Abstract: A system for monitoring a machine includes a memory device operatively coupled with a processor. The memory device stores a plurality of operational measurements of the machine and is programmed with computer instructions that instruct the processor to record a first plurality of operational measurements of the machine, perform a full spectrum analysis thereof, and generate a first full spectrum data set therefrom. The instructions also instruct the processor to transmit the first full spectrum data set to a model stored within the memory device. The instructions further instruct the processor to determine variations between the first full spectrum data set and a second full spectrum data set. The second full spectrum data set is different from the first full spectrum data set.

Abstract: System and method for testing a high speed data path without generating a high speed bit clock, includes selecting a first high speed data path from a plurality of data paths for testing. Coherent clock data patterns are driven on one or more of remaining data paths of the plurality of data paths, wherein the coherent clock data patterns are in coherence with a low speed base clock. The first high speed data path is sampled by the coherent clock data patterns to generate a sampled first high speed data path, which is then tested at a speed of the low speed base clock.

Abstract: Provided is a signal processing apparatus configured to calculate an angle of a detection point corresponding to an object on the basis of received signals of a plurality of array antennas. A beat signal is generated by a difference between a transmitted signal and a received signal. Digital data is derived through AD conversion of the beat signal. The digital data is divided into a plurality of data groups. A fast Fourier transform is performed on the data groups to acquire a plurality of transformed data corresponding to the number of the data groups. The transformed data are divided into a plurality of sets, correlation matrices for the respective sets are acquired, and an average value of the correlation matrices is calculated. The angle of the detection point is calculated on the basis of the average value of the correlation matrices.

Abstract: An improved Modal Assurance Criterion for comparing two mode shapes obtained from modal analysis of a multi-component structure is disclosed. In one embodiment, a first mode shape vector and second mode shape vector for a first mode shape and second mode shape of the multi-component structure, respectively, are formed by grouping modal displacement at each node associated with each component in the multi-component structure. Further, modal assurance criterion (MAC) between the first mode shape vector and second mode shape vector is computed by dividing a square of sum of magnitudes of correlation of the modal displacement at each component for the first mode shape vector and second mode shape vector in the multi-component structure with a product of squared magnitudes of the first mode shape vector and second mode shape vector. Furthermore, the first mode shape and second mode shape of the multi-component structure are compared using the MAC.

Abstract: The suppression of off-axis audio in an audio environment is provided. Off-axis audio may be considered audio that does not originate from a region of interest. The off-axis audio is suppressed by comparing a phase difference between signals from two microphones to a target slope of the phase difference between signals originating from the region of interest. The target slope can be adapted to allow the region of interest to move with the location of a human speaker such as a driver.

Abstract: A microphone-array-based speech recognition system combines a noise cancelling technique for cancelling noise of input speech signals from an array of microphones, according to at least an inputted threshold. The system receives noise-cancelled speech signals outputted by a noise masking module through at least a speech model and at least a filler model, then computes a confidence measure score with the at least a speech model and the at least a filler model for each threshold and each noise-cancelled speech signal, and adjusts the threshold to continue the noise cancelling for achieving a maximum confidence measure score, thereby outputting a speech recognition result related to the maximum confidence measure score.

Abstract: A method is described for improving the accuracy of a transcription generated by an automatic speech recognition (ASR) engine. A personal vocabulary is maintained that includes replacement words. The replacement words in the personal vocabulary are obtained from personal data associated with a user. A transcription is received of an audio recording. The transcription is generated by an ASR engine using an ASR vocabulary and includes a transcribed word that represents a spoken word in the audio recording. Data is received that is associated with the transcribed word. A replacement word from the personal vocabulary is identified, which is used to re-score the transcription and replace the transcribed word.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a transcription support system supports transcription work to convert voice data to text. The system includes a first storage unit configured to store therein the voice data; a playback unit configured to play back the voice data; a second storage unit configured to store therein voice indices, each of which associates a character string obtained from a voice recognition process with voice positional information, for which the voice positional information is indicative of a temporal position in the voice data and corresponds to the character string; a text creating unit that creates the text in response to an operation input of a user; and an estimation unit configured to estimate already-transcribed voice positional information indicative of a position at which the creation of the text is completed in the voice data based on the voice indices.

Abstract: The wireless voice recognition system for data retrieval comprises a server, a database and an input/output device, operably connected to the server. When the user speaks, the voice transmission is converted into a data stream using a specialized user interface. The input/output device and the server exchange the data stream. The server uses a programming interface having an engine to match and compare the stream of audible data to a data element of selected searchable information. A data element of recognized information is generated and transferred to the input/output device for user verification.

Two or more speech samples are received, where each of the samples are of speech spoken by a non-native speaker, and where each of the samples are spoken in response to distinct prompts. The two or more samples are concatenated to generate a concatenated response for the non-native speaker, where the concatenated response is based on the two or more speech samples that were elicited using the distinct prompts. A concatenated speech proficiency metric is computed based on the concatenated response, and the concatenated speech proficiency metric is provided to a scoring model, where the scoring model generates a speaking score based on the concatenated speech metric.
