  • Publication number: 20130031994
Abstract: A bevel gear drive with two bevel gears rotates about respective rotation axes intersecting at an intersection point, forming an angle of intersection. A computer determines the tooth shape of these tooth flanks based on data other than a tooth shape. The data are characteristic for a particular contact path represented by a sequence of contact points. The tooth shape of the tooth flanks is determined for several contact paths, with the interacting tooth flanks at all contact points having a common normal, which passes through a pitch point located between the two rotation axes and spaced from the intersection point equal to the radius r. Geometry data for the bevel gear are determined from the shape of the tooth flanks and stored in a format suitable for automatically generating a parts program for a processing machine with at least five axes.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for an integrated hydration and nutrition container with or within the handlebars of a cycling system (e.g., a bicycle). Such integration allows a rider easy access to the nutritional value necessary for high performance competition with little to no movement required, thereby allowing the rider to maintain focus, balance, speed, and aerodynamic efficiency. In one embodiment, the system is easily removable, if desired; yet holds firmly in place (with also available airfoil adjustments) on the desired handlebar positioning during a ride. In another embodiment, the container resides within the handlebar unit itself.

Abstract: Acid gas is removed from a feed gas in an absorber that produces a treated feed gas and a rich solvent. The treated feed gas is passed through an H2S scavenger bed, and the H2S scavenger bed is regenerated using H2S depleted acid gas flashed from the rich solvent. Most preferably, the off gas from the regenerating bed is injected into a formation.

Abstract: A small area electrostatic aerosol collector combines electrostatic collection of aerosol particles and electrohydrodynamic spraying of fluid so that a sample collected electrostatically can have fluid applied thereto. The fluid may assist with disaggregation and/or desalinization of biological material collected onto a sample substrate. A controller associated with the collector may control an electrostatic charge device and a spraying device such that the charge device and spraying device may operate in alternating fashion, or the charge device and spraying device may operate simultaneously. Further, mechanical systems are provided, for the disaggregation of particulate clusters collected onto a sample substrate.

Abstract: A filter device for filtering dust from air includes a housing, a dust collecting module, a spraying module, and an exhaust. The housing defines an air inlet near a bottom of the housing and an air outlet near a top of the housing. The dust collecting module is installed in the housing between the air inlet and the air outlet. The spraying module is placed in the housing between the dust collecting module and the air outlet. The exhaust is connected to the housing for generating air pressure difference between near the air outlet and near the air inlet, thereby drawing and introducing air containing dust from the bottom of the housing toward the top of the housing via the air inlet.

Abstract: The invention is a cooking/baking accessory that aids in cooking multiple types of different ingredients/items without having them mix and/or without having the flavors mix. Specifically, the accessory is a modular strip, made out of heat resistant non-stick material or materials, which can be used in one piece or combined with other identical modules to physically divide the cooking/baking area into separate smaller ones. The modularity is achieved by using a rectangular slit on the top side, a connector on one of the vertical edges and a hole on of the same shape as the connector on the other vertical edge.
