Abstract: A cold/hot water balance valve prevents burning or scalding of the users. The valve is accommodated in the holding space preset into a dual-temperature ceramic valve. The balance valve mainly includes a hot water stop flange, protruded from a first lateral end wall, and meshed with a first end of a moveable spool to block a hot water stream when the first end shifts towards the first lateral end wall. A minimum cold water retaining portion is protruded from the second lateral end wall. When the second end of the moveable spool shifts towards the second lateral end wall, the minimum cold water retaining portion will be abutted onto the second end of the moveable spool, such that a minimum flow gap is reserved between the second end and the second lateral end wall, allowing for constant flow of water stream through the cold water slot of the moveable spool.

Abstract: A balance valve is provided with an asymmetric structure. When the dual-temperature ceramic valve is switched to cold water supply modes, and the hot water line is blocked to make a moveable spool abutted towards a first lateral end wall of a holding space, a cold water channel can thus be formed between the cold water opening of a fixed valve pipe and a second end of the moveable spool with the setting of the asymmetric structure. Hence, cold water supply can maintained. When the hot water line is blocked, the cold water supply function of the balance valve of the present invention could still be maintained for improved convenience and applicability.

Abstract: A tread band of raw elastomeric material is circumferentially applied around a bearing structure incorporating reinforcing cords, for forming a green tyre subsequently submitted to a curing treatment. The tread band is formed by: making an underlayer of raw elastomeric material; making blocks of raw elastomeric material; and applying the blocks mutually spaced apart according to a predetermined tread pattern, onto the underlayer. During introduction of the tyre into a curing mould, the blocks are put in alignment with respective forming recesses before closing the mould, so that each block is engaged in the respective forming recess, following closure of the mould.

Abstract: A layered structure suitable for use in a pneumatic tire as an innerliner is prepared by directly bonding a fluid permeation prevention film and an adhesive tie layer. Prior to the bonding, the fluid permeation prevention layer is treated to remove any residual plasticizers or oils on the surface of the film. The tie layer comprises 100 weight % of at least one halogenated isobutylene containing elastomer and about 1 to about 20 parts per hundred (phr) of at least one tackifier. The fluid permeation prevention film comprises an elastomeric component dispersed in a vulcanized or partially vulcanized state, as a discontinuous phase, in a matrix of the thermoplastic resin component. The two layers of the layered structure may be separately extruded and then adhered to each other or adhered to each other during a calendaring operation wherein the adhesive tie layer composition is coated onto the treated film.
