Abstract: A bulk shipping container has a plurality of removable supporting legs extending downwardly from a periphery of its interior space beyond the bottom of the container to support the container in an elevated position above a floor. Reinforcing straps positioned on the container hold the legs in their extended positions. A dolly may be positioned beneath the elevated container and the reinforcing straps removed to enable the weight of the container to cause it to slide down along the plurality of removable supporting legs to a lowered position resting on the dolly, which may then be used to transport the loaded container into a building for removal of product from the container.

Abstract: An active clearance control system utilizes a working fluid stream to control radial thermal growth and thereby a clearance between turbine blades and a corresponding shroud of a gas turbine engine. Conduits disposed about a turbine case and proximate to pads defined within the turbine case include a flow surface parallel to the pads. The pads are an area of increased thickness in the turbine case that receives impingement flow from the conduits. Grooves within the pads further increase impingement cooling flow effectiveness. The increased thickness of the pads provides the thermal mass desired to effect thermal expansion and contraction responsive to the cooling airflow.

Abstract: In a pump arrangement, each adjusting screw has first and second end portions, a third intermediate raised portion, and a fourth portion to allow each adjusting screw to be rotated clockwise/counterclockwise. Each first end portion passes through a suction liner aperture so left-handed threads couple to a respective left-handed seal ring aperture. Each second portion passes through a suction half casing aperture so the fourth portion can be accessed to allow clockwise/counterclockwise rotation of each adjusting screw. Each adjusting screw rotates clockwise and moves until the third portion pushes against the suction half casing, so the screw stops moving and the seal ring moves away from the suction liner as the screw is rotated clockwise, or rotates counterclockwise and moves until the third portion pushes against the suction liner, so the screw stops moving and the seal ring moves towards the suction liner as the screw is rotated counterclockwise.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for injecting water into a multistage axial compressor of a gas turbine. With low equipment cost, a significant power enhancement can be achieved, even under changing boundary conditions, by water being injected at a plurality of points along the axial compressor, and by the injected water mass flow being controlled at the individual injection points in accordance with ambient conditions and operating parameters of the gas turbine in such a way that an evened-out loading in the individual stages of the axial compressor can be created.
