Abstract: The object is to provide a secure functional encryption scheme having a large number of cryptographic functions. An access structure is constituted by applying the inner-product of attribute vectors to a span program. The access structure has a degree of freedom in design of the span program and design of the attribute vectors, thus having a large degree of freedom in design of access control. A secure functional encryption process having a large number of cryptographic functions is implemented by employing the concept of secret sharing for the access structure.

Abstract: The present invention is suitable for use in a multi-encrypted system that dynamically allocates stream identifiers in a second stream depending upon the identifiers in a first stream. The first stream is monitored and counters are incremented with the presence of an identifier. The count for each of the counters is then received. Using the count, a control processor then assigns or revises identifiers in the second stream.

Abstract: Sensitive, Standard Telephone Equipment (STE) data is encapsulated into IP packets in a remotely deployed, secure communication system. The IP packets are addressed to a matching IP encapsulator/decapsulator device over the public Internet or other IP protocol network, that then passes it to a similar STE device over an ISDN link for decryption. The present invention is embodied in a system that provides secure Voice-Over-IP (VOIP), video and data network functionality in a single, small size deployable case, to a remote user. Most importantly, the embodiment allows for the routing of bulk encrypted (i.e., secure) data over a public network, e.g., the Internet.

Abstract: A transducer system is disclosed for detecting actual or simulated body sounds. An audio signal generation and detection system is disclosed for the purposes of simulating the medical examination of a patient or simulating the listening of sounds seeming to emanate from a live or inanimate body. A signal generator sets up a voltage potential at an electrode physically attached to the body, or electrically connected to a body, thereby setting up a voltage potential on a surface area of the body. An electric field potential sensor or a capacitive electrical sensor placed in proximity to the electrode or body surface then detects the voltage potential. The signals produced by the signal generator can represent heart, lung, bowel or other sounds and the electrical sensor can take the physical form of a listening device such as a stethoscope, thereby creating a simulation of listening to body sounds for medical diagnostic purposes.

Abstract: This hearing aid adjustment device is connected to a hearing aid and is used to adjust the hearing aid by using reference sounds, and comprises a memory section, an output section, an input section, a controller, and a display section. The memory section stores reference sounds to which segment information has been assigned, as well as the desired volume range for the hearing aid user. The output section outputs a reference sound from the memory section to the hearing aid. The input section inputs hearing aid processed sounds with respect to reference sounds that have undergone hearing aid processing in the hearing aid. The controller calculates the volume of segment units included in a hearing aid processed sound on the basis of segment information stored in the memory section. The display section displays in segment units whether or not the volume calculated by the controller falls within the desired volume range for the hearing aid user as stored in the memory section.

Abstract: A hearing apparatus has a housing, a receiver in the housing, and a sound conductor through which sound from the receiver is conducted out of the housing. In order to render the device as small as possible, the hearing apparatus has a cover piece which is inserted into the housing in such a way that a sound channel is formed. The sound channel is thereby delimited at the sides by the housing and the cover piece. A special sound-conducting tube can therefore be dispensed with.

The scissors mechanism, the positioning mechanism, the restoring element, the push-push type mechanism are disposed between the base and the cover, respectively. The scissors mechanism translates the cover vertically. The positioning mechanism translates the cover to an original position, a first position or a second position. The restoring element repositions the cover from the first position to the original position or the second position. The push-push type mechanism fixes the cover to the original position or the second position. The speaker module is disposed in the base or the cover, wherein the sound from the speaker module is able to be output from the interval between the base and the cover when the cover is at the second position.

Abstract: The present invention allows for the further enhancement of a low pitch range with a simple structure without increasing the size. The present invention is provided with: a pipe (102) open one end side and the other end side; a speaker unit (104) that is coaxial with the pipe (102), arranged at the one end side of the pipe (102), and driven on the basis of an audio signal; and an edge-cum-diaphragm (102B) that is coaxial with the pipe (102), installed at the other end side of the pipe (102), and vibrates in response to a sound wave that passes through the pipe (102). While the pipe (102) functions as a resonance tube by being excited to vibration with the sound wave that is radiated from the speaker unit (104) and passes through the pipe (102), the edge-cum-diaphragm (102B) functions as a passive radiator by vibrating in response to the sound wave that passes through the pipe (102).
