Abstract: According to the present invention there is provided a stud 1 which is suitable for securing to a shoe, the stud 1 comprising, a base member 3; a securing means 5 which extends from the base member 3, which is suitable for securing the stud 1 to a shoe; and a stud-body 7 which extends from the base member 3, wherein the stud-body 7 has a tapered profile and wherein the stud-body 7 is configured to comprise at least eight sides 9 to optimise the rotatability and gripping ability of the stud.

Abstract: An excavator implement attachment system can include a tooth having a pocket formed therein, an insert received in a recess formed in an adaptor nose and a threaded fastener which releasably secures the tooth on the nose, the fastener having a helical thread formed thereon which is eccentric relative to a fastener body. A tooth can include a pocket with at least one side wall which has an insert-receiving recess and generally planar insert-engaging interface surfaces formed therein, with one interface surface resisting rotation of the tooth about a longitudinal axis in one direction, and another interface surface resisting rotation of the tooth about the longitudinal axis in an opposite direction. An excavator tooth can include a pocket bounded by opposing side walls, with at least one of the side walls having an insert-receiving recess internally formed thereon, whereby the recess receives an insert installed in an adaptor nose.

Abstract: An excavator tooth assembly comprises a first wear member and a second wear member. The second wear member is releasably mountable on the first wear member. The first wear member has a lock face. The second wear member also has a lock face. The lock face of the first wear member opposes the lock face of the second wear to define a lock passage therebetween when the second wear member is mounted on the first wear member. The excavator tooth assembly includes a lock pin which is adapted to be received in the lock passage to releasably secure the second wear member to the first wear member.

Abstract: An improved structure of bucket tooth for construction tools includes an adapter and a bucket tooth mounted on the adapter. The adapter has an accommodating room and a fixing section. Both side of the bucket tooth have a hole, respectively. An engaging unit is disposed at the accommodating room and the fixing section of the adapter and between the holes of the bucket tooth. The engaging unit includes a lock, an elastic element, and a fixing element. The end of the lock protruding from the accommodating room has an outer angle facing the fixing part to urge against the inner angle in the corresponding hole of the bucket tooth. The lock can thus position the bucket tooth on the adapter and maintains no impact gap between them. When the engaging unit loses its effect, the fixing element prevents the bucket tooth from falling off the adapter.

The first wear member includes a boss extending outwardly from one of its opposite sides. The second wear member is mounted adjacent the first wear member. The second wear member includes a socket in one of its sides. The socket is adapted to receive the boss of the first wear member. The second wear member includes a retaining pin passage in communication with the socket. The retaining pin is removably located in the retaining pin passage. The retaining pin has a first bearing face adapted to oppose and engage a face of the boss received in the socket and a second bearing face which bears against a load bearing face of the retaining pin passage.

Abstract: Three-dimensional lightweight foam greeting cards are described herein having a foam body with a perimeter wall that extends between two spaced apart parallel pieces of planar sheet material such as heavy gauge paper, cardboard, or other such material. The greeting cards have a partially hollowed foam body or one or more cavities in the foam body concealed in the front and back by the planar sheet material which may be pre-cut in the shape of the foam body are decorated consistent with the design of the foam body. The cavities in the foam body may contain various electronic components that enable the greeting card to produce sound, record and playback a personalized message, trigger light activation, trigger the movement of moveable parts, display digital video, photographs or slideshows, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: The present invention and related disclosure describes greeting cards with moving elements or devices which are operable to create motion in connection with some portion of the greeting card. The greeting card may include a multi-panel greeting card body or a three-dimensional foam greeting card body. At least one movable object is contained upon or within the greeting card body. A sound module having at least one pre-recorded digital audio file saved therein and a motor module are contained and concealed within the greeting card body. One or more switches may be used to activate the sound and motor modules, causing the pre-recorded audio file to play and causing movement of the movable or mobile object.

The photoluminescent device includes a polymer matrix having a light-emitting exterior surface for emission of photoluminescent light therefrom. The photoluminescent device has a plurality of UV or visible-light excited phosphor particles included in the polymer matrix. The phosphor particles have a concentration greater in an exterior region of the polymer matrix proximate the light-emitting exterior surface than in an interior region of the polymer matrix. The exit sign includes at least two plates interlocked together with at least one typographical character disposed on the plates. The typographical character is formed from the polymer matrix containing the phosphor particles.

Abstract: The invention comprises improved designs in a recoil control device comprising a bolt and slider for use in a variety of firearms. In one embodiment, the bolt and slider are articulated so that the displacement of the bolt results in a force component accompanying the slider as it moves along a slider path that traverses a line formed by a linear firing axis of the barrel of the firearm. The slider can have additional structural and functional features, including stabilizing features, vibrational damping elements, elements of the fire control mechanism, and devices to manage the peak impulse of the slider movement as it contacts a base or terminus point.

Abstract: A muzzle loading firearm has a barrel with a bore on a bore axis, and has a muzzle end and a breech end. A frame is connected to the barrel, and has a breech face. The frame moves between an open position in which the breech face is away from the breech end of the barrel, and a closed position in which the breech face abuts the breech end of the barrel. A breech plug is removably attached to the barrel, and is connected to the barrel by way of interrupted, or multistart threads, or locking lugs. The breech plug may have a rear face that abuts the breech face when the frame is closed, so that a primer contained in a primer pocket in the rear of the breech plug is fully supported on all sides.

Abstract: A rifle assembly includes a central chassis having a vertically aligned opening and a pair of slots extending from the sidewalls into the opening. An action has a pair of projections engageable with the at slots in the chassis and is removably securable within the chassis. The action is insertable into and removable from above the chassis, with the action axis at an angle to the chassis axis, to engage the respective action and chassis slot and projection. The action is rotatable with respect to the chassis upon engagement of the respective action and chassis slot and projection to align the axes of the action and chassis and lock the action to the chassis against rotation and removal. A resilient material is disposed between the chassis and action to load the action to the chassis with a force in excess of recoil force of the action.

Abstract: An artificial reflection or dark shadow to be used in avian or animal attracting activities is disclosed. The artificial reflection or shadow may be used by itself or attached as to a floating waterfowl decoy which simulates the colored reflection off of the water or the dark shadow as a live bird would have. The decoy reflection and shadow can be used either floating on the water surface or by itself. The Reflection and Shadow can be of varying lengths and widths to simulate the shadow and/or reflection at differing times of the day and at different sun potions. The Reflection and Shadow could be of the entire aerial view of the bird or just a side view.

Abstract: A pole with a device on one end thereof is adapted to hook or grab a line that is attached to a jug or noodle to allow the user to pull in the jug or noodle without having to lean over the side of a boat and physically grab the jug or noodle from the water. The pole of the present invention will allow all anglers, including the young, elderly and others, to enjoy the fun, action and excitement of jug fishing without the fear of losing one's balance when retrieving the jug or noodle.

The front, lower or tail portion of the body is provided with a plate holder having a ring at the end, said ring passing with a gap through two openings which are divided by a crosspiece and are arranged in the middle part of the plate on the vertical or horizontal axis at equal proximity to the center of symmetry thereof. The lateral portions of the plate are symmetrically convex (curved) relative to the vertical axis. The plate is fastened in an articulated manner to the ring and can be inclined in different planes from a central position perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the lure, with the convex (curved) lateral portions of the plate being pointed forward in the direction of the lure movement.

Abstract: A note pad is attached to a device having a handle and a base. Kinetic force is applied through the device to stun or crush a target pest between a top sheet of the note pad and a wall or floor. The top sheet does not have previously applied adhesive for trapping insects, and hence does not generally adhere to the wall or floor. The note pad top sheet can be removed, wrapped around the target's remains, and placed in a wastebasket for disposal.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a packaged terminal device for killing pests in an affected area includes a housing configured to be positioned at least partially within an affected area, a fan positioned within the housing, and one or more heating elements positioned within the housing. The fan is operable to draw a flow of air from the affected area into the housing. The one or more heating elements are operable to generate heated air by transferring heat to the flow of air. The packaged terminal device further includes a control unit operable to control the operation of the one or more heating elements in order to cause the packaged terminal device to operate in either a first mode or a second mode. In the first mode, the operation of the one or more heating elements is controlled such that sufficient heated air is generated to heat at least a portion of the affected area to a temperature less than or equal to a first predefined temperature.

Abstract: A process is disclosed for converting lignocellulosic material to liquid fuels. In the process the cellulose is dissolved in an Ionic Liquid. The conversion process may comprise pyrolysis, thermal cracking, hydrocracking, catalytic cracking, hydrotreatment, or a combination thereof. Undissolved lignin is removed from the Ionic Liquid medium, and is converted in a separate conversion process. The Ionic Liquid preferably is an inorganic molten salt hydrate.

Abstract: A method for upgrading pyrolysis oil into a hydrocarbon fuel involves obtaining a quantity of pyrolysis oil, separating the pyrolysis oil into an organic phase and an aqueous phase, and then upgrading the organic phase into a hydrocarbon fuel by reacting the organic phase with hydrogen gas using a catalyst. The catalyst used in the reaction includes a support material, an active metal and a zirconia promoter material. The support material may be alumina, silica gel, carbon, silicalite or a zeolite material. The active metal may be copper, iron, nickel or cobalt. The zirconia promoter material may be zirconia itself, zirconia doped with Y, zirconia doped with Sc and zirconia doped with Yb.

Abstract: A liquid fuel composition is provided containing: (a) a base fuel suitable for use in an internal combustion engine; (b) a first fuel additive selected from one or more viscosity control agents having: (i) a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 27 cSt or less; and (ii) a NOACK volatility at 250° C. of 100% wt or less; and (c) a second fuel additive selected from one or more friction modifiers. Fuelling such liquid fuel composition in an internal combustion engine improves the fuel economy performance of an internal combustion engine.

A representative secondary contacting zone is a secondary absorption zone, such as a finishing zone for subsequent contacting of the vapor effluent from the primary contacting zone to further remove impurities and achieve a desired purity of purified gas exiting the secondary absorption zone. The secondary contacting zone is disposed below the primary contacting zone, such that the secondary contacting zone, which must operate efficiently in removing generally trace amounts of remaining impurities, is more protected from movement than the more elevated, primary or initial contacting stages for bulk impurity removal. The apparatuses are therefore especially beneficial in offshore applications where they are subjected to rocking.

Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a process of reforming a natural gas stream by steam. The reforming is carried out at a temperature within a predetermined range to form a substantially carbon monoxide free product mixture of hydrogen and natural gas. The reforming is carried out in presence of a nickel-based catalyst. The temperature is controlled in a range of about 350° C. to about 390° C. The reforming can be started or stopped or its rate can be varied, based on an outflow demand of the product mixture of hydrogen and natural gas.

Either the right or left side wall serves as a door to allow the hunter access to enter the blind. The other side wall is rigidly connected to the seat to add stability to the enclosure. The hunter can place the blind pre-season in the middle of a field, for example, which can increase shot opportunities by providing the hunter with an expansive field of view. The component parts of the blind are generally lightweight, and the blind can therefore be easily transported and assembled in the field.

Abstract: A transportable drilling rig having a self-elevating drill floor includes a base structure comprising multiple base towers that can be transported to a wellsite and positioned around an intended wellbore location. A horizontal base frame is installed between lower regions of the towers to form a stable rig base structure, and a drill floor can then be constructed over the base frame and between the base towers. A suitable rig mast can then be erected on the drill floor. Floor-lifting cables are anchored to upper regions of the base towers and disposable around corresponding sheave assemblies associated with the drill floor. The free ends of the floor-lifting cables can be engaged by the traveling block in the rig mast, whereupon the rig's drawworks can be actuated to elevate the drill floor and mast as required and then locked to the base towers.
