  • Publication number: 20130092362
Abstract: The present invention provides a heat dissipating structure for a light bulb and enhances the heat dissipating efficiency of the light bulb. The heat dissipating structure comprises a heat dissipating housing and a plurality of fins. The light source is assembled on the plurality of fins. The heat generated by the light source is conducted to the heat dissipating housing via the plurality of fins. In addition, a power driver is disposed at the bottom of the plurality of fins and dissipates heat through the heat dissipating housing. Thereby, the light source and the power driver, which are two heat sources, are disposed separately. Then the heat is transferred to the surrounding environment by means of the heat dissipating housing. Consequently, the overall heat dissipating process is accelerated, thus improving the light emitting efficiency and lifetime of the light bulb.

Abstract: A liner hanger is locked for run in to prevent accidental setting using a trapped collet assembly. The liner is internally pressurized to push a ring from which the collet extends. The collet heads leave a mandrel groove and compress a return spring while at the same time shouldering against an outer assembly that ramps the slips out on cones for a grip of the surrounding casing. Weight is released and the slips prevent the assembly attached to them from moving to hold the return spring compressed. Picking up weight releases the load on the slips of the hanger and allows the spring to retract the slips and return the collet assembly to the run in position in an exterior mandrel groove. This can be used with a relative rotation feature incorporated into the liner hanger to allow liner rotation during cementing, if desired.

Abstract: A downhole valve for use in a well has a closure device that is biased closed to seal against flow through the central bore of the valve. A plurality of pistons are each coupled to a respective hydraulic control line into the valve. Each piston is adapted to reside in an actuated position, supporting the closure open, when at least a specified hydraulic pressure is supplied through its control line, and to reside in an unactuated position, not supporting the closure open, when at least the specified hydraulic pressure is not present in its control line. The valve has a chamber containing a hydraulic fluid hydraulically coupling the pistons to support any piston not receiving the specified hydraulic pressure in an unactuated position. In certain aspects, when the piston is in the unactuated position, it seals against communication of fluid with its respective control line using a static-type seal.

At least one member is movably mounted with the string and includes an engagement profile. A tool is runnable with the string and has at least one sub with a key. The key is selectively engagable and disengagable with the engagement profile for enabling the tool to control movement of the member with respect to the string when engaged therewith. The key is engagable with the locking profile for restricting relative movement between the string and the tool when engaged therewith. A method of performing a downhole operation is also included.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention generally relate to tools and methods for hanging and/or expanding liner strings. In one embodiment, a method of hanging a liner assembly from a previously installed tubular in a wellbore includes running the liner assembly and a setting tool into the wellbore using a run-in string. The setting tool includes an isolation valve and the liner assembly includes a liner hanger and a liner string. The method further includes sending an instruction signal from the surface to the isolation valve, wherein the isolation valve closes in response to the instruction signal and isolates a setting pressure in the setting tool from the liner string; and increasing fluid pressure in the setting tool, thereby setting the liner hanger.

The method comprises the steps of introducing flexible bodies at a position higher in the well bore than the intended position for the seal and being in fluid contact with the intended position for the seal, the flexible bodies having a density that is higher than the fluid in the well bore, allowing the flexible bodies to settle at the intended position for the sealing, and allowing the flexible bodies to consolidate to form a sealing plug in the conduit. Flexible bodies are for use in the method and a method is for introduction of the flexible bodies.

Abstract: The fire extinguishing ball includes an outer ball cage, an inner ball cage freely rotatable within the outer ball cage about one axis, and an internal fire extinguishing assembly carried by the inner ball cage and freely rotatable therein about a different axis. The internal fire extinguishing assembly includes a hollow ball-shaped body containing compressed gas and fire extinguishing agents. A valve assembly attached to the top of the body permits refilling of the body and dispersion of the contents during operation. The internal fire extinguishing assembly is connected to the inner ball cage so that the valve assembly will be disposed on top when the fire extinguishing ball is at rest. The ball can be tossed or rolled towards fires in difficult to reach areas. Exposure to heat opens the valve in the valve assembly to thereby disperse the contents of the body and extinguish the flames.
