call using the same kind of a terminal as a specific terminal previously set on the basis of a user's preferences among the terminals in the specific region.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2011Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Assignee: Pantech Co., Ltd.Inventors: Eun-Hee Hyun, Young-Jick Bahg

Patent number: RE43795Abstract: The present invention provides a method of pretreating a sample containing a glycated amine as an analyte, thereby enabling highly reliable measurement of a glycated amine. A glycated amino acid in the sample is degraded by causing a fructosyl amino acid oxidase (FAOD) to act thereon, and thereafter, a FAOD further is caused to act on the glycated amine as the analyte in the sample to cause a redox reaction. The amount of the glycated amine is determined by measuring the redox reaction. The substrate specificity of the FAOD caused to act on the glycated amino acid may be either the same as or different from that of the FAOD caused to act on the glycated amine. When using the same FAOD, a FAOD is caused to act on the glycated amino acid to degrade it, and thereafter, the sample is treated with a protease to inactivate the FAOD and also to degrade the glycated amine.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2002Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Assignee: ARKRAY, Inc.Inventors: Satoshi Yonehara, Tsuguki Komori
