Publication number: 20130036956Abstract: A seed delivery system for use in a seeding machine that removes seed from a seed meter by capturing seed therefrom. The delivery system moves seed down to a lower discharge point and accelerates seed horizontally rearward to a speed approximately equal to the forward travel speed of the machine such that the seed, when discharged has a low or zero horizontal velocity relative to the ground. The delivery system uses a brush belt to capture, move and accelerate the seed. Publication number: 20130036958Abstract: A vessel stabiliser control system (12) includes a sensor fault detection means (16) which senses the availability of sensing signals from a gyrostabiliser precession motion sensor (10) and a vessel roll motion sensor (14). The control system (12) controls the action of a gyro-actuator (8) which is mechanically coupled to a gyrostabiliser (4). The benefit of employing fault sensing of the sensors providing the process control variables is that the sensed number of available process control variables (or sensors) can be used to activate a tiered system of control modes. Each tiered control mode is designed to utilise the available process control variables to ensure safe and effective operation of the gyrostabiliser (4) that is tolerant of sensor faults and loss of power supply. A control mode selector (18) is provided for selecting the appropriate control mode based on the number of available process control variables.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2011Publication date: February 14, 2013Applicant: Veem Ltd.Inventors: Paul Douglas Steinmann, Tristan Perez

Publication number: 20130036959Abstract: A gyrostabiliser control system and method for stabilising marine vessel motion based on precession information only. The control system employs an Automatic Gain Control (AGC) precession controller (60). This system operates with a gain factor that is always being gradually minimized so as to let the gyro flywheel (12) develop as much precession as possible—the higher the precession, the higher the roll stabilising moment. This continuous gain change provides adaptation to changes in sea state and sailing conditions. The system effectively predicts the likelihood of maximum precession being reached. Should this event be detected, then the gain is rapidly increased so as to provide a breaking precession torque. Once the event has passed, the system again attempts to gradually decrease the gain.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2011Publication date: February 14, 2013Applicant: Veem Ltd.Inventors: Paul Douglas Steinmann, Tristan Perez

Publication number: 20130036964Abstract: The present invention relates to a rudder resistance reducing method which utilizes a negative pressure to guide in gas for generating air bubbles, reducing the resistance of the rubber of a boat. The present invention uses an air bubble generator in front of the rudder for generating bubbles during rotation of the propeller of the boat to cause a high-speed flow of water without changing the original design of the boat, enabling the air bubbles to isolate contact between the high-speed flow of water and the rudder, thereby reducing rudder resistance and saving energy consumption.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2011Publication date: February 14, 2013Inventor: ZUEI-LING LIN

Publication number: 20130036965Abstract: A status indicator includes a display disc with a pin located within a central portion if the display disc, a first colored section, and a second colored section. The status indicator also includes a lens unit with an opaque section and a non-opaque section to alternately reveal the first colored section or the second colored section such that either the first or the second colored section is visible from any angle within a hemisphere below the status indicator. The status indicator also includes an indicator cam configured to receive a linear force initiated by an actuator component and to translate the linear force to a rotational force on the pin. The rotational force causes the display disc to rotate from a first position to a second position that aligns the second colored section with the non-opaque section.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 10, 2012Publication date: February 14, 2013Applicant: THOMAS & BETTS INTERNATIONAL, INC.Inventors: Charles Bindics, William Ayala, III, Geoffrey Reed

Publication number: 20130036967Abstract: A pressure differential is applied across a mold sheet and a semiconductor (e.g. silicon) wafer (e.g. for solar cell) is formed thereon. Relaxation of the pressure differential allows release of the wafer. The mold sheet may be cooler than the melt. Heat is extracted almost exclusively through the thickness of the forming wafer. The liquid and solid interface is substantially parallel to the mold sheet. The temperature of the solidifying body is substantially uniform across its width, resulting in low stresses and dislocation density and higher crystallographic quality. The mold sheet must allow flow of gas through it. The melt can be introduced to the sheet by: full area contact with the top of a melt; traversing a partial area contact of melt with the mold sheet, whether horizontal or vertical, or in between; and by dipping the mold into a melt. The grain size can be controlled by many means.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2012Publication date: February 14, 2013Applicant: 1366 TECHNOLOGIES INC.Inventor: 1366 TECHNOLOGIES INC.

Publication number: 20130036969Abstract: An apparatus and method for qualifying a filter used to filter fluid used in a coating operation associated with photolithography or other semiconductor manufacturing processes, provides a semiconductor manufacturing tool that includes a filter and an acoustic wave generator. The filter may be housed inside a filter housing and the acoustic wave generator may produce ultrasonic, megasonic or other acoustic energy. The acoustic wave generator contacts or is in close proximity with the filter housing and provides acoustic wave energy to the filter through the housing. The acoustic wave energy causes any bubbles in the filter to become disengaged.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2011Publication date: February 14, 2013Applicant: WAFERTECH, LLCInventor: Guy Jacobson
